An opportunity may only come once in a lifetime, making it incredibly precious.

The game between the University of Washington and Louisiana Tech was the final game on March 16th.

Before the game against Louisiana Tech, Yes and his team already knew who their next opponent would be.

The University of Kentucky, a powerhouse team in the NCAA and a Final Eight team last year!

After Chuck Hayes and Azubuke left, Kentucky failed to add enough strong new blood, and their strength has declined significantly this year.

On March 17, 2006, apart from regular training, everyone at the University of Washington stayed in the hotel and watched NCAA live on ESPN and CBS all day.

Not only UCLA, but all four P-10 teams that made it into the NCAA performed well overall after the first round.

The University of Washington and UCLA advanced by a large margin.

The University of California, Berkeley and the University of Arizona both defeated higher-seeded teams while being lower-seeded.

"Maybe all the teams in the P-10 league this year are strong, but we're just too good?!"

There were very few upsets in the 32 games of the first round of the NCAA tournament. The two biggest upsets were the University of Arizona defeating the University of Wisconsin in the P-10 conference and the University of California, Berkeley defeating Michigan State University.
