Chapter 3: Don't reason when fighting in a group.

"Hey! These little paupers are even imitating us running!"

Two young men, around eleven or twelve years old, along with three shorter subordinates, blocked the way for the work-study students.

The young man glanced at the group of work-study students with a mocking expression.

There are ten work-study students in total: one from the sixth grade, one from the fourth grade, three from the third grade, four from the second grade, and only one freshman, Chi Ping.

"Another new person has arrived."

The young man in the lead took two steps toward Chi Ping, who was panting to the side, and stretched out his right hand as if to touch Chi Ping's hair.

"Wei Dapeng!" Wang Wen grabbed the young man's arm and shouted angrily, "Don't go too far!"

Wei Dapeng wasn't annoyed by being stopped. He smiled and looked at Wang Wen, "Xiao Wenzi, what are you doing? I just wanted to get to know the new junior."

The three henchmen following behind Wei Dapeng spread out to the left and right, blocking the exit for the work-study students.

Wang Wen pulled Chi Ping behind him, and the work-study students formed a circle, with the five senior students on the outside and the five junior students in the middle for protection.

"Xiao Wenzi, you don't need to be so nervous."

Wei Dapeng's eyes narrowed, and he smiled sinisterly, like a venomous snake about to bite.

Wang Wen's Adam's apple bobbed up and down. He didn't say anything, but simply stood guard between Wei Dapeng and the work-study student.

—This guy's martial spirit is related to snakes, so he might use poison!

Chi Ping had a guess in his mind. As the saying goes, appearance reflects the heart. Martial spirit is related to bloodline, spirit, and physical condition. One can often judge the characteristics of one's martial spirit from physical features.

This poison certainly won't kill anyone, but it will definitely cause discomfort for several days or even months, and it will also interfere with cultivation. Wang Wen probably suffered at Wei Dapeng's hands before, so he's very wary now. A few months' delay in a year will definitely affect Wang Wen's advancement to Soul Master. Even so, Wang Wen still stepped forward to stop Wei Dapeng from attacking him, truly behaving like a boss!

The work-study students are outnumbered and can't possibly win a direct fight. Wang Wen is a man of strong character and will not surrender easily; a fight is inevitable. Therefore, we must minimize our losses!

While Chi Ping was pondering, the five people surrounding the work-study students began to tighten their encirclement, forcing the ten students into a circle with a diameter of less than one meter.

Five senior students were on the outermost perimeter, followed by four second-year students, while Ikehira, the youngest, was protected in the very center.

Every work-study student bared their teeth and tried to appear fierce, but the way they retreated gave the impression that they were all bark and no bite.

The five men pressed closer and closer, forcing the student to retreat again and again.

There is a limit to regression; when there is nowhere left to retreat, a breakthrough will occur.

"Let's do it!"

At Wang Wen's command, the five senior work-study students rushed out instantly, each facing an enemy. Wang Wen faced Wei Dapeng, and Wang Sheng faced another sixth-year student.

Chi Ping was protected in the middle by four lower-grade work-study students, who cautiously observed the battle situation.

The most intense fight was between Wang Sheng and Wang Wen.

As Chi Ping had predicted, Wei Dapeng's martial soul was a snake. After the martial soul possessed him, his fingernails turned black, clearly indicating that it was poisonous.

Both wolves and tigers are powerful and domineering beast spirits. Although Wang Wen was hampered by the poison, he was still able to protect himself from injury.

"Brother Wang, Brother Xiao, Brother Zhang, Brother Tang, the boss and the others are fighting the enemy, we can't just stand by and watch!" Chi Ping whispered. None of the younger students had powerful martial souls, and their soul power was less than level 3. At six or seven years old, if they went up to fight, they would be taken down one by one. But if they used the right methods, they could turn the tide.

"Xiaoping, what do you want to do?" Brother Xiao asked.

Chi Ping looked around to make sure no one was paying attention to them, then said, "Let's grab some sand and throw it in their eyes. Suddenly they can't see anyone, and we'll take them down in no time! Let's help Brother Du and the others deal with their opponents first, then we'll swarm in and take down Wei Dapeng!"

After saying that, Chi Ping scooped up two handfuls of sand from the ground.

It doesn't hurt when someone hits you with their small arms and legs, but getting sand in your eyes has nothing to do with strength.

Chi Ping's actions were like opening a valve, and his four older brothers immediately sprang into action.

The five of them quietly approached the two men, Brother Du and the boy with the short stick martial spirit, who were wrestling together. After reaching a suitable distance, Chi Ping made the first move, seizing the opportunity and throwing a handful of sand at the short stick boy's face.

The others followed suit, reaching out with whatever they were holding.

The man with the short stick couldn't dodge in time and was instantly blinded.

"superior!"

At Chi Ping's command, the four men, along with Brother Du, understood immediately and began to circle and kick the man with the short stick.

The other students who were fighting were startled by Chi Ping and his group's unsportsmanlike behavior and became timid and hesitant, which made the work-study students who were being suppressed and beaten feel much more relaxed.

"Well done, Xiaopingzi!" Wang Wen shouted excitedly.

"Ha! Not only are they poor bastards, but they're also despicable scoundrels!" Wei Dapeng sneered disdainfully, but he remained cautious and wary of Chi Ping and his group getting close.

"Let's fight! What business is it of yours what we use!" Wang Wen said coldly, clearly displeased by Wei Dapeng's label of "bad seed." He exerted force from his lower body and threw a powerful straight punch.

Before Wang Wen had to wait long, Chi Ping and the others knocked out the man with the short stick and immediately helped the others out of the predicament, and the enemies fell to the ground one after another.

Although Wei Dapeng was not weak, he had not obtained a spirit ring, so his strength had not undergone a qualitative change. He did not have the ability to fight ten people at once, and he was beaten black and blue by Wang Wen and the others.

"Get lost! We'll beat you up again next time you come!"

After kicking Wei Dapeng to the ground, the work-study students looked at each other and saw the smiles in each other's eyes.

"Hahaha!"

Wang Wen laughed heartily, and his laughter infected everyone.

"Finally, I've gotten my revenge! Let's go, let's keep training!"

The work-study students were all smiles as they continued their morning exercise.

Simply giving in is never the way to find peace. If someone bullies you, you must fight back from the start! Fight back fiercely, regardless of the cost!

If someone punches me once, I'll punch them ten times back!

Although two days later, Guard Da Peng and his gang surrounded the work-study students again, ganging up on them and giving them a severe beating, forcing everyone to stay in bed for two days.

Chi Ping was beaten the worst for protecting Wang Wen and was also poisoned by Wei Dapeng, suffering a high fever for three days! He almost time-traveled again!

However, thanks to Chi Ping's voluntary sacrifice, Wang Wen suffered the fewest injuries and retained the most complete combat strength, protecting the safety of Dormitory 7 during the days when the work-study students were recuperating.

After this incident, Chi Ping was able to fully integrate into the work-study group and became the third most important person after Wang Wen and Wang Sheng.

The culprit, Wei Dapeng, was also in trouble. Chi Ping blocked his poison, allowing Wang Wen to act freely.

Moreover, Wang Wen was deeply moved by Chi Ping's voluntary sacrifice and had a burst of energy, while Wei Dapeng's fate was not much better than that of the work-study students.

During the days when Chi Ping was in a coma, Wang Wen felt deeply guilty. In his emotional turmoil, he actually broke through the Soul Power realm and officially advanced to the tenth level of Soul Power. After Wang Sheng was able to get out of bed, with the help of the school teachers, he obtained a white Soul Ring and became a formal Soul Master!
