Chapter 633
Great Battle, Chapter 300 Combined!
He was startled, not expecting Guanyin's defense to be so astonishing. He dared not be careless and with a flick of his wrist, he changed the iron rod from a chopping motion to a sweeping motion, sweeping across Guanyin's waist and abdomen with immense force.
Guanyin lightly touched the ground with her toes, and her body floated back several feet like a feather, just avoiding the attack of the iron rod.
At the same time, she pushed her hands, which were in a hand seal, forward sharply, and two gentle palm winds surged from her palms, flowing towards the Six-Eared Macaque like water.
The palm strike appeared slow, but it contained endless variations, blocking all of the Six-Eared Macaque's evasive routes.
The Six-Eared Macaque's eyes narrowed, and the iron rod spun rapidly in front of him, forming an impenetrable defensive barrier that blocked all the palm strikes.
"Clang clang clang..."
The palm strikes collided with the iron rod, producing a series of crisp sounds, like the clash of metal.
The two figures darted across the open ground, sometimes engaging in close combat, sometimes distancing themselves to exchange spells, and for a time they were locked in a fierce and evenly matched battle.
Guanyin's "Great Compassion Palm"
Seemingly gentle, each move contained the power of Buddhist compassion and righteousness, and each strike carried the power to purify evil spirits; while the Six-Eared Macaque's iron rod technique was fierce and domineering, each move ruthless and aimed directly at vital points. Relying on his innate talent of having six ears to hear the voices of all things and to predict the opponent's moves, he actually fought Guanyin to a standstill.
Sha Wujing stood on a hillside not far away, his hands gripping the Demon-Subduing Staff tightly, his face filled with disbelief.
He had followed Tang Sanzang on his journey to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures for many years and had long heard of the illustrious name of Guanyin Bodhisattva. He knew that she was a peak-level Golden Immortal with great supernatural powers and a compassionate heart.
But what he saw with his own eyes today was that the Six-Eared Macaque could fight Guanyin Bodhisattva to such an extent, which was beyond his expectations.
"This Six-Eared Macaque is so powerful. No wonder he dared to impersonate the eldest brother and fight him to a standstill during the battle between the true and false Monkey Kings."
Sha Wujing thought to himself, his eyes fixed on the battle, afraid of missing any detail.
"Hmph, Guanyin Bodhisattva, you're nothing special."
While fighting with Guanyin, the Six-Eared Macaque mocked, "Everyone says you are compassionate and have boundless supernatural powers, but in my opinion, it's all just empty fame."
"After all that time and effort, they couldn't even harm a single hair on my head. What kind of salvation are they talking about?"
His words were full of disdain, and his eyes were even more sinister.
Upon hearing this, Guanyin frowned slightly, a hint of displeasure flashing in her eyes.
She had cultivated for countless years; when had she ever been mocked like this? But she was, after all, a compassionate Bodhisattva, and she was not angered by it; instead, the Buddha-light around her became even more intense.
"You wicked beast, you are stubbornly unrepentant."
Guanyin's voice remained gentle, yet carried an undeniable air of authority: "You were born with extraordinary talent and could have cultivated yourself to the righteous path, so why did you choose to take the crooked path and associate with demons?"
"Righteous path? Evil spirit?"
The Six-Eared Macaque burst into laughter, his voice filled with endless mockery and sorrow. "In my view, the victor is king, the loser is a bandit. What distinction is there between righteousness and evil? I, the Six-Eared Macaque, only believe in strength!"
As he spoke, he suddenly unleashed an even stronger aura, the ferocity on the iron rod intensified, and his attack became even more ferocious.
Guanyin knew that this Six-Eared Macaque was exceptionally gifted and had also cultivated unorthodox techniques, so his strength was indeed not to be underestimated.
If this struggle continues, it will be difficult to subdue him, and he will only continue to wreak havoc on the world.
Without hesitation, she silently recited the mantra, gently raised her left hand, and a golden light flew out from her sleeve, rapidly expanding in the air to transform into a huge disc.
This disc is over ten feet in diameter and is made entirely of golden merit power. It is covered with dense Buddhist runes, which exude a holy and majestic aura as they flow.
It is Guanyin Bodhisattva's sacred treasure—the Merit Disc.
This disc is the result of her accumulated merits over countless years, containing boundless power. It can not only purify evil spirits but also greatly enhance one's own strength.
"what is that?"
The Six-Eared Macaque looked at the merit disc in the air, a hint of doubt flashing in his eyes. Then he felt a powerful pressure coming towards him, which made his heart tighten.
Sha Wujing's eyes widened as well. He could feel the terrifying power contained in the disc, and he couldn't help but feel a chill for the Six-Eared Macaque.
With a gentle wave of her right hand, Guanyin caused the Merit Disc to burst forth with boundless golden light, and a massive amount of merit power surged into Guanyin's body like a tidal wave.
The Buddhist light surrounding her instantly surged several times over, her originally gentle aura became incomparably majestic, the red dot between her brows flashed with dazzling light, and her entire aura suddenly increased, far surpassing what it had been before.
"not good!"
The Six-Eared Macaque inwardly cried out and instinctively tried to back away.
But it was too late. Guanyin flashed and appeared in front of him in an instant. Her right hand, filled with boundless merit, struck out at his chest.
This palm strike, though seemingly slow, contained earth-shattering power; wherever the palm wind passed, even the space itself showed subtle cracks.
The Six-Eared Macaque dared not be negligent. He hurriedly held the iron rod horizontally in front of his chest and exerted all his magical power to try to block the attack.
With a loud "bang," the palm strike landed heavily on the iron rod. The Six-Eared Macaque felt an overwhelming force pressing down on him, like Mount Tai crushing him.
His magical power instantly became chaotic, a sweet taste rose in his throat, and he spat out a mouthful of blood. He flew backward like a kite with a broken string, and the iron rod in his hand was also knocked away, landing on the ground with a dull thud.
The six-eared macaque crashed heavily to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
He struggled to get up, but found that his whole body ached and he was weak, and his magical energy was not flowing smoothly.
He looked up at Guanyin in disbelief, his eyes filled with incomprehension and resentment.
"Impossible... We are both at the peak of the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm, so why has your strength suddenly become so great?"
He roared, his voice trembling slightly.
He couldn't understand it at all. They were evenly matched just now, so why did Guanyin's strength increase so much just by summoning a disc?
Guanyin looked down at him with a hint of pity in her eyes: "You wicked creature, you only know that you are at the same level, but you do not know the wonderful use of the power of merit."
My Merit Disc is formed from the accumulation of countless good deeds, containing the righteous energy of heaven and earth, which can enhance one's own strength and purify all evil spirits.
"You cultivate heretical techniques, causing demonic energy to grow within you. This is inherently contrary to the righteous path, so naturally you cannot withstand the impact of the power of merit."
"Demonic energy?"
The Six-Eared Macaque paused for a moment, then burst into laughter, a hint of madness in his smile. "Since you've seen through me, I don't need to pretend anymore!"
Before he finished speaking, his aura suddenly changed. The original monkey demon aura vanished, replaced by an extremely dense demonic energy. Black demonic energy surged continuously from his body, enveloping his entire being, making his eyes even more sinister and terrifying, and a wicked smile curled at the corner of his mouth.
At the same time, the ground beneath his feet trembled slightly, and a black lotus platform slowly rose up. The lotus platform had nine petals, each engraved with hideous demonic patterns, exuding a strong aura of blood and evil.
This is the Black Lotus Platform, the natal lotus platform of the demon race, which can only be formed by demons who have cultivated to an extremely high level.
"I am not some Six-Eared Macaque,"
He looked at Guanyin, his tone icy, "I am the Black Lotus Protector under the command of the Buddha Wutian! I have come to disrupt the Journey to the West and overturn the orthodoxy of Buddhism on the orders of the Buddha Wutian!"
The moment the words "Buddha Wutian" were uttered, the temperature in the air seemed to drop several degrees, and a terrifying pressure enveloped the entire Flower Fruit Mountain, causing even Sha Wujing in the distance to shiver.
Upon hearing this, Guanyin's expression turned solemn.
Wutian Buddha is a demonic Buddha who opposes the orthodox Buddhism. His strength is unfathomable. He once wreaked havoc in the Three Realms, bringing great disaster to them.
Unexpectedly, he made a comeback and even sent out such powerful subordinates.
"That treacherous villain, Wutian, has attempted to overthrow the order of the Three Realms and harm all living beings; he deserves to die a thousand deaths!"
Guanyin's voice carried a hint of anger, and the Buddhist light around her surged once more, forming a stark contrast with the demonic energy on the Six-Eared Macaque. They collided and emitted a "sizzling" sound.
"Today, I will act on behalf of Heaven and cast you into the cycle of reincarnation, so that you may never be reborn!"
As Guanyin spoke, she quickly formed hand seals and silently recited mantras.
As she chanted her mantra, the Buddhist light behind her suddenly condensed, transforming into a gigantic image of the Thousand-Armed Guanyin.
This statue is tens of feet tall, its entire body composed of golden Buddhist light, and its face is exactly the same as Guanyin herself, exuding both compassion and majesty.
The thousand arms of the Dharma image are all different. Some hold a vase, some hold a willow branch, some hold a golden wheel, and some hold prayer beads. Each arm contains different supernatural powers and exudes a powerful aura.
When the image of the Thousand-Hand Guanyin appeared, the entire Flower and Fruit Mountain trembled, the grass and trees bowed their heads, and the rocks shook.
The Six-Eared Macaque looked at the enormous Dharma image before him, a flicker of fear in his eyes, but it was quickly replaced by madness.
"You want to cast me into the cycle of reincarnation? Not so easy!"
He roared, unleashing the full power of his demonic energy. The demonic patterns on the black lotus platform shone brightly, and countless black demonic flames ignited from the platform, transforming into ferocious demonic shadows that lunged at the Thousand-Hand Guanyin image.
A flash of golden light appeared in the eyes of the Thousand-Armed Guanyin, and all one thousand arms moved at the same time.
Some arms unleashed holy Buddhist light, purifying the approaching demonic shadows; some arms struck out palm prints imbued with the power of merit, suppressing the Six-Eared Macaque; and some arms summoned various magical treasures, emitting dazzling light and blocking all of the Six-Eared Macaque's escape routes.
The Six-Eared Macaque fought back fiercely, conjuring an iron rod in his hand once more, and engaged in a fierce battle with the arm of the Thousand-Hand Guanyin.
However, his strength was far inferior to that of Guanyin who manifested the Thousand-Armed Guanyin.
Before long, he was forced to retreat, and the demonic energy on his body was continuously purified by the Buddha's light, causing the light of the black lotus platform to dim.
"You beast, surrender now!"
The voice of Guanyin emanated from the Dharma image, majestic yet compassionate.
As she spoke, the Thousand-Hand Guanyin held a willow branch in one hand and flicked it gently. A few drops of crystal-clear nectar dripped from the willow branch, turning into white silk threads that wrapped around the Six-Eared Macaque.
These silk threads, though seemingly soft, contain powerful binding and purifying forces; they are none other than Guanyin's signature divine power—the Willow Leaf Demon-Binding Rope.
The six-eared macaque tried to dodge, but found that its body was firmly locked in place by the Buddha's light and it could not move at all.
In the blink of an eye, white silk threads wrapped around his entire body, binding him tightly.
The purifying power emanating from the silk threads continuously eroded the demonic energy within his body, causing him unbearable pain and prompting him to let out mournful roars.
"Let me go! I am a protector under the Buddha Wutian, and your Buddhist sect cannot do anything to me!"
He struggled frantically, trying to break free from the silk threads, but the threads tightened more and more, imprisoning his magic power as well.
Just then, a figure darted out from the dense forest of Flower Fruit Mountain. It was none other than Sun Wukong, wearing a golden headband and golden chainmail.
Upon closer inspection, however, the golden headband on his head was not the tight headband bestowed by the Buddha, but rather a transformation of a few monkey hairs, faintly revealing a sense of illusion.
Holding the Ruyi Jingu Bang (Golden Cudgel), Sun Wukong flashed and landed between Guanyin and the Six-Eared Macaque.
"Bodhisattva Guanyin, please have mercy!"
Sun Wukong cupped his hands in a respectful gesture toward Guanyin and said, “This Six-Eared Macaque impersonated me, causing my master to misunderstand me. He even fought me for hundreds of rounds. I, Sun Wukong, will settle this score with him personally! Please allow me, Bodhisattva, to finish him off with my own hands to vent my hatred!”
Guanyin looked at Sun Wukong, a thoughtful look flashing in her eyes.
She knew about the feud between Sun Wukong and the Six-Eared Macaque, and she also understood Sun Wukong's personality.
After a moment's thought, she nodded and said, "Very well, this wicked beast has committed numerous evils and impersonated you. It is indeed your responsibility to deal with it personally."
However, you must remember not to commit any more killings. After you have finished him off, let him enter the cycle of reincarnation and be reborn.
"Thank you, Bodhisattva!"
Sun Wukong was overjoyed and quickly said.
He turned around and looked at the Six-Eared Macaque bound by the Willow Leaf Demon-Binding Rope, a barely perceptible glint of greed and ruthlessness flashing in his eyes.
The Six-Eared Macaque glared at Sun Wukong, his eyes filled with venom: "Sun Wukong, you despicable villain! If you have the guts, release me from my restraints, and we'll fight another three hundred rounds!"
Sun Wukong grinned, revealing a hint of mockery: "You? You dare to compare yourself to me? Back then, you impersonated me and caused me a lot of suffering. Today, I will make you pay the price!"
As he spoke, he raised the Ruyi Jingu Bang in his hand, channeling all his magical power. The Ruyi Jingu Bang instantly grew several times larger, and with a whistling wind, it slammed down hard on the head of the Six-Eared Macaque.
When Guanyin saw Sun Wukong make a move, she subconsciously withdrew some of her Buddhist light and the Thousand-Armed Guanyin Dharma Image, wanting to give Sun Wukong enough space.
In that instant, a cold glint flashed in Sun Wukong's eyes, and his golden cudgel slammed down with a loud "bang," striking the Six-Eared Macaque's head heavily.
The six-eared macaque's head was instantly smashed to pieces, blood and brain matter splattered everywhere, and its body slumped down, lifeless.
However, the moment the golden cudgel fell, Sun Wukong quietly condensed a wisp of black energy at his fingertips, and taking advantage of everyone's unpreparedness, it silently entered the body of the Six-Eared Macaque.
This was precisely one of the unorthodox supernatural powers that Sun Wukong practiced—the Soul-Locking Technique. (End of Chapter)
