Chapter 11

The Loneliness in Cang Yu's Heart

Cang Yu stood at the edge of the crowd, calmly observing the tense standoff in the arena.

Upon hearing the word "police," the thief clearly panicked; his hand gripping the knife trembled uncontrollably, and his voice became hoarse.

"No, don't come any closer! I'm really going to stab you!"

"Calm down!" Qi Lin's voice remained steady; she softened her tone slightly, trying to distract the other person.

"Put the knife down. We can discuss anything. You don't want things to get worse, right?"

In that brief moment when the thief was distracted by her words and his gaze wandered slightly—

Qi Lin moved!

Her movements were as fast as lightning. She stepped forward to the side, her left hand precisely blocking the opponent's knife-wielding arm, while her right hand seized his wrist, twisting and pressing it down!

With a soft "crack," accompanied by the thief's painful scream, the dagger fell to the ground.

Immediately afterwards, Qi Lin nimbly turned around, twisted the assailant's arm behind his back, and pressed her knee against his lower back, completely subduing the assailant to the ground.

The entire movement was fluid and seamless, happening in the blink of an eye.

"Bravo!" Cheers erupted from the crowd, with some even clapping.

Only then did Qilin breathe a slight sigh of relief, but her professional instincts kept her on guard, firmly pressing down on the still groaning thug with her knees.

She looked up, her gaze unconsciously sweeping across the crowd, as if searching for something.

Her gaze swept over the faces, some excited, some terrified, and finally settled on the back of a figure about to turn and leave in the distance.

It was the back view of a young man, dressed simply, yet somehow giving off an inexplicable sense of alienation.

Qi Lin's brows furrowed almost imperceptibly.

She clearly remembers that at the moment when the assailant suddenly pulled out a knife and the crowd retreated in panic, only this person remained standing still, unusually calm.

Moreover... the way the thug fell just now was indeed quite strange.

However, just as she was about to get a closer look, the figure had already silently disappeared into the crowd, so fast that it seemed as if it were just her imagination.

Cang Yu walked through the noisy streets and turned into a relatively quiet alley.

The faint sound of police sirens grew closer in the distance. A barely perceptible smile curved the corners of his lips.

After leaving the city, Cang Yu first went to a car dealership and selected a McLaren 650.

The process was swift and efficient, with no unnecessary conversation. After paying in full, I picked up the car and left.

Following the navigation, he drove towards the outskirts of the city. The closer he got to his destination, the more tranquil the surroundings became.

Finally, the vehicle slowly drove into a highly private driveway and stopped in front of an imposing wrought iron gate. Inside the gate lay the property he had just purchased.

What comes into view is a three-story villa with simple and modern lines, standing deep in a neatly manicured courtyard.

The main building combines light gray stone with cool-toned glass.

It appears calm and aloof in the afternoon sunlight, forming a stark contrast with the surrounding greenery, exuding a tranquil feeling that keeps people at a distance.

One side of the villa features a full-length glass window, offering a glimpse into the expansive view inside.

The entire courtyard is surrounded by high walls, ensuring absolute privacy. At this moment, the only sound is the rustling of the wind through the treetops, making it seem like a completely different world from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Cang Yu got out of the car and walked to the heavy solid wood gate of the villa.

He pulled the brand-new key from his pocket; the cold metallic touch complemented the surrounding silence.

The key was inserted into the lock, making a soft "click" sound that was particularly clear in the quiet environment.

With a slight effort of his wrist, he pushed open the heavy door.

The space inside the door is open and airy, but feels somewhat empty.

A faint, clean scent, characteristic of newly installed building materials, lingered in the air.

The smooth, mirror-like tiled floor clearly reflected his solitary figure as he walked in. His footsteps echoed softly among the walls, revealing a desolate feeling that had not yet been warmed by the traces of life.

Cang Yu made a general inspection.

The villa was clearly well-maintained, spotless and clean, without a trace of dirt or disorder.

All daily necessities are provided.

Even the corners that usually accumulate dust are spotless.

The windows are bright and clean, and the flowers, plants and trees in the courtyard outside the window are also neatly trimmed and full of life.

After putting the groceries he bought along the way into the refrigerator, Cang Yu tied on an apron, intending to cook himself.

Although he is no longer troubled by money, he still prefers to do things himself.

After all, only you know best how to adjust the flavor to suit your taste.

He walked to the counter, picked up a knife to prepare the ingredients, but paused slightly, as if he had suddenly remembered something.

He gently put the knife down, closed his eyes, and let his mind sink into the depths of his consciousness.

In that unique spiritual space, Keisha, He Xi, and Liang Bing were sitting on the sofa, seemingly talking about something.

Cang Yu's voice broke their conversation, carrying a hint of barely perceptible curiosity:

"Speaking of which... in your current state, can you even taste human food?"

Cang Yu's voice echoed softly in the space of consciousness.

The three queens who were talking paused upon hearing this, and then turned their heads in different ways.

Keisha gracefully crossed her legs, a faint smile playing on her lips.

He Xi's eyes flickered, a smile playing on her lips.

Liang Bing clicked her tongue, leaned back slightly against the sofa, and gave a look of disgust that said, "You actually asked such a stupid question."

Finally, Keisha spoke first. Her voice remained gentle yet authoritative, but it clearly carried a hint of mockery:

"What? Are you inviting us to dinner, Kozo?"

"Ah... um." Cang Yu nodded.

His somewhat clumsy yet sincere invitation warmed the hearts of the three queens.

Even though they have long since transcended the mundane, this warmth of being remembered remains precious.

However, Keisha gently shook her head and explained softly:

"Thank you for your kindness. However, we are still essentially in a soul state, and cannot eat like ordinary people for the time being."

Upon hearing this, a barely perceptible hint of disappointment flashed across Cang Yu's eyes.

He has always been alone since he was a child.

It wasn't until he learned that the three kings he 'loved' had always been by his side in some form that a deep, indescribable joy welled up within him.

From that moment on, he suddenly felt that he was no longer as lonely as he used to be.

Although at the time he was unaware that the three kings were within his consciousness and that they could not truly communicate with each other.

But Cang Yu knew that they had been watching him all along, observing him intently.

After transmigrating to the world of gods, he wasn't actually that worried.

After hearing the three kings' explanation, his first thought was: perhaps from now on, he wouldn't have to walk alone anymore...

The feeling of disappointment only lingered for a brief moment before he quickly suppressed it.

After all, with such a powerful "golden finger," what is this little problem? There's always a way to solve it.

Thinking of this, he raised his head, gave the three of them a relaxed and teasing smile, and said:

"I see... It seems you're going to miss out on a great meal this time."
