: Hunter's Mission

....................................

Lin Zhiying is standing at the Regent Hotel in City A from the original story.

Not far away is the CBD of City A, the bustling area that Lu Mingfei described as "where marble reflects a skirt."

The world seems peaceful now, which is good, but everything will change with the arrival of players.

Of course, this is not entirely the players' fault. The resurgence of the Dragon Clan has always been a major event in the Dragon Clan, but the existence of players will amplify this impact countless times.

Old Tang came up the stairs, panting, carrying a briefcase and two cups of milk tea.

"I really don't understand why you people always like to meet on the rooftop."

Lin Zhiying took the milk tea from his hand and spoke.

"It'll make escaping easier. Roads on the ground are always congested, but roads in the sky are much less congested."

Old Tang, imitating Lin Zhiying, sat on the steps of the wind turbine, looking at the bustling night view outside, and then took out a stack of documents from his briefcase.

"This task was originally for me, but after looking at it, I found it to be very simple and I can transfer it to you. It can serve as your beginner task."

Thanks.

After thanking him, Lin Zhiying took the file from Old Tang. It contained the mission requirements, target information, and some other things.

Because I joined the "Hunter" faction, the panel reacted the moment I opened the bag.

[Prank (Level E)]

[Mission Description: The target located in the Runde Building has offended some powerful figures. Your mission is to teach them a small lesson as required.]

[Task Reward: 1 yuan]

A reward of 10,000 yuan is barely enough for an E-level task, so it's no wonder that Lao Tang didn't think much of it. However, this also means that the difficulty level won't be too high.

"I've already compiled all the intelligence for you, and the mission items are included."

Old Tang pointed to the file folder next to him.

Whether it was to minimize his own losses or something else, having Lao Tang around certainly saved Lin Zhiying a lot of trouble. Otherwise, he would have had to spend a lot of time just investigating the mission objectives.

Lin Zhiying continued to examine the file, and to her surprise, it turned out to be someone she knew.

He was a character with a name and a proper fight with Chu Zihang in the original work, and I didn't expect him to be featured in "Dragon Raja: New World".

Name: Tang Wei

[A hybrid race, with unknown Word of Power; when used, it emits a blue light and appears to have a binding effect; owns a security company with numerous personnel; a level three hunter...]

Isn't this the person who took the box from Kassel College?

Lin Zhiying hadn't expected the mission to involve dealing with him. "He's a hunter too, is it alright to treat him like this?"

Old Tang patted him on the shoulder, telling him to rest assured.

"It's alright. Hunters should be aware of this. If we help others, someone will naturally come after us."

He seemed to have thought of something, sighed, and said with some emotion:

"So, brother, I'm giving you a piece of advice: it's best to avoid jobs that require killing or fighting."

"Because of the high risk?"

Lin Zhiying has a question.

"That's one point. More importantly, we've reached the point of fighting to the death. I'm already completely invested in both sides. Now that you've got blood on your hands, it won't be so easy for you to get away."

After finishing his sentence, Old Tang took a big gulp of milk tea to calm himself down.

"Of the hunters who were in the same batch as me back then, there are only a few left now. Many of them took on this kind of mission, and either they failed and died, or they were sought after for revenge. The worst one was riddled with bullets by a Gatling gun on his birthday, and the bullets burned out two pounds of his body."

Lin Zhiying nodded thoughtfully after listening. Players aren't afraid of death, so Old Tang's words took on a different meaning to him.

Old Tang said that "don't take on killing missions" because it would "get you into trouble," but what he heard was that "killing missions" might "trigger follow-up missions."

This is a good thing!

However, he outwardly expressed his agreement, saying that he could fish like that again when the opportunity arose.

"Alright, let's not talk about this anymore, brother. When are you planning to make your move?"

Old Tang finished his milk tea, politely put it in the bag next to him, and carried it in his hand.

"There's no time like the present, let's do it today."

Lin Zhiying thought for a moment and then said.

"Okay bro, I'll go check out the place for you first. Contact me when you get there."

Old Tang then went downstairs and left.

He shouldn't find it difficult to complete an E-level mission, but even a lion uses its full strength to hunt a rabbit, so he plans to wait until his mana bar recovers a bit more before proceeding.

Moreover, he needed to use this thing. Lin Zhiying flipped his hand over, and there was the crystal he had obtained from the B-level Deadpool.

Deadpool Crystal (Grade B)

【Effect:

1. After being subjected to a Deadpool mental shock, the Deadpool transformation level increases by 5% (the impact is calculated based on the Deadpool's strength).

2. Obtain one of the Words of Power possessed by Deadpool (Current Word of Power: Blazing Sun)

[Description: The crystalline substance that Deadpool drops has some uses, but also carries a high risk.]

This is another source of Word of Power: Deadpool drops. Normally, NPCs don't drop it when they die; it only drops from dragons or Deadpools.

However, the probability has always been low. According to calculations on the previous forum, there was only a 5% chance of getting a rare item, and the chance of drawing a Word of Power was also relatively weak.

However, this one is alright for now, as it only has one Word of Power: "Blazing Sun". It's possible that the Word of Power evolved after the Deadpool transformation, but Lin Zhiying doesn't know what it was before.

He squeezed the long, thin crystal with a slight pressure, and the next moment a surge of heat flowed into his body.

The venomous face of that B-grade Deadpool flashed through his mind, but Lin Zhiying's mental affinity was as high as 30 points, so he only felt slightly dizzy and then it passed.

The Deadpool transformation is a bit more troublesome. Once it exceeds 50%, it becomes irreversible. If it goes any higher, some dragon-like features will appear on the body surface. When it reaches 100%, the player will die instantly.

This death will result in the loss of all items, and the corpse will spawn a Deadpool that is slightly stronger than the original, which can be considered a small adaptation of the original work.

Countless rays of light were reflected on the glass in front of Lin Zhiying, and the object that shone was himself.

This is the effect of "Word of Power: Blazing Sun". It can activate the fire element within the field and emit a strong light of 4000 lumens. It only has a little bit of high temperature and then it's gone.

Isn't this just a human-shaped flashbang?

It sounds a bit useless, and it really is. Flashbangs? Let's talk about grenades. They can't see you, but the area damage is something you can't avoid either.

There's a line in "Dragon Raja: New World" that says there are no useless Words of Power, only useless hybrids. To this, Xuan Yu Company's answer is to add stats. Simply making it glow is useless, but what if I gave you a brief period of invincibility when casting a Word of Power?

The duration is short, only 0.1 seconds, and it has a built-in one-hour cooldown, but even so, the upper limit of this power has been greatly raised.

In the previous life, some curious players specifically tested the "Mountain and Earth Dragon King," who is the "Mountain and Earth King" who releases "Word of Power: Shiva's Dance" in the second stage.

Although he still died in the end, he should have died from the first hit, but he survived until the second hit.

With this 0.1-second invincibility, the upper limit has been raised a lot, at least it is no longer the "useless level" it used to be.

After strengthening himself, Lin Zhiying slowly took the elevator downstairs. As he went down, he suddenly felt someone in front of him, but when he looked up, there was nothing there.
