Chapter 1066
Mo Fan's Bewilderment
"Old Zhao, look at the strange rocks in this godforsaken place, they look just like the ones you saw last time—"
Mo Fan's words caught in his throat before he could finish.
He saw the SUV speeding towards him.
They also saw a large group of ferocious demons behind the SUV.
Time seemed to stand still for a second.
Mo Fan and Zhao Manyan exchanged a glance, both reading the same message in each other's eyes.
Confused.
what's the situation?
Where did this SUV come from?
What about the group of demons behind them?
next second.
Time has returned to normal.
The horde of demons had already rushed in front of them.
The three leading Sand Tigers clearly realized that the two humans riding camels were easier prey, and without hesitation, they changed direction and pounced on Mo Fan and Zhao Manyan with their blood-red mouths wide open!
"Holy shit!"
Mo Fan and Zhao Manyan spoke in unison.
Completely by reflex, Mo Fan raised his hands and instantly activated shadow magic.
His figure transformed into a cloud of black mist, vanished from the camel's back, and reappeared atop a mound ten meters away the next second.
Zhao Manyan was not so lucky.
He specializes in light and earth elements, which puts him at a disadvantage in terms of combat power.
A giant claw of a cave scorpion had already swept towards the leg of the camel he was riding!
"Aegis of the Gods!"
Zhao Manyan reacted extremely quickly, and golden light emanated from his hand, forming a light shield in front of him.
The giant claw slammed into the light shield, producing a deafening impact.
The camel was startled and neighed, its front hooves rearing up, almost throwing Zhao Manyan off.
"Old Zhao!"
Mo Fan shouted from the mound, lightning magic already forming in his hand.
"Thunder Seal!"
Purple lightning ripped through the dust-filled sky, striking precisely the burrowing scorpion that had attacked Zhao Manyan.
The scorpion's shell shattered, emitting a painful hiss.
"Old Zhao! To the left! Three more are coming from the left!"
Mo Fan casually flicked out a ball of fire.
Zhao Manyan's golden light shield blocked the sneak attack with a clang, and the Sand Howling Tiger's claws made a piercing sound as they scratched the light shield.
"Mo Fan, you jinx! You said we'd be safe once we got out of this Gobi Desert?!"
"How was I supposed to know that Teacher Fu's speeding would cause a massive migration of demons!"
Mo Fan scrambled to his feet and saw a modified SUV speeding towards him in the distance, kicking up dust. A little girl wearing goggles was sitting on the roof of the vehicle.
Who else could it be but Lingling?
Fu Ye, in the driver's seat, held the steering wheel with one hand while leisurely drinking an energy drink with the other. Dozens of sand tigers and sand giant lizards ran wildly behind his car, creating a spectacular scene reminiscent of a desert version of "Fast and Furious".
"Holy shit!!!"
Mo Fan's scream pierced the sky.
Fu Ye clearly saw them too. His eyes lit up, and with a graceful tail-spin, he turned and charged straight at them, followed closely by the demon army.
"Hehehe! Here you go!"
Fu Ye even honked the horn twice in a cheerful manner.
"Follow my foot!"
Zhao Manyan's light shield was almost collapsing.
"Holy crap!! What's Teacher Fu Ye doing here?! And he's driving so fast!"
The SUV whizzed past them, and Lingling, perched on the car window, waved her little hand.
"Hahaha, you two help us share the hatred!"
Dozens of demons braked suddenly, their murky eyes fixed on Mo Fan and Zhao Manyan, as if confirming a new target.
The air was quiet for a second.
Run!!!
The two spoke in unison and turned to climb onto the camel.
As it turned out, those two camels were even smarter than them, and had already taken off running, disappearing into the distance as just two tiny dots on the horizon.
"You heartless beast!" Mo Fan was on the verge of tears.
The battle scene immediately became extremely chaotic.
Mo Fan's fire magic exploded everywhere, while Zhao Manyan's light defenses were patched up here and there. The two fought while blaming each other.
"Zhao Manyan, can you make your shield a little bigger?! I'm going to get bitten in the butt!"
"How dare you say that! Who told you to insist on taking this shortcut!"
"That's still better than being a human bait for Teacher Fu Ye!"
Taking advantage of the chaos, a giant sand lizard lunged at Mo Fan's back, but Zhao Manyan quickly erected a light shield to block it.
"See that? When it really matters, you have to rely on your brothers!"
"Yes, yes, yes, Uncle Zhao is awesome... Holy crap, here it comes again!"
Off-road vehicles were parked on a small sand dune in the distance, watching the game.
Fu Ye pulled out a bag of sunflower seeds from somewhere and gave half of them to Lingling.
"Fu Ye, aren't we going a bit too far?"
Lingling cracked sunflower seeds, her short legs dangling back and forth.
"I'm a teacher, this is called hands-on teaching, understand?"
Fu Ye spoke with a straight face, but a mischievous smirk played on his lips.
On the battlefield, Mo Fan finally unleashed the Fierce Fist - Nine Palaces, a pillar of fire shooting into the sky, temporarily clearing a space.
He and Zhao Manyan stood back to back, panting heavily, covered in sand and looking utterly disheveled.
I said,
Zhao Manyan wiped his face.
"Why is Teacher Fu Ye here? And doesn't he seem to be eating sunflower seeds right now?"
Mo Fan took a closer look and almost fainted from anger.
"It really is! Lingling is eating too!"
"Teacher Fu!"
Zhao Manyan let out a long, drawn-out wail.
"If they don't come to rescue us soon, we'll be visiting their graves next year!"
Seeing them like this...
Fu Ye then slowly stood up and patted the sunflower seed shells off his hands.
He raised his hand and snapped his fingers.
A silver light suddenly shone from the ground, and a complex star map unfolded instantly.
It wasn't an offensive spell, but a giant teleportation array.
All the demons lost their footing and fell into the suddenly appearing quicksand pit, where they were swallowed up completely in the blink of an eye.
The world is quiet.
Fu Ye walked over, bent down, and looked at them with a smile.
"Hey, isn't this Mo Fan and Zhao Manyan? What are you two doing in Dunhuang?"
As Fu Ye spoke, pale blue water-based energy condensed in his palm, blocking all the servant-level and even warrior-level demons that surrounded him from afar.
"Holy crap! You... how did you all end up here?!" Zhao Manyan looked at Fu Ye with disbelief, while Mo Fan unleashed a thunderbolt at another Sand Roaring Tiger.
"Well, I heard that a fire elemental spirit is about to be born here, so I thought I'd come and see. I didn't expect you guys to be here too."
Fu Ye steered the wheel with one hand, his face radiating contentment.
The next second, Fu Ye snapped his fingers again, and dozens of water tornadoes appeared out of thin air, sweeping the dozen or so sand cave demons that were trying to surround Zhao Manyan into the sky.
Not long after.
Zhao Manyan and Mo Fan finally stood firm and patted their chests.
"My God, that's terrifying! There are at least thirty of these demons! Fu Ye, what on earth did you two do?"
"Racing in the Gobi Desert."
Lingling said expressionlessly, her tablet displaying an energy distribution map.
"After all, the earth vein energy here is abnormal, and demons are prone to becoming restless."
Mo Fan rolled his eyes, looking like his mother had died.
"Speeding attracts monsters."
