Chapter 13

: I fell in love at first sight, and I don't mind your flaws.

Zhou Yan didn't dare to delay, so he carried Fan Binbin and ran all the way to the nearest hospital.

"Thank you," Fan Binbin said, looking at Zhou Yan who was panting heavily, feeling very grateful.

The two were complete strangers, yet the other helped them so much; it would be impossible not to be grateful.

"You're welcome," Zhou Yan said, not taking the matter to heart. "Just bear with it a little longer, it's just ahead."

"Hmm," Fan Binbin hummed softly, clenching her teeth and persevering.

Fortunately, the hospital was very close, so the trip didn't take long.

After examination, the doctor gave a diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis caused by food poisoning, requiring intravenous fluid therapy overnight.

Zhou Yan looked around at the surroundings. The bed was very simple, and it was dirty, having been slept on by countless people. The surface was covered in grime.

Fan Binbin looked disgusted and chose to sit on a stool to receive an IV drip.

She would never sit on such a bed!

Zhou Yan did not leave, but stayed by Fan Binbin's side.

"Can I ask you for a favor?" Fan Binbin looked at Zhou Yan in front of her, biting her lower lip, her face full of struggle.

"You say it," Zhou Yan said, her heart pounding as she looked at Fan Binbin.

nice.

It's truly beautiful.

It's not that Zhou Yan is useless, but that Fan Binbin looks stunningly beautiful in this pose.

That sense of heartbreak, that pitiful appearance—I believe no one could bear it.

Zhou Yan had an urge to hug him.

"I left in a hurry and didn't bring any money with me. Could you go back and get it for me? My wallet is on the table, it's easy to find," Fan Binbin said, looking at Zhou Yan with anticipation. She had nothing else but the clothes she was wearing.

"Okay," Zhou Yan thought it was something serious, but it's just this?

Is it really necessary to be so conflicted?

"That just so happens I need to go back too!"

Zhou Yan didn't actually bring any money with him, otherwise he would have helped pay for it.

"Thank you," Fan Binbin said with a sweet smile.

"Wait for me to come back," Zhou Yan replied with a smile.

Fan Binbin felt a sudden tightness in his chest as he looked at Zhou Yan's sunny smile.

It felt as if a pair of hands were gripping her heart and then suddenly pulling hard.

Fan Binbin felt her breath catch in her throat for a moment.

My mind went completely blank.

Fan Binbin looked at Zhou Yan in front of her: his handsome face, bright and flawless eyes, impeccable features, and a sunny and warm smile...

When you are distracted, dopamine is released uncontrollably in your body.

This scene was like a brand, deeply imprinted in her mind, in her heart, and deep within her body.

Zhou Yan, unaware of Fan Binbin's unusual behavior, turned and left.

Watching Zhou Yan's departing figure, Fan Binbin felt a pang of reluctance.

"What did that feel like?" Fan Binbin asked, looking down and savoring the moment. She felt completely tingled up.

"Was this love at first sight?"

Fan Binbin felt very complicated; she had never felt this way before.

……

As Zhou Yan left the hospital, a cool breeze swept in from all directions, calming his restless heart.

As Zhou Yan walked towards her residence, she recalled Fan Binbin's impeccably handsome face.

The more I thought about it, the more excited I became, and my heart was gradually filled with possessiveness.

"Now that I've met such a beautiful woman, how could I let her go?"

Zhou Yan vowed in his heart that he must get this woman.

……

Zhou Yan returned to his residence and pushed Fan Binbin's door, but it didn't budge.

"Oh no, it's shut off," Zhou Yan's expression changed.

"I wonder if Binbin took the key, probably not!" Zhou Yan thought of Fan Binbin's clothes, which didn't have a single pocket on them, so how could they possibly have a key?

Zhou Yan returned home helplessly and began packing his things.

Wallet, phone, two coats, Zhou Yan washed a large water glass and poured in a cup of hot water.

On the way to the hospital, Zhou Yan suddenly realized something.

"Binbin's room is locked, and she doesn't have a key. Where will she stay tonight?"

Borrow money from yourself to go to a nearby hotel?

Sleeping on the street?

Or perhaps I should just spend the night at my own place?

"I wonder if I can persuade her to come to my place," Zhou Yan thought to himself.

"If they really come, it means they trust me more than just a little."

Zhou Yan couldn't help but fantasize: how happy he would be if Fan Binbin became his girlfriend.

"Forget it, let's take it one step at a time. Haste makes waste," Zhou Yan told himself, reminding himself to be steady and not to rush things.

The more you rush, the more likely you are to mess things up.

Unless... it gets out of control!

When Zhou Yan returned to the hospital, Fan Binbin was already on an IV drip and was sitting there listlessly, looking around bored.

When Fan Binbin saw Zhou Yan walk in, a smile immediately bloomed on his face.

"You've come," Fan Binbin thought with indescribable joy, her lonely world suddenly brightened.

"Yeah, it got pretty cold tonight. I got you one of my coats," Zhou Yan said, handing his jacket to Fan Binbin.

"This is hot water for you. Drink some while it's still warm to warm your stomach."

"Thank you," Fan Binbin said, surprised that Zhou Yan was so thoughtful, not only preparing clothes for her but also pouring hot water.

"The doctor said you should drink more hot water," Zhou Yan said, unscrewing the cup and handing it to the other person.

Fan Binbin didn't stand on ceremony; she genuinely felt a chill.

"Is this your cup?"

"Don't misunderstand, I washed this cup," Zhou Yan thought Fan Binbin was disgusted.

"I don't mind you," Fan Binbin said, relieved to hear that it was Zhou Yan's cup, and gulped down a third of it.

Zhou Yan took the cup from the other person and put the lid on.

"Could you help me put this on? I can't get it on," Fan Binbin said, holding the clothes but unable to get them on.

"Wait a moment," Zhou Yan put down the cup and hurriedly came to Fan Binbin's side.

With an IV in her right hand, Fan Binbin's movements were restricted, and her left hand was also very inconvenient. She tried several times but failed each time.

Zhou Yan took the coat from Fan Binbin's hand, walked up to him, and draped the coat over his back.

The two were extremely close, and Fan Binbin could even smell Zhou Yan's scent, a faint fragrance that she had never smelled before—it smelled wonderful, yet it was also deadly.

It pierced her heart like poison.

This is the smell of hormones, which can only be detected on certain individuals.

Coincidentally, Zhou Yan was in the same situation. Because they were so close, Fan Binbin's fragrance kept lingering around their noses, a scent that was irresistibly captivating.

Fan Binbin snapped out of her daze, opened her mouth as if to express her gratitude, but found herself unable to utter a single word.

Just then, Zhou Yan turned his head and looked over.

Fan Binbin panicked and quickly turned his head away, his eyes darting around, unable to meet Zhou Yan's gaze.

Fan Binbin is still young, which is the age when he is most likely to trust people.
