Chapter 635

Dividing the Inheritance

Chapter 635 Dividing the Inheritance
Special military operations against the United States were launched quietly, without the people of European countries even noticing.

After all, the number of troops deployed by each country was limited. The 20 troops deployed by the three major powers of Britain, France, and Spain were only a drop in the ocean compared to their respective sizes.

Unlike Europe, which remained peaceful and stable, Americans were acutely aware of whether or not war would break out.

Although this war was publicly declared to be a special military operation against the United States, war is war after all, and its brutality is undeniable and cannot be changed.

The League of Nations will not be lenient with the United States, nor will it show any mercy to the United States just because the American people do not want to see war.

On February 3, 1921, Spain, Britain and France jointly formed an air transport fleet in an attempt to transport a sufficient number of troops to Canada within a few days, thereby launching a swift attack on the United States.

While the three countries were transporting troops, actions to disrupt the domestic situation in the United States were also being carried out simultaneously.

On February 2, 1921, the League of Nations officially issued a letter entitled "To All Americans," announcing the formal launch of a special military operation against the United States and demanding that all Americans refuse to serve the U.S. government during the special military operation and cease assisting the United States, which had turned its back on all humanity.

In addition, the international coalition stated that it would bomb important U.S. facilities continuously for the next three months and urged all Americans to stay away from these areas as much as possible.

Within the bombing range of the League of Nations were government buildings of the U.S. federal government, state governments and municipal governments, the Capitol Building, important ports, factories and train stations, etc.

Apart from cities and rural areas where ordinary people were the majority, most other areas were within the bombing range of the League of Nations.

If it weren't for the desire to win over some Americans, major American cities might also be on the bombing list.

Nearly six years have passed since the end of World War II, and the air force technology of various countries has developed quite rapidly.

During the World Wars, only Spain possessed airplanes; many other countries had never even heard of them.

After the end of World War II, Britain keenly recognized the potential of airplanes and invested heavily in their research and development.

This made Britain the second country in the world, after Spain, to possess aircraft, and it quickly established its own air force after the end of World War II.

The so-called bombing by the League of Nations was of course carried out by aircraft, since aircraft are faster and less likely to be detected by the Americans.

Even if the Americans were to develop aircraft, it would have no impact on the international coalition's bombing operations.

Spain had already used aircraft to bomb Germany during World War II six years earlier, which was one of the reasons that led to Germany's defeat in the war.

Today, Spain's air force is only stronger than it was during World War II, a consensus shared by European countries.

If Spain hadn't lagged behind Britain in terms of colonies, it might have surpassed Britain to become the world's leading power in European media rankings long ago.

Even though it still lags behind Britain in terms of colonies and total industrial scale, Spain is now widely recognized as the world's second strongest power, a formidable obstacle for the United States.

Before launching the bombing campaign against American territory, Britain, France, and Spain jointly sent out numerous letters urging surrender to major American cities.

The letter of surrender was very simple. One of its contents was to demand that the US government cease resistance and accept the League of Nations' request to investigate whether there was a connection between the US chemical plant and the US influenza pandemic.

Secondly, it called on the American people to stay away from the bombing zones of the international coalition in order to avoid unnecessary casualties.

Although the letter of surrender does not cause any physical harm to the American people, the psychological pressure it creates is something that the US government cannot alleviate no matter how much it tries to justify it.

The League of Nations was no joke; the day after issuing a large number of surrender ultimatums, it launched bombing raids on key American facilities.

The first to suffer were several ports on the US East Coast. Even though the US Navy retaliated, it could not prevent the ports from being destroyed in the bombing by the international coalition.

In terms of air force, the United States already possesses aircraft, a fact that surprised many countries in the international coalition.

However, the United States' military aircraft technology is significantly inferior to that of Spain.

Even compared to British aircraft, American aircraft were slightly inferior in performance. This meant that in direct air battles between the two sides, the US Air Force found it difficult to suppress the bombing raids of the coalition air forces, and could only watch helplessly as the coalition air forces left US airspace unscathed after dropping all their bombs.

It is precisely because of this that the US government has completely lost its supporters. No matter how much the American people love America, they cannot accept the fact that their country's military is utterly incapable of protecting their nation.

The results are now clear: America's strength is superficial, and its military power is simply insufficient to protect its homeland.

While the League of Nations was sending out numerous letters urging surrender, many Americans still clung to a sliver of hope. They believed the League of Nations wouldn't bomb densely populated areas like ports, as bombing ports meant thousands or even tens of thousands of casualties, a fact that should have deterred the League.

However, as it turned out, the League of Nations had absolutely no qualms about this. This was partly because most of the port laborers were Black, and partly because the League of Nations had gained absolute control of public opinion in this special military operation.

The reason for this special military operation was that the US government rejected the international coalition's reasonable request to investigate the chemical plant.

As an international organization, the League of Nations should not engage in any biased actions. This also means that the United States has openly placed itself in opposition to the world. What does it matter if ports are bombed by a country that has betrayed all of humanity?

As for the Americans who were wounded or even killed in the bombing, they have no right to blame the League of Nations. If anyone has to be blamed, it is the US government.

After all, if the US government hadn't turned its back on the choices of all humanity, the international coalition would never have launched a special military operation, let alone bombed US ports.

With a large amount of media manipulation, the American public quickly came to believe this claim.

These claims appear flawless on the surface, since the story is seven parts truth and three parts falsehood, and ordinary people, without knowing the facts, have no way of distinguishing the truth from falsehood.

The US government is utterly powerless to refute this point. How can it explain it? Should it brazenly tell the public that the US government provided an interest-free loan to the League of Nations countries so that the League's investigation team could clear the US of suspicion as soon as possible?
Ordinary citizens won't care about the actions of the League of Nations investigation team in the United States; they'll only think that the US is guilty and trying to use an interest-free loan to get the League of Nations to acknowledge its innocence and thus shirk responsibility. Such an explanation only makes things worse, which is why the US government hasn't offered much explanation.

Of course, the fact that the US government has fallen into further chaos is also a very important reason.

Since the international coalition announced special military action against the United States, the country has been plunged into unprecedented chaos.

The Republican Party had initiated impeachment proceedings against President Wilson earlier, but according to the U.S. Constitution, the president does not relinquish power after being impeached, and President Wilson can still exercise the powers of the presidency.

But here's the problem: the Republican-controlled Congress is impeaching the president, and some of his resolutions simply cannot pass Congressional review.

This leads to a fatal problem: the president's orders never leave the White House, and Congress is unable to exercise the president's powers to govern the country.

As for the vice president, before President Wilson passed away, he was only the vice president and could not exercise power on behalf of the president.

Of course, if President Wilson were to become completely paralyzed or fall into a coma, he might be able to take over the presidency.

But is this current mess something the vice president wants to take over? The answer is already quite clear.

The United States is no longer merely in a state of chaos; it is facing the risk of national extinction. The fact that the Vice President is now assuming presidential powers in place of Wilson is not good news for him.

If he were to actually do that, he would be etched in American history books alongside President Wilson, becoming one of the presidents who contributed to the downfall of the United States.

If he hadn't done that, he would have remained President Wilson's vice president, avoiding the risk of America's demise and able to run for president again after all that was over.

The above only describes the chaos in the US federal government; the chaos in the individual states is far more severe, even reaching a deadly level.

According to the plan of Britain, France, and Spain, after launching a special military operation, the countries would contact immigrant communities in the United States to create as much chaos as possible within the country, thus rendering the US government unable to resist.

If Britain, France, and Spain were to unite, their immigrant communities would cooperate to dismantle American rule with maximum force.

The problem is that the three countries are simply incapable of uniting. The conflicts between Britain and France, Britain and Spain, and France and Spain have led to a chaotic situation among them.

Every country doesn't want other countries to gain more benefits, so it will naturally instruct immigrant communities in the United States to find ways to gain more benefits during times of chaos.

Although the United States was originally a collection of thirteen British colonies, British immigrants are no longer the main immigrant group in the United States today.

The United States has five major immigrant groups: German, Irish, Italian, Hispanic, and African.

British and French immigrants are ranked after these five major immigrant groups, and most British immigrants have long been fully integrated into the United States. They do not identify as British immigrants, but only as Americans.

It would be quite difficult for Britain to win over Americans, after all, the United States had been independent for over a hundred years, and there were significant differences between Americans and British, even in their languages.

Although both the British and Americans speak English, their English can be divided into British English and American English.

That's normal, since the United States is made up of immigrant groups from many countries. The English these immigrants learn can't be pure British English, and it's bound to change over a long period of time.

Just as in South American countries where Spanish is spoken, their Spanish differs somewhat from the authentic Spanish spoken on the Iberian Peninsula.

However, these differences are very minor, and both sides can generally understand what the other is saying, especially when speaking slowly and deliberately.

There is good news for Spain: the total number of Latino immigrants associated with Spain is far greater than that of British and French immigrants.

Although most Latino immigrants came from South American countries and no longer have much connection with modern Spain, it cannot be denied that most of them speak Spanish, and the majority are descendants of Spanish immigrants and local indigenous peoples, thus maintaining some connection with the Spanish people.

In addition to Latino immigrants, Irish and Italian immigrants can also be utilized to some extent.

Ireland gained independence with the support of Spain, and given the animosity between the Irish and the British, they would most likely choose to support Spain or cooperate with it.

Although Italian immigrants have Italy backing them, Italy's international influence is ultimately far less than that of Britain, France, and Spain.

If Italy wants to get a piece of the pie in the US market, it must cooperate with Spain to gain entry.

Therefore, Spain already holds a significant advantage in terms of immigrant population.

Even though Britain could win over some Americans, it couldn't compare to Spain, which had attracted multiple immigrant groups. France, needless to say, despite Louis XVI being hailed as the father of France, had ties with the United States largely limited to supporting the War of Independence and the Statue of Liberty.

French immigrants are not a major immigrant group in the United States. Even if France can attract some Americans, it is still far less than that of the British and Spanish.

Under the covert planning of Britain, France, and Spain, the major immigrant groups in the United States have now reached a unified and clear stance: to divide America's last remaining legacy.

Yes, the United States is not yet extinct, and various immigrant groups are already thinking about dividing up the inheritance.

There's no way around it; the land of America is simply too rich. Even if one were to be granted just one state, its land area would rival that of major European countries, making it an irresistible temptation for various immigrant groups.
