Chapter 337

Then don't blame Wayne for deleting the save file and restarting.
And coincidentally, right before Vayne at that moment stood a colossal beast intent on harming him—Zu Mis, the god of the two-horned beasts, who had finally revealed his true form within the Empire of Consciousness. A majestic, powerful two-horned warhorse was galloping towards Vayne. Its horns were wreathed in ghostly flames, imbued with immense spiritual power, seemingly intent on lifting Vayne up and incinerating him.
But the unicorn, blinded by rage, failed to notice that despite being dragged into the weakest mortal consciousness empire, with no royal army or war fortresses for protection, no fierce artillery fire or gun attacks, and no powerful artifacts to rely on, Wayne showed no sign of panic.
The Lion King, who had been feigning sleep, leisurely opened his eyes, his diamond-shaped golden pupils reflecting the hazy, vast starry sky. Yes, within the Empire of Consciousness, Wayne had indeed lost all external support and could only fight against the gods alone.
But the gods, who thought they had won, did not expect that Vayne's power was not based on his outer shell. Stripped of his outward disguise, his true trump card was his high-dimensional nature.
"Prepare to die, mortal!"
The two-horned beast raised its head and charged headlong at Wayne. To his surprise, the lion king, who he expected should have fled in panic, did not dodge or evade. Instead, it lazily tossed its head, letting its fluffy mane flutter freely in the wind. Then, it raised its forelegs and casually slapped them downwards.
As if summoned by fate, the unicorn's head came right into Wayne's hand as he swung his front paw, and Wayne pressed it down effortlessly into the dust.
His limbs, which had been accelerating steadily, suddenly slipped due to this attack that wasn't even a proper strike, making a startling thud on the ground. He then fell into convulsions and was unable to stand up again.
A super account is a super account. The demon was able to shatter Wayne's Lion King form because it was essentially a cheat-like player. Since a super account couldn't defeat a cheat-like player, Wayne had to use his true form's power to destroy and rebuild the entire Consciousness Empire, thus completely formatting the demon. But gods are different. Even the most powerful god is still just a whale (someone who spends a lot of money), and still needs to abide by the rules of the Consciousness Empire. They don't even have the right to force Wayne to break the rules and reveal the true power of the Fourth Calamity.
It wasn't until his head was pressed into the yellow earth, until all four of his limbs were broken, and excruciating pain shot through his body, that Zu Mis truly regained consciousness.
What exactly is it that allows Wayne to control the clones inhabited by his fragments and to use spells powerful enough to dismember his physical body in the material world?
He should have figured this out long ago; the only thing that truly matters is mental power—Wayne is a monster. If in the material world, a god might have a 30% chance of killing Wayne through a sneak attack, then in the Consciousness Empire, that possibility is completely zero.
This is impossible, there's no need to try, because it was impossible from the start.
"What kind of...monster are you?"
The lion's paws remained motionless. Z. Mis could only force himself to swallow the sand in his mouth as he struggled to speak. Within the Empire of Consciousness, they had no special privileges. Aside from the innate, powerful spiritual energy of a god and the spiritual bodies constructed from that energy, they were no different. He too could suffocate, he too could die. And His spiritual energy, which He, as a god, was so proud of, had been crushed by Wayne, ground into dust in an unbelievable way.
With just one hand, without even uttering a word, the Mandate of Heaven and imperial power are omnipresent throughout this empire's territory, and He is merely a puppet in a puppet show, performing actions for the amusement of the puppeteer according to the puppeteer's thoughts.
"What kind of monster am I?" Wayne didn't speak, but his thoughts had already broken through Zú Mis's mental defenses, resounding directly in His mind. The Lion King's voice was firm and confident, answering without allowing any dissent, "I am human."
He is indeed human. He was in his past life, and he is in this life. Who says that just because he's in a lower dimension, he can't be considered human?
To ensure that what he said was reasonable and righteous, Wayne didn't even reveal his Aslan identity, but firmly stated his true nature—I am a human.
But the god clearly didn't grasp this meaning. He scoffed, refusing to accept the truth Wayne had revealed, offering an evasive explanation as if trying to erase his own failure.
"Nonsense, humans? Are you making fun of me? If humans had your mental strength, there would be no place you couldn't go—the ocean, the sky, the depths of the tundra where demons dwell, or the ends of the desert."
“You’re right. Where can’t we go?” Wayne said slowly, ignoring the tone of one of the gods. “In fact, we are doing just that. God, I’m actually quite curious, do you really understand Terra?”
"Do you know what's in the sky? Do you know why the false stars twinkle? Do you know why there are two moons in the sky? Do you know about the ocean and the fleets that conquer the sea? Do you know that Terra, where we live, is not a flat continent, but a giant sphere?"
Wayne's words plunged Joel Mease into a long silence. Wayne saw bewilderment, disdain, and rage on his face.
It seems that He knows nothing either.
Wayne curled his lip in boredom: "These are the things you don't know, which are precisely what humanity is exploring. In the far north there are Rhine Life's research stations, in the depths of the desert there is the Nightmare Army that once launched an attack, the Great Yan has been fighting against the demons in the north for a long time and has built the Great Wall to protect civilization, and Ursus has been waging war for years, but has left its most elite troops, enough to destroy a country, in Sunset Canyon to guard that border between civilization and barbarism, no matter how many casualties it suffers."
"You are indeed a god. On my way to the North, I thoroughly examined the files Winster left me. You should remember this name. He was denounced as a traitor by you and banished from his people, simply because he refused to serve the incompetent last Drak king and assassinate those who wanted to rise up in rebellion. And history has proven everything in the end—"
"King Drak was still defeated. Even with the support of the gods, he was still overthrown by the rebels and us. This is the power of us humans that you have overlooked."
"You are on par with the evil god of the ancient Central Valley. It is human power that has become the crucial factor in breaking the balance. You and King Drak are in cahoots. It is human power that has become the backbone of the overthrow of tyranny. Now, you stand against Victoria."
"And this time, the power of humanity that you despise will, just like now, raise its hand and press the proud head of the god to the ground, into the earth."
Wayne paused, then said meaningfully:
"Times have changed, God."
Collapse.
The thought flashed through his mind in an instant, and the Consciousness Empire began to collapse around the lion's body. The earth cracked and plunged into an endless abyss. The sky shattered and vanished like a mirage. The ancient Consciousness Empire, which had existed since the beginning of the earth, was now facing annihilation.
Perhaps intentionally, Wayne deliberately had Z. Miss raise his head at the end. He was allowed to witness firsthand this apocalyptic landscape created by humankind, before suddenly losing his footing and plunging into the bottomless abyss.
“Phew—Mission Accomplished!” Wayne let out a long breath, gazing at the world beginning to reconstruct before him, and shrugged.
"Alright, now we just have to wait for Theresa to come back and take me out of here."
Chapter 135 Rebuilding the Future, The Ark Sets Sail (The End)
February 28th, Terran Calendar 1093. Sunny, no wind, air quality: Good. One month has passed since the divine invasion.
Victoria, Londinium, Iron Palace.
February is still winter, and although Victoria's basin topography prevents the temperature from getting too cold, venturing out without a down jacket or coat will still leave you shivering. To address this, the royal family has just distributed heating subsidies to ensure that even the poor can access affordable heating from the state-owned heating company. Even so, the streets of Lontinium, which have just ended some mobilization and state of emergency, are still bustling with pedestrians taking walks.
Wayne got up early from his warm bed, startling Theresa, who was preparing breakfast, and Vina, the 007 employee who was going to her early shift.
"Did I wake you when I got up?" Theresa asked. "Or were you too excited to sleep?"
"There's no other way, after all, Rhodes Island is finally coming."
Limited by the long distance spanning half the land between Rembitop and Victoria, even though Theresa, with the help of the unicorn, soon unearthed the skeleton of Rhodes Island, it still took almost a month to transport it back intact.
Today is the scheduled date for Rhodes Island to arrive in Victoria. If all goes well, at 8:00 AM this morning, after setting off from Rembiton, bypassing Letania, passing the ruins of Kazdel, and traversing the vast wasteland, Rhodes Island will arrive at the outer city's transit area of Victoria.
From a practical standpoint, Rhodes Island is merely the skeleton of an ancient land-based warship. Whether it can even be repaired and put back into service is still a question. Even if it could, Victoria could easily replicate thousands upon thousands of such warships. As one of the de facto leaders of the nation, Wayne has no need to be so excited. However, in the hearts of every Arkman, Rhodes Island represents a kind of home.
The Tower of Babel is incomplete without Rhodes Island, and Rhodes Island is also incomplete without Rhodes Island. Vayne prevented many tragedies in the main storyline, all so that one day, warriors like Talulah, Frostnova, and Patriot, whose fates were tragic, leaders like Theresa, Kal'tsit, and Amiya, full of ideals, and all those operators and characters, could gather on this island without any threats.
"I want the island, not the knife!" This has always been Wayne's guiding principle. It may be a long, seemingly endless goal, but at least a phase of the mission is about to be completed. How could he not be excited?
"Alright, alright, even if you're excited, you should eat breakfast first, okay?"
Theresa gave Wayne a slightly reproachful laugh, and Vina, seated at the head of the table, also smiled easily. Kal'tsit arrived a little later than Wayne, and as she entered the dining room, Theresa couldn't help but ask in surprise:
"Kal'tsit, why are you wearing that outfit?"
Kal'tsit lowered her head, glanced at her light green outfit—which resembled half a surgical gown—and shrugged helplessly. She then looked at Wayne and muttered:
"You'll have to ask His Highness Wayne. He insisted last night that I wear this to today's handover ceremony."
A hint of embarrassment flashed across Wayne's face. To be honest, Kal'tsit's outfit wasn't as formal as her butler's uniform, and it would look odd to wear it to an important ceremony. But Wayne was just going along with the sentiment, which was why he had gone to great lengths to persuade Kal'tsit to change into this outfit.
Explaining this to Theresa now is proving quite difficult.
Perhaps seeing Wayne's embarrassed expression, or perhaps because she only intended to give Wayne a slight reprimand for pushing his luck by forcing him to change clothes, Kal'tsit offered an explanation:
"However, His Highness Wayne has his reasons for doing this. Rhodes Island has been buried underground for so long, and even after the initial disinfection and cleaning, there is no guarantee that there won't be any other toxic substances. Wearing this outfit will make it easier to deal with emergencies."
Theresa nodded in sudden realization, looked at Wayne, and praised, "So Mr. Bruce has thought of all this?"
Wayne scratched his head in response, giving an awkward but polite smile.
Kal'tsit sat down to Vayne's left, while Theresa brought Kal'tsit a plate of fried eggs and bacon and sat down to Vayne's right.
"Speaking of which, where are Amiya and Miss Brutality?" Vina, sitting at the head of the table, suddenly asked halfway through her meal. Before she could finish speaking, Brutality yawned and, like a mother duck herding ducks, herded Amiya into the restaurant. Seeing that the restaurant was already full, Brutality paused, quickly composed herself, straightened her disheveled clothes, coughed twice, and gave a polite but awkward smile, just like Wayne's, as she greeted them:
Good morning everyone... hahaha... so early... hahaha.
"Stop laughing, sit down and eat with Amiya. We have to rush off after this!" Wayne rolled his eyes, his mood instantly improving.
Sure enough, as long as I'm not the only one feeling awkward, the awkwardness can be easily shifted.
The little brat didn't need any bullying; while Wayne was speaking, he ran over and sat down next to Vina, saying in his clear, childlike voice:
"Good morning, Sister Vina!"
"Good morning, Amiya." Vina smiled and nodded, ruffled Amiya's hair, forked a piece of salad from the plate, and held it to Amiya's lips, saying, "Amiya, ah—"
Amiya obediently opened her mouth, took a bite of the salad, then took the milk Vina handed her, gulped it down, and then looked up at Wayne and Theresa, happily saying:
"Good morning, Uncle Wayne and Aunt Theresa."
"Don't call me uncle (aunt)!"
Wayne and Theresa spoke at the same time.
Wayne pouted in dissatisfaction, feigning anger, and said, "I'm only two or three years older than Vina. You call her 'sister' and me 'uncle'?"
Theresa chimed in, "I'm a few years older than Wayne. You call Vina 'sister,' and I'll call you 'auntie.'"
Amiya said nothing, but smiled knowingly as if she had successfully pulled off a prank.
This little rascal is already up to no good at such a young age. What will he be like when he grows up? Won't he be braying like a donkey in the middle of the night?
Who's been taking her out lately? What, Warfarin? Hang her on Big Ben... oh no. We've arrived at Rhodes Island, haven't we? After the handover, hang her on the bridge and see if Warfarin, the renowned graduate of Bridge University, can experience the feeling of home across time and space.
Just as he sat down, Violence seemed to remember something and said, "Oh, right. Miss Mudrock and Miss Surtr asked me to pass on a message to you. They plan to go with Miss Chen this morning to try the dim sum that Miss Chen recommended, so they won't be coming for lunch. They will be there on time for the handover ceremony later."
"Surtr and Mudrock are rich?" Wayne asked a question that struck at the heart of the matter. Surtr had spent all his money on ice cream, and Mudrock, after becoming a clay maker, had started researching which type of clay was more suitable for sculpting figurines, spending all his salary on the cost of importing clay from abroad.
Violence shrugged and replied matter-of-factly, “Miss Swire is here too. And Miss Talulah and Miss Alina are also here.”
Swire is here, so it's alright. But with this lineup, anyone who didn't know better would think you were planning to cause trouble at someone's place. This kind of entourage... I wonder which Lentinium tea house has the honor of being treated like half a Tower of Babel and half a Dragon Gate.
"How was it? Did you eat well?"
While Wayne was still in a daze, Theresa wiped her lips, glanced at the table, and asked,
"If not, I can make some more."
"I'm done eating!" Wayne replied immediately, quickly stuffing the meager amount of vegetable salad and bacon and eggs into his mouth. "Let's go!"
Theresa looked at her and couldn't help but chuckle: "Is Rhodes Island really that attractive?"
To his surprise, these words startled Wayne. After a long pause, he pursed his lips, swallowed back his unspoken words, and gave Theresa and the others a relaxed and joyful smile.
"Rhodes Island is alright, it's not that appealing."
"What I like are the people on Rhodes Island (the Ark)."
Rebuilding the future, the Ark sets sail.
Wayne can proudly say that he did it!

Author's Closing Remarks
This book, "Miss Wang Weina, Even Your Cousin Isn't Good Enough!", is now complete. From the upload of the first chapter on March 2, 2021, to the upload of the final chapter on February 1, 2022, a total of 1589670 words, or 1.59 million words, have been written, marking its official conclusion!
I know everyone feels there's still a lot to write, including questions about Wei Yanwu's ending and the aftermath of Laterano, but I actually think ending it here is the best possible outcome.
After all, Wayne's story ends here. Given his stance and personality, it's unlikely he'd intervene in Yan's civil war, nor is it likely he'd support Wei Yanwu. As for Laterano, he didn't intend to completely eradicate it; the flourishing of religion on Terra still had its positive aspects, and it shouldn't be condemned outright.
Continuing to write their story would be superfluous. Since Wayne, as the protagonist, cannot participate in the story, it would make the entire narrative seem detached from the main plot. I encountered the same lesson with the National Day special episode 42 and Mudrock; subscriptions plummeted during those days, only to surge back after the special episodes ended.
