Chapter 51

Winner's Settlement

A few days later, just as Chen Che had figured out how to bring it up with his advisor and secretary, Chen Sui called: "Chen Che, come out quickly, I'm waiting for you in the pavilion."

"What's wrong, class monitor?"

"Hey, you'll see when you get here." Chen Sui said mysteriously, but Chen Che could still barely suppress the joy in her voice.

Chen Che had only taken a few steps out of the dormitory when he saw Chen Sui waving at him from the pavilion. Although she tried her best to keep a straight face, she couldn't help but laugh when she saw Chen Che coming over.

"Comrade squad leader, why did you call me over in such a hurry? What instructions do you have?" Chen Che asked with a smile.

"Why don't you take a guess?" Chen Sui said mysteriously, putting her hands behind her back.

"Guess if I'll guess?"

"Guess what I'm guessing, or are you going to guess?"

……

The two went through several rounds of nested puzzles until Chen Sui got confused and pulled out a few A4 sheets of paper from behind her back. Chen Che looked at them and saw that they were official documents with red headers, containing Sun Ning's handling results.

Teacher Sun avoided decades of detours and was reassigned to work as a security guard.

"The incubator should soon have new teachers in charge of management," Chen Sui said with a smile.

"Great!" Chen Che blurted out.

"But why so suddenly?"

"Hehe, because I went directly to the principal, and the principal held a special meeting to resolve this matter," Chen Sui explained.

"Huh?" Chen Che was taken aback, and did not show the joyful expression that Chen Sui had expected.

"What's wrong?" Chen Sui asked, puzzled. Shouldn't this be a happy occasion?

"Hmm..." Chen Che looked conflicted, then said, "It's a good thing, but I think you should have told me beforehand."

"This..." Chen Sui touched her nose guiltily. By the time she remembered that she should discuss it with Chen Che first, the principal had already started a meeting.

"Never mind, the most important thing is that the result is good." Chen Che waved his hand. In any case, Chen Sui is now the biggest contributor to this matter.

"Well," Chen Sui paused for a moment and said, "Actually, there's one more thing."

Chen Che's heart skipped a beat: "What is it? Good news or bad news?"

Who taught this silly girl such a bad habit? Why does she always only say half of what she means?

"That's great!"

"The principal said that in order to compensate us for the unfair treatment we suffered, in addition to the fact that the incubator itself was free to use, the water and electricity in the incubator would also be waived for us before graduation."

"However, there is a small condition: we must not spread this information outside. If people who are not aware of the specifics find out, it will have a negative impact on the school."

Chen Sui was speaking perfectly fine, but Chen Che on the other end suddenly froze, frowned, and said, "Hey, are you listening to me?"

Then Chen Che shouted excitedly, "Sister Chen, you're awesome!"

Then, in one swift step, he moved closer to Chen Sui and wrapped his arms around her.

Chen Sui never expected Chen Che to make such a bold move. A blush spread from her ears to her neck, and when she looked again, it had soaked her entire face.

"What are you doing?!" Chen Sui subconsciously pushed Chen Che away, asking angrily.

Chen Che realized what he had just done, took two steps back awkwardly, and said with an embarrassed laugh, "Sorry, class monitor, I couldn't help myself, I couldn't help myself."

"I'm so excited! This will save me a lot of money."

The incubator was originally intended for public rental, and the school's incentive for on-campus entrepreneurial teams was to waive the rent, while utilities were still required to be paid as usual.

However, after Chen Sui's commotion, the school directly waived the water and electricity fees, which was a real lifesaver, allowing the already impoverished family to save a little money.

Chen Sui saw that he hadn't done it on purpose, so she didn't pursue the matter further and just pretended it hadn't happened.

"Shall we head to the incubator now? It'll probably take some time to get everything ready," Chen Che asked.

Chen Sui shook her head and said, "The school hasn't arranged any teachers yet, so there's no use in you going now."

"Hehe, yeah." Chen Che chuckled sheepishly.

Now that it's all settled, I can just wait a few days without worry.

Having said everything she needed to say, Chen Sui waved her hand, preparing to say goodbye: "I'm leaving now, I have something to do at the student council."

Chen Che nodded and was about to return to his dormitory when he suddenly remembered something: "By the way, class monitor, would you be interested in coming with me to visit our dear Teacher Sun?"

"Oh, no, it should be Gatekeeper Master Sun now," Chen Che chuckled.

"Huh? What condolences?" The simple-minded and straightforward Chen Sui didn't understand at first, but then she realized and said "Oh," shaking her head repeatedly: "There's no point in talking to this kind of person."

"Oh, what a pity. Goodbye then." Chen Che sighed. How could anyone not be interested in something as interesting as kicking someone when they're down?

Those who have a grudge should seek revenge, and those who have a grievance should seek redress.

After they parted ways, Chen Sui went to the student union's activity room as planned. Today, the external relations department had some work to do.

Minister Zhang Jing handed out a form listing the shops near the school. It was time for them to shamelessly ask for sponsorships again, and now they had to allocate quotas to each person.

As Zhang Jing was lecturing on the podium, Chen Sui's mind began to wander, and she recalled Chen Che's sudden hug from earlier.

Aside from her father holding her, this was the first time she had ever been held by another boy.

The incident happened so suddenly and hastily that Chen Sui didn't have time to properly experience it. Even after her instinctive resistance, she didn't feel any disgust; instead, she even felt a little reminiscing about it.

The warmth of his body still lingered on my arm; the boy's skin felt soft too. If only I could have experienced that again...

Lost in her own world, Chen Sui felt she could no longer hear the surrounding noise, and her heart began to pound violently, the thumping sound incredibly clear at that moment.

On the other side, Chen Che strode towards the school gate. As the security room came into view and got closer and closer, his mood improved.

Sun Ning, who should have been comfortably enjoying the air conditioning in her office, was now slumped over the security room table, listlessly fanning herself with a fan in an attempt to ward off the summer heat.

Chen Che leaned against the windowsill, his eyes meeting Sun Ning's. His mind raced, and he feigned surprise, pretending not to know Sun Ning was there: "Huh? Teacher Sun, what are you doing here? Why are you at the gate?"

"Is it because the office is too boring, and you want to come here to challenge yourself?"

Sun Ning swallowed hard, moistened her dry lips, thought for a moment, and finally decided to ignore him, turning her head away.

"Teacher Sun, we ran into someone we know, why didn't you even say hello?"

"Teacher, why aren't you smiling? Are you just naturally averse to smiling?"

This feeling of triumph is even more exhilarating than playing a Blink Dagger.
