Chapter 33

Brothers, Ink's Illusionary Instructions

"Nii-san... Nii-san? Nii-san!"

Shisui stood beside Uchiha Mo and called out twice, then shouted again when he saw no response.

Mo snapped out of his daze, raised his clean black eyes, and looked at the little bean sprout in front of him.

"What's wrong?"

"It's already noon, we should go home for lunch!" Shisui pointed to the sun in the sky.

Mo looked up. The sun was indeed high in the sky. He slowly stood up.

"Okay, let's go."

Holding the straight sword at his waist, Mo took the lead and started his journey home, with Shisui quickly following behind.

"Nisan, what would you like to eat for lunch?"

Zhi Shui smiled and ran up to Mo, looking up and asking.

"casual."

Mo was still pondering why his fusion had failed, and didn't have much time to focus on lunch.

"It's really difficult to tell the cook 'anything'~" Shisui pouted in dissatisfaction.

"..." Mo was still thinking and did not respond.

Shisui knew that his elder brother didn't want to answer the pointless question, so he could only change the subject:

"Is Nii-san coming to training with me this afternoon? Those people who were watching me this morning haven't shown up at all."

As soon as he finished speaking, Mo glanced at Zhishui and replied:

"This afternoon you'll come with me to Hong's house. Uncle Zhen Hong isn't home. I'm going to teach Hong illusion magic to repay a favor, and you can learn it with me."

Now that Zhishui has been targeted, Mo naturally can't let him out of his sight for too long. Who knows, if he's not careful, Zhishui might return with a curse mark on his tongue...

If that's the case, he'll have no choice but to kill Danzo ahead of time.

Upon hearing this, Shisui became excited. "Can I finally learn Sharingan genjutsu?"

Mo shook his head and splashed a bucket of cold water on Zhishui's head.

"No, you can only learn regular genjutsu with her. I've said before, you're not allowed to learn Sharingan genjutsu before the age of seven, and you should also use your eyes sparingly."

"Huh—? Why?!" Shisui pouted, his shoulders slumped, and he lowered his head in disappointment.

Every Uchiha clan member was filled with anticipation for the Sharingan, and Shisui was no exception.

However, after awakening his Sharingan, he not only didn't receive any instruction on how to use it, but was also ordered to use it sparingly, despite having an older brother who was hailed as "the strongest Uchiha genius since the founding of Konoha." This disparity made him extremely uncomfortable.

Mo glanced at the dejected Zhishui, stopped in his tracks, and patted Zhishui's head with his right hand.

"You're still too young, your body is still developing, having too strong pupil power isn't a good thing."

As the saying goes, running fast doesn't guarantee a win; avoiding falls is the key. With Zhi Shui's talent, there's no need for him to expose his body to risks just to rush things.

Shisui's mood calmed down slightly, but she still puffed out her cheeks and muttered somewhat discontentedly, "But don't the clan leader and elders all think that the earlier you awaken your Sharingan, the better? And brother, aren't you only ten years old? You already have a three-tomoe Sharingan, and there's nothing wrong with your body!"

"So they are all mediocre."

"..."

Shisui looked at his older brother, whose expression was indifferent, and for a moment he didn't know what to say.

Mo looked down at the stunned Zhi Shui, then suddenly his right hand moved from Zhi Shui's head to his shoulder, and then he pulled him over his shoulder and continued walking towards home.

"Time to go home and cook..."

When Shisui came to his senses and realized what had happened, he reached out and wrapped his arms around Mo's neck. His eyes curved up and sparkled as he looked at Mo's calm and composed profile. The corners of his mouth turned up, and his youthful cheeks were flushed with a faint blush.

"Um!"

……

After lunch, Mo led Shisui through the streets of Konoha and arrived at Kurenai's house.

"Bang bang bang!"

After knocking on the door, Mo waited quietly to the side.

Rapid footsteps soon came from inside the house, growing closer and closer until they stopped at the door.

A moment later, the door creaked open.

The girl's bright, ruby-like eyes stared intently at the boy standing in the doorway.

"Mo, you're here. Have you had lunch yet?"

Uchiha Mo nodded.

"Has Sister Hong not eaten yet?" Zhishui asked from the side.

Kurenai turned her gaze away. She had been so focused on Mo that she hadn't noticed the little boy beside him.

"Huh? Shisui?"

Shisui smiled and nodded, then squinted and said, "I'm going to learn illusion magic with Nii-san today too. I hope that won't bother Kurenai-neechan?"

Upon hearing this, Kurenai unconsciously tugged at the hem of her clothes with her right hand, her eyes darting around in a flustered manner. Somewhat embarrassed, she stepped aside to let the doorway open.

"Of course not..."

The Uchiha's eyes are truly terrifying!

Mo led Shisui into the entryway and turned his gaze to the shoe cabinet. Upon seeing this, Yuhi Kurenai immediately bent down and took out two pairs of shoes from the shoe cabinet as spares for the guests.

After changing their shoes, Mo and Zhishui entered Hong's house. It is worth mentioning that Zhishui was too young, so even though the shoes were already small, they were still a little unsuitable for him. With each step he took, the slippers made a "clattering" sound.

Led by Kurenai Yuhi, the two walked through the corridor and arrived at the courtyard behind the living room.

"Mo, what kind of illusion magic do you plan to teach me?" Kurenai sat cross-legged on the grass, looking somewhat excited.

Although she did have some other intentions in calling Mo to her home, it was also true that she wanted to learn illusion magic from him. With Zhishui here, her first goal had obviously failed, so she could only reluctantly turn her attention to her second goal for the time being.

"If I become stronger, will Mo pay more attention to me?" This thought lingered in the girl's mind.

Mo glanced at Xi Ri Kurenai, then at Shi Shui, and slowly began to speak:

"First, I want to ask you a question: What is illusion magic?"

Upon hearing this, Kurenai Yuhi twirled her curly hair in confusion, her delicate face slightly furrowing as she tentatively asked, "Is it a technique that uses chakra to disrupt the opponent's five senses, causing them to fall into illusions?"

Mo didn't judge right or wrong, but looked at Zhishui and asked, "Zhishui, what do you think?"

"It's a technique to deceive the opponent in order to achieve the purpose of the battle!" Shisui straightened up, his tone filled with strong confidence.

As soon as he finished speaking, Mo Wei slightly curled the corners of his lips.

He looked at Hong and said, "Hong, you're right, but your first reaction to my question was to explain the conventional definition of illusion, while Shisui's reaction was to respond to what illusion should be like."

Her fair face was full of confusion, and she frowned slightly. "I don't understand what the difference is."

Mo shook his head. "This is the level of illusion magic usage. No matter how powerful an illusionist is, they wouldn't be foolish enough to tell the enemy that they're going to use illusion magic. The core of illusion magic isn't the technique itself, but the illusion, the deception..."

"For you, if you want to make your knife powerful, the first thing you should do is not to sharpen it, but to learn how to wield it."
