Chapter 347

Shrek got bored and left!

Looking at Tang San, who was sweating profusely on the playground and whose eyes were becoming increasingly determined, Lin Xia knew that although her haste had severed a crucial opportunity for him in the early stages, it had not truly damaged his foundation.

"Since the mere loss of opportunity by the Human-Faced Demon Spider is not enough to shake your foundation..."

Lin Xia also became interested, and a clear and bold idea instantly took shape.

"Then... go and intercept the immortal herb destined for you! Let's see how far your unique bloodline can go without the blessing of the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well."

Thinking of this, Lin Xia's smile suddenly widened. The smile was no longer cold and playful, but rather carried an almost cruel excitement that was about to unleash an even bigger storm.

He stopped looking at Tang San, who was training hard on the playground, turned around, and walked calmly but with an undeniable will towards the girls' dormitory.

The sense of loss left by the dilapidated environment of Shrek Academy had not completely dissipated in Meng Yiran's heart. She was trying to adapt to this simple dwelling, attempting to cover up her inner confusion and a trace of grievance by wiping the tables and chairs.

Ning Rongrong leaned lazily against the window, her slender fingers playing with a jade pendant, a token of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School, her eyes vacant, lost in thought.

Zhu Zhuqing sat cross-legged on her bed, closed her eyes and concentrated, her soul power flowing around her, and her icy aura seemed to freeze the surrounding air.

"Bang, bang, bang."

Three clear and rhythmic knocks broke the distinct atmosphere in the dormitory.

Zhu Zhuqing opened her eyes instantly, her icy blue pupils sharp as knives, and she withdrew her soul power.

Ning Rongrong stopped playing with the jade pendant and looked curiously towards the doorway.

Meng Yiran hurriedly put down the rag and subconsciously straightened her clothes.

The door was pushed open, and Lin Xia's tall figure appeared in the doorway, the morning light outlining his handsome yet aloof features. He didn't come in, but merely glanced calmly at the three women.

"Pack your things and come with me."

His voice was calm, yet carried an unquestionable air of command, as if he were stating something that had already been decided.

"Go? Where to?"

Ning Rongrong was the first to ask a question, her pretty face showing confusion.

"Didn't we just get back?"

Zhu Zhuqing stood up without asking any questions, simply showing her obedience through her actions, and began to pack her simple belongings efficiently. Her movements were crisp and clean, her eyes remaining aloof, as if Lin Xia's orders were merely part of her daily training.

Meng Yiran was somewhat at a loss. She looked at Ning Rongrong, then at Zhu Zhuqing who had already started to act, and finally cautiously looked at Lin Xia.

"Lord Lin...where are we going? Is there anything we need to prepare?"

She was filled with anxiety. She had just convinced herself to try to adapt to the environment here, but where was she going to be taken next?
Lin Xia's gaze fell on Meng Yiran, with a hint of scrutiny.

"Go to Tiandou City. Take your necessities, and don't worry about the rest."

He didn't explain further, as if Meng Yiran's question was superfluous.

Seeing that Lin Xia did not answer her question, Ning Rongrong pursed her lips, but knowing Lin Xia's personality, she muttered something.

"Heavenly Dou City? Finally, I can leave this wretched place."

Although her tone was complaining, her eyes revealed a hint of anticipation and relief, clearly indicating that she was also fed up with her environment at Shrek. She began to slowly and methodically pack her obviously more exquisite and expensive clothes and accessories.

Meng Yiran didn't dare to ask any more questions and quickly replied "yes." She also hurriedly began to pack her few belongings, feeling both nervous and inexplicably excited.

Heavenly Dou City!
That's the capital of the Heaven Dou Empire, far more prosperous than this remote Shrek Academy.

It's better to go with Lin Xia to see such a place than to be stuck in this wretched place.

Soon, the three women packed their belongings and put them into their storage soul tools.

Lin Xia nodded slightly, then turned and left. The three women immediately followed.

Zhu Zhuqing followed closely behind, her gait steady and her breath restrained.

Ning Rongrong pulled her small suitcase, her steps light and quick, carrying a sense of relief and joy.

Meng Yiran followed behind somewhat nervously, looking around with curiosity and unease.

Lin Xia didn't go to the boys' dormitory or notify anyone; instead, she went straight to Flanders' equally dilapidated dean's office.

He knew that Flander must be there right now, overwhelmed with worry about the change of ownership of the academy, the uncertain future, and Tang San's strange injuries.

The office door was ajar, and Flander's weary sigh could be heard from inside. Lin Xia didn't knock; she simply pushed the door open and entered.

Flander sat behind his worn-out desk, rubbing his temples, his face etched with worry and a deep sense of powerlessness. When Lin Xia suddenly barged in with three girls, he paused, then instinctively stood up.

"Lord Lin? What brings you here...?"

"Flander".

Lin Xia interrupted him, her voice flat and emotionless, as if she were informing him of something trivial.

"We're tired of Shrek Academy."

"Wh...what?"

Flander thought he had misheard, and the worry on his face was instantly replaced by astonishment.

Lin Xia ignored his reaction and continued speaking in that flat tone.

"I'm leaving now. You take good care of this academy."

He deliberately emphasized the word "operations" with a barely perceptible hint of mockery.

"If nothing unexpected happens, the people sent by the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School to take over should arrive soon."

After saying that, Lin Xia didn't even give Flander any chance to react or ask questions. Her gaze swept indifferently over Flander's face, which was frozen in shock, as if she were looking at a roadside stone.

Then, without hesitation, he turned around and walked away.

"Lord Lin! Wait! What...what do you mean? Where are you going?"

Flander finally realized what was happening and hurriedly chased after him out of the office, his voice filled with panic and disbelief.

When Lin Xia left, did he take away not only the three girls with extraordinary backgrounds who were with him?

Wouldn't it be difficult to gather enough students for one's own program?

However, Lin Xia did not stop walking at all, and did not even turn her head.

Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong followed closely behind, ignoring Flander's shouts.

Only Meng Yiran, after taking a few steps, subconsciously looked back and saw Dean Flander's dejected figure standing at the door of the dilapidated office as if abandoned. A pang of pity flashed through her heart, but when she saw Lin Xia's resolute back, she immediately turned back and jogged to catch up.

Flander's outstretched hand froze in mid-air as he watched the four figures disappear beyond the crooked fence of Shrek Academy, vanishing at the end of the path leading to the outside world.

A tremendous sense of powerlessness and anger at being abandoned welled up inside him. He slumped down, leaned against the decaying door frame, and stared at the empty academy, his eyes filled with bitterness and confusion.

He knew that the real test for Shrek Academy, or rather, for him as its nominal dean, was only just beginning.
