Chapter 60 Achieving Sainthood is Difficult; Please Grant Me the Method
After leaving Wuzhuang Temple, Guixuan sat on a cloud with a big smile on his face, feeling joyful.
"Only children make choices; packing everything up is true organization."
This trip to Wuzhuang Temple was very rewarding.
Not only were Zhen Yuanzi and Hongyun subdued by him, but he also obtained the Book of Earth, one of the three great books of the primordial world.
"The Book of the Authentic!"
Gui Xuan's eyes gleamed with golden light as he carefully studied the earth inscription.
The Three Books of Heaven, Earth, and Man.
The Heavenly Book of Gods and the Book of Life and Death.
Only the Book of Earth cannot be explained.
Some later generations have said that the Earth Book is the "Classic of Mountains and Seas," which records all the geography of the prehistoric land and has been passed down to later generations.
"I don't care what the earth book, formed from the membrane of the primordial earth, actually is. I only care whether this earth book can lead to a tunnel and lure out a human book!"
With this thought in mind, Gui Xuan found a place where spiritual energy gathered and began to comprehend it.
Just as he was studying the Book of Earth, the Three Lectures of Hongjun quietly arrived.
The countless sacred beings of the primordial world appeared at the entrance of Zixiao Palace in perfect unison, remaining silent.
After the two lectures by Hongjun Daozu and the battle in the East Sea, even though there were conflicts among these ancient deities, they all chose to put them aside for the time being.
The legend of the primordial land has recently resurfaced.
In this sermon, Dao Ancestor Hongjun will distribute the opportunity to become a saint. Those who obtain this opportunity will become saints!
The Three Pure Ones, Nuwa, the Heavenly Court, the Western World, the Twelve Ancestral Witches, and other deities from the primordial world, some of whom had never appeared before, all manifested in the world.
The Heavenly Court and the Witch Clan brought a large number of soldiers and generals, and made arrangements throughout the chaos and the primordial land.
Squeak~~~
Tong Zihaotian, pulling his junior sister Yaochi along, cautiously peered through the crack in the gate of Zixiao Palace.
Looking at the dense, overwhelming primordial deities outside, the two boys' bodies went limp, and they almost knelt down.
Especially Haotian, who had been mistakenly injured and brutally beaten by these primordial deities during the second lecture, suppressed his fear, swallowed hard, and said, "The Dao Ancestor's lecture begins!"
After saying that, she pulled Yaochi inside quickly.
They were afraid of being a step too slow and getting beaten up again.
"I'll trample you under my feet sooner or later!!"
As Haotian's voice disappeared, all the primordial deities entered Zixiao Palace at top speed.
dark place.
Hongjun looked at the vast and sacred primordial world, his face grim, and he gritted his teeth.
"Who on earth caused this mess?!"
The series of unexpected events disrupted most of his plans, which naturally angered him.
"Fortunately, the overall situation hasn't changed; otherwise, it would be a blood feud, a fight to the death!!"
There was a commotion outside.
Everyone wanted to be closer to the Dao Ancestor and be the first to obtain the opportunity to attain the Dao.
However, they were faced with the strength of the demon race and the unreasonable behavior of the witch race.
All the ancient gods were filled with resentment and retreated to sit in the back.
Looking at the smug Twelve Ancestral Witches in front of them, as well as the indifferent Demon Emperor and Eastern Emperor of the Demon Clan, some ancient deities revealed inexplicable expressions in their eyes.
After the dispute over seating ended, Hongjun leisurely appeared in Zixiao Palace.
"It seems this isn't such a bad thing after all; the conflict between the Lich and Demon races has deepened once again."
Looking calmly at the countless primordial gods within the Purple Cloud Palace, Hongjun said in a flat voice, "This sermon is about the Way of the Sage."
"Those who do not have a strong foundation should not listen to unreliable advice; those who do not have strong fortune should not force things."
If anything goes wrong, don't blame me.
After saying that, without caring whether the primordial gods below could understand, Hongjun began to speak.
This sermon was different from the previous two.
Rules are intertwined, legal principles are entangled, and cause and effect are pervasive.
Various Daoist texts were uttered from Hongjun's mouth.
Below, some of the ancient deities had furrowed brows, while others looked bewildered.
Even worse, some, like the Wu tribe members, didn't understand at all and simply fell asleep in their seats at Zixiao Palace.
Hongjun was very displeased with what he saw.
Only a handful of ancient saints shook their heads, their many questions answered.
This lecture lasted for 30,000 years.
When Hongjun stopped preaching, all beings awoke with a start and realized how quickly time had passed.
Unable to understand, I was overjoyed; the crucial moment had arrived.
Those who understood felt a sense of loss and longed to hear the teachings again.
After a long while, Daoist Taiqing spoke up and asked, "Master, is the only way to become a saint the one that involves severing the three corpses?"
The gods of the primordial world fought fiercely for the spiritual treasure, and the three brothers, the Three Pure Ones, were also frequently subjected to inexplicable attacks.
If this continues, even if they are quasi-saints, they will never be able to find peace again.
Left with no other choice, Master Taiqing had to take the lead in asking for clarification.
Looking at the expressions of the primordial gods below, Hongjun instantly understood the reason. He once again criticized the troublemaker behind the scenes who was disrupting the heavenly secrets, and slowly spoke.
There are three methods to achieve sainthood.
Three!?
These words struck a chord with the revered figures present, and their eyes lit up.
Hongjun glanced at them and continued.
"One is to prove the Dao through force, emulating the great god Pangu, and using absolute power to break through the limits of heaven and earth to achieve the status of a saint."
"This method is not for those without great perseverance."
The first one is already dead. You can try it yourselves; whoever tries it will die.
The Primordial God froze upon hearing this; who would dare to try it!
Pangu is dead, who dares to come again!
"The second is to sever the three corpses and attain enlightenment. I have already explained this, so I will not repeat it."
"The third method is to attain sainthood through merit, which is also the easiest yet most difficult of the three methods. Achieving sainthood through great merit is the weakest of the three methods."
So there's such a method!
It is indeed the easiest yet most difficult of the three methods, as it does not require the attainment of Heavenly Merit.
After memorizing this method, all the ancient gods and saints felt at ease.
Since there are three methods to achieve sainthood, the pressure of needing innate spiritual treasures is reduced in a roundabout way.
But at this moment, Nuwa, who had been silent all along, suddenly spoke up and asked, "Teacher, I wonder which of the three methods was used by that Dao Ancestor to achieve sainthood?"
Nuwa's question startled the deities present, who secretly thought that Nuwa was incredibly bold.
Is there some kind of discord between this person and that person?
They even dared to question that person's background right in front of this one.
This completely offended both Dao Ancestors.
Fuxi was sweating profusely with anxiety.
But then, after a long silence, Dao Ancestor Hongjun spoke up, his voice devoid of anger: "Fellow Daoist Guixuan has not yet become a saint."
boom!
It was as if the sky had fallen and the earth had split open.
Hongjun's words shocked all the saints present.
Not yet a saint?
How is that possible!
To fight a sage and not be defeated? This person isn't a sage? Are you kidding me?
Just as the group of ancient gods were in shock, Hongjun spoke again.
"He is a Chaos Demon God, and the path he follows is similar to that of Pangu, yet different."
"To integrate the endless laws into oneself, to transform the laws into one's own, and to control the laws; this method is even more difficult than Pangu's attainment of the Dao through force."
"His combat strength is extremely formidable; he can rival a saint in single combat!"
At this point, Hongjun seemed uncertain, and finally added, "With this method, becoming a saint is almost hopeless; it can only enhance one's own combat power."
The group of ancient gods were even more horrified.
I never imagined such a method existed in the world!
The four methods to achieve sainthood are each more difficult than the last.
In an instant, the ancient gods became even more eager for the legendary opportunity to become saints.
Amidst Hongjun's bewildered expression, all eyes turned intently to him.
"Please, teacher, grant me the foundation for sainthood!!!"
I'm offering a shout-out to a fellow member's new book, and I'll be doing a chapter recommendation. If any of you are interested, you can check it out. It's called "A Mortal's Journey to Immortality: The Yang Clan of Immortals".
