Chapter 180

Because when making a decision, someone needs to give it a push. If no one does, how will that person know if the decision is correct?
Hydra, who was some distance away, paused for a moment, then a bright smile, like the spring sunshine, bloomed on her face, as gentle as a breeze blowing into the distance. "Of course, I agree."
The gust of wind reached Harry, causing his hand to slip limply, and his heart to pound.
No one knows who started it, but applause suddenly erupted in the auditorium. At first, it was just like raindrops falling, but then it turned into a storm.
clap clap clap!
The entire Great Hall was applauding. The students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang followed suit, unaware of Harry and Hydra's past; they were simply going with the flow.
Even Dumbledore, standing at the professor's table, took off his half-moon spectacles, wiped away tears of emotion from the corners of his eyes, and gently clapped, "Ah~! What a beautiful love~!"
Professor McGonagall smiled and gently patted her forehead with both hands.
"Congratulations, congratulations!" Jimmy had just seen that Luna had clapped first; this was truly a testament to Master Luna's extraordinary wisdom!
Harry's head was buzzing, and he quickly lowered his head, burying himself in the food on the table.
The problem that had been bothering him for a month was finally solved. He felt both melancholy and inexplicably relieved, at least he no longer needed to worry about finding a dance partner.
The next day, red and gold ribbons were hung around the castle.
Early in the morning, Hagrid brought a fir tree to the auditorium, which Professor Flitwick hung with gift boxes. A bright five-pointed star at the top of the tree provided a soft light for the auditorium.
The ghosts in the auditorium were singing special Christmas carols, and everyone got up early to open their presents.
Jimmy's gifts this year were the same as in previous years, or even more, because he had gained many business partners and connections within the Ministry of Magic.
Jimmy would send out the gifts a day in advance so that those who hadn't prepared gifts for him would have time to reciprocate.
However, unwrapping gifts wasn't the main topic today. Early in the morning, he and the other roommates tried on their formal wear.
Fortunately, Jimmy had the foresight to order a suit from a department store tuxedo shop a long time ago, and now he only needs to make it slightly larger to fit perfectly.
A black suit is more understated and normal than Ron's tuxedo and Harry's red suit.
“I should have bought one myself. Lavender’s taste isn’t very good.” Ron didn’t complain too much. Even if Lavender’s taste wasn’t good, it was still better than the dress his mother sent him.
“Me too…” Harry felt like he was a walking chili pepper in the mirror, and even though the tuxedo was a gift from Sirius Black, his thoughts wouldn’t change.
Neville's parents have good taste; the dress they chose was ordinary, but at least it wouldn't be a mistake.
Chapter 308 Dressing Up
"Jimmy, quickly use Transfiguration to conjure up a set of clothes for me, something similar to yours will do."
Ron tried to get help from Jimmy, but Jimmy refused.
“I can’t let you waste Lavender’s good intentions; at least she likes them, doesn’t she?”
Seamus just stood there pointing at Ron and laughing, and it was a mocking laugh.
Harry laughed for a while, then suddenly remembered something, "Jimmy, I forgot to ask, who's your dance partner?"
“Hermione, of course,” Jimmy said matter-of-factly, adjusting his bow tie.
Neville, humming a tune and practicing ballroom dance steps, said, "Hermione is Jimmy's girlfriend, didn't you know?"
“Huh?” Harry looked at Jimmy in surprise and said, “You never said that.”
Jimmy was fixing his hair in front of the mirror when he casually replied, "It's been like that for a long time."
Ron said in a tone as if he'd seen a ghost, "You actually chose Hermione? Merlin, how can you stand her?"
"Hey! Show some respect, she's the best girl!"
"OK!"
Jimmy was in a good mood and didn't bother arguing with Ron.
After a moment of silence, Ron couldn't help but ask curiously, "To be honest, I don't see what's so great about Hermione."
"You do not understand."
Jimmy could love her without reservation without fear of betrayal; loyalty, coupled with all her fine qualities, made her the perfect woman in his heart.
At noon, neither the boys nor the girls left the dormitory. The girls would deliberately eat very little food in order to wear more form-fitting long dresses.
The boys were all looking forward to the meeting that evening, and only ate a little something.
Around seven o'clock, more and more people went downstairs to the Gryffindor common room.
They chatted casually in various places, eagerly awaiting the start of the ball.
The younger students passing by all looked on with envy; they also wanted to participate in such a fun activity and wanted to be invited to join.
Jimmy, Harry, and a few others occupied a sofa, chatting quietly about the outfits of the girls who had already come downstairs nearby.
The number of men and women invited from the same college was actually not large. When Dean Thomas, the little black boy, strode over, Ronten immediately stood up.
Because Ginny, dressed in a formal gown, was right next to him, just looking at her was infuriating.
Ron has never really liked Dean Thomas because he always compares Quidditch to Muggle soccer, asking what's the point of a bunch of people kicking a ball that can't fly on the ground.
No, that's not the point. The point is that he actually dared to lay a hand on his own sister!
"What's wrong, Ron? Is there a problem?" Ginny glared at him, having already seen through Ron's thoughts.
Ron glanced at the two of them with a mixture of anger and frustration, then sat back down irritably. "Whatever!"
"Don't do this, Ron, this is our business."
Parvati used to be the prettiest girl in Gryffindor, but now Ginny is the prettiest girl in Gryffindor. It would be an honor to have her as my companion.
Dean Thomas smiled smugly, "We'll head down now, see you later."
Harry and Neville placed their hands on Ron's shoulders, who had a gloomy expression, and repeatedly urged him to learn to let go.
The whole family dotes on Ginny, but unfortunately, Ginny is no longer cute once she enters her rebellious phase.
At this moment, Parvati, who had changed into a pearl-white dress, came down with her friend Lavender, the two of them accompanied by a string of silvery laughter.
"Go on, I'll wait here a bit longer." Parvati gave Lavender a push from behind, her smile looking rather unwise.
Lavender looked meticulously groomed today. Under contractual pressure, she had undergone some physical changes, such as going to the gym, removing skin blemishes, and achieving a more balanced physique.
Lavender, who is slightly plump, wore a white, form-fitting gown with a striking cinched waist.
This dress is from the elegant wizard clothing store. The tight parts can automatically adjust the size according to the muscles, so as not to affect the movement while highlighting the full body to the greatest extent.
Jimmy could tell at a glance that Ron's children wouldn't go hungry.
Even Ron, who was used to Lavender, couldn't help but drool when he saw her. Lavender had never dressed so...sexily before.
Lavender, however, had never known what shame was. Her shyness lasted less than two seconds before she let out a scream and lunged at Ron.
"Eek! My Lolo looks so handsome today too!"
Then came the gurgling sound of water, as Lavender, like a vacuum cleaner reincarnated, was extracting Ron's soul.
Harry and Neville had already laughed; now they were just numb and a little bit ashamed.
Pop!
"Oh, guys, I'm going downstairs too."
Ron's face, flushed as if he were drunk, grinned foolishly. He reached out and touched Lavender's bare shoulder, and they stumbled outside like conjoined twins.
Pavati, who had been hiding silently to the side, gave Jimmy an OK sign. Jimmy then secretly pulled out a Blaine Potion membership card from his pocket and slipped it to her.
Dizziness is normal. Blaine Potions has developed a brand new magical product, Enchanting Lipstick, which contains Veela ingredients to make kissing more passionate.
Ron was the first test subject.
He was extremely worried about Ron's happiness.
"Hermione's coming down soon." Parvati, who had just received the membership card, was extremely satisfied and also shared some good news with him.
As soon as he finished speaking, Jimmy saw the black hem of the skirt. It was the skirt he and Hermione had bought together, and he recognized it at a glance.
The dress was lifted up, and a pair of black high-heeled sandals with a starry sky pattern emerged, cautiously testing the steps.
Jimmy's eyes instantly seemed to be pulled downwards by hooks. Hermione's toenails were painted black, matching her dress perfectly.
Ta-da!
As the owner of those feet landed, the hem of the skirt no longer needed to be lifted, and the feet disappeared into the layers of black tulle.
Jimmy looked up with a hint of regret, only to be met by a pair of beautiful, reproachful eyes.
Hermione looked beautiful today. Her long, smooth, shiny brown hair was styled into a bun at the back of her head, with a jade hairpin he had once given her inserted in it. The pendant hanging down, along with the diamond earrings on either side of her earlobes and the smile in her eyes, swayed together.
Jimmy had to retract his previous thoughts; this black dress didn't seem to suit Hermione very well either. Now she looked like a teenage girl deliberately imitating an adult.
Despite her deliberate attempt to maintain an elegant look that matched her outfit, the corners of her mouth, pursed together, betrayed a mischievous, girlish smile that disrupted the overall harmony.
Jimmy felt an urge to tear that dress to shreds and teach this girl who had stolen his clothes a lesson!
"Ahem!" Hermione coughed lightly.
"I have to go be with my queen now, goodbye~!"
Jimmy snapped out of his daze, immediately forgetting all ties with the woman, and abandoned the stunned Harry, Neville, and Seamus.
They stared at Hermione as if they had seen a ghost. She was still the same person, but they just couldn't believe that the changes were so drastic!
Is this Hermione the same Hermione?
Chapter 309 Christmas Ball
"You look so beautiful today!" Jimmy rushed up to Hermione and couldn't wait to shower her with compliments, his eyes filled with such tenderness that they could drown her out.
Hermione lowered her gaze for a moment, then smiled and looked back at her, "You're handsome too."
That voice truly touched Jimmy's heart, making him feel as light as if he were floating on a cloud. He really wanted to kiss Hermione properly, but he was too embarrassed to do it in public.
"It's time to go downstairs, my Queen."
After gazing at each other for a long time, Jimmy reluctantly looked away and took Hermione's arm as they walked out of the common room.
Harry, Neville, and Seamus, who remained in the lounge, got up and awkwardly left to fetch their dance partners after most of the others had left.
The Great Hall downstairs was bustling with activity as many students boarded the train to go home, but Hogwarts itself was far from deserted; on the contrary, it was quite lively.
