Chapter 3

Li Li

"Can you really cure mental disorders?"

While I was still wondering why Mr. Li was calling me, he got straight to the point.

"My family's ancestral Four Gods Formula is a cure for mental illness!" I said.

There was an unspeakable silence on the other end of the phone.

After a long pause, Mr. Li's voice came through, "My daughter is having some mental health issues..."

"1200! I make 1200 per house call!"

I interrupted Mr. Li.

My point is simple: you won't lose out or be cheated by buying something for 1200.

Regardless of whether I can cure you or not, you're such a big boss, do you really need a thousand two hundred?

Mr. Li, being a shrewd businessman, immediately understood and said, "Where is your shop? I'll send a car to pick you up!"

An hour later, in a detached villa in Kangcheng Garden, I frowned as I looked at the girl who was huddled in the corner of the room, hugging her knees, shouting for me to leave like a frightened little animal. I quietly took out a palm-sized copper plate from my cloth bag.

After placing the copper plate on the table, I took out two small boxes containing incense powder, scooped out a spoonful of incense ash from one box and spread it evenly on the copper plate, then scooped out two spoonfuls of incense powder from the other box, stacked them into a tower shape, and then lit them.

"This is……"

Mr. Li gave me a questioning look.

"Calming incense!"

I gestured towards the girl inside and said, "She's not in a good condition for acupuncture. Let's wait until she falls asleep!"

"well!"

Mr. Li nodded quickly.

"Let's go outside and talk!"

After lighting the calming incense, I glanced at the girl and said.

After leaving the room, we didn't go downstairs; we just stood guard outside the door.

"Mr. Li, how did Li Li become like this? I need to find the right treatment!"

After we came out, I asked directly.

Mr. Li remained silent for a long while before saying, "Xiao Li was kidnapped by my competitor and tortured in a cage for half a month. When she came back, she was like this. I've consulted many doctors, but none of them have a good solution!"

At this point, Mr. Li paused, looked up at me, and asked, "Master Feng, are you confident you can cure Little Fox?"

"Xiao Li's condition is due to shock and disorientation, with wind-evil entering the body, leading to madness and autism. A severe calming method is needed, involving thirteen needles along the Du meridian!"

I said in a deep voice.

"Master Feng, please feel free to use the acupuncture needles. As long as you can cure Xiao Li, I will fully cooperate!" said Mr. Li.

"Um!"

I nodded and didn't say anything more!

Even now, I still don't know what this Mr. Li does, but coming from Hedong and using such ruthless methods against his opponents, he's most likely involved with coal.

Twenty minutes later, I gently pushed open the door, and Li Li was already asleep in the corner.

Mr. Li carried her to the bed, tidied her messy hair, revealing a pale and thin face.

At this time, she was completely different from the plump and wealthy woman she would become later; her face was so thin that she was almost unrecognizable.

I first took Li Li's pulse, and my judgment was correct; she was indeed frightened and disoriented, and had been infected by wind-evil.

After taking her pulse, I asked Mr. Li to turn Li Li over so that her back was to me, and then I inserted needles from Baihui, Fengfu, and Dazhui all the way to Changqiang.

After inserting the needles, I breathed a sigh of relief and said to Mr. Li, "Mr. Li, it's done. Remove the needles in half an hour!"

"Why!"

Looking at Li Li on the bed, President Li sighed, a hint of heartache flashing in his eyes.

Half an hour later, starting from Changqiang, Yaoyang, and Mingmen, the needles were removed from Baihui acupoint, thus concluding the first acupuncture session.

As the last silver needle was removed, Li Li's eyelids twitched twice.

"Little Tanuki, Little Tanuki!"

Seeing that Li Li had woken up, President Li called out softly twice.

"Mr. Li, stop calling her, let her sleep!" I whispered.

"Um!"

Mr. Li nodded and sat down to one side.

Twenty minutes later, Li Li opened her eyes. When she saw me, her eyes still showed panic, but she was much better than when she screamed when I first arrived.

Seeing this, Mr. Li said to me with delight, "Master Feng, it works! Acupuncture works!"

Ten minutes later, after calming Li Li down, Mr. Li saw me off.

Before I got in the car, Mr. Li gave me a large red envelope.

When I got home, I opened it and saw that there was 10,000 yuan inside.

I thought about it and then called Dacheng.

"Dacheng, what's the background of this Mr. Li?"

After the call connected, I asked directly.

Da Cheng smiled and said, "Brother Feng, you might not know him, but you've definitely heard of his nephew!"

"Who is his nephew?" I asked.

"Li Bao, the one who took over the family business at the age of twenty-three, was selected for the Forbes list two years ago, and was named the richest man in Hedong!" Da Cheng said with a hint of envy.

"Is it the one whose father was shot?" I said.

Compared to taking over the family business in his twenties, his father's murder caused a sensation at the time, with major media outlets vying to report on it.

"Yes, that's it!"

Da Cheng replied.

"Brother Feng, when I was attending to President Yang and President Li yesterday, I heard some news: President Li and his nephew have a very bad relationship!"

As he spoke, Da Cheng's voice suddenly became softer.

"Not good? How is it not good?" I asked, a thought suddenly occurring to me.

"It's gotten to the point where we want to kill them!" Da Cheng said.

"Really?"

For some reason, Li Li's terrified little face inexplicably popped into my mind.

"Really, why would I lie to you? President Li came to Beijing this time to pull strings and mess with his nephew. It's just infighting within a wealthy family, Brother Feng!"

Da Cheng's voice was a little softer, but even a fool could hear the excitement in it.

"Alright, Brother Feng, I'm done talking to you, I've got some work to do!"

After saying that, Da Cheng hung up the phone.

I frowned and stared at my phone for a long time, recalling the complex emotions that flashed in Mr. Li's eyes when he talked about Li Li's kidnapping earlier that day.

Could Li Li have been kidnapped by someone hired by her brother?

If that's the case, what kind of grudge could have driven Li Bao to such a vicious act, attacking his own cousin?

For the next week, I gave Li Li acupuncture twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

Li Li's condition improved with each visit, and she noticed that I was no longer as frightened as I had been at the beginning.

The only downside is that she still doesn't speak, remaining in a semi-closed state.

That afternoon, just after being driven back by General Manager Li, General Manager Yang called.

"Brother Feng, we didn't have a great chat the other night, and I promised to treat you to dinner. I've been so busy these past few days, but I'm free today. How about we get together?"

After the call connected, Mr. Yang spoke directly.

"OK!"

After thinking it over, I realized this was a rare opportunity and readily agreed.

"Oh, by the way, Mr. Shi from Kongmei.com is here too. He said he wanted to thank you in person and even offered to give you a free membership to their website!"

At this point, Mr. Yang paused, then said in a tone that most men would understand, "Their level is the same as mine. They can not only see photos, but also videos!"

"Alright, that's enough. I'll have Xiao Cheng pick you up later!"

After chatting for a couple more minutes, Mr. Yang hung up the phone.
