Chapter 6

: Rejecting Thor!

Chapter 6: Rejecting Thor!

Thor, the second strongest being in the world.

It looks very glorious.

But the Limitless Martial Arts Academy has a philosophy—to pursue the limit and surpass the limit!

There is also a common way to say this: "If you don't want to be the number one martial artist in the world, you are not a qualified martial artist!"

Thor and Hong are such good friends, so of course he must have heard of this statement.

Doesn't Thor want to be number one in the world?

He was very envious.

Thor's "Ninefold Thunder Blade" is the fastest blade in the world. In terms of power generation, even Hong's "World Destruction" is far inferior to it.

He also possesses the world's fastest speed and the world's strongest physique!

In terms of cultivation level, he had always been one step ahead of Hong, yet he still couldn't defeat him because Hong possessed a domain.

This domain allows Hong to have virtually no rivals within the planetary level, enabling him to easily fight opponents of higher levels.

Thor has wasted decades pursuing the realm, yet he has never been able to grasp its secrets. Now that a promising talent has appeared before him, he can't wait to see Hong's reaction to Gu Ce's amazing talent!

"Is this the place?"

With a thought, Thor arrived above the Gu family manor. Strangely, no one around him could spot him.

"Oh?"

Suddenly, Thor seemed to sense something and looked in the direction of the Thunder Martial Arts School.

The Thunder Martial Arts Hall in Jiangnan Base City is not far from the Gu Family Manor. With the strength of a Thunder God-level being, it is natural that they can discover the situation there.

The next instant, Thor transformed into a bolt of lightning and arrived above the Thunder Martial Arts Hall.

"Good lad, a high-level warrior is dominating a high-level general!" Thor concealed himself and stared wide-eyed at the situation on the dueling platform.

With his keen eye, he could naturally see that Wang Heng was holding back, only using the physical qualities equivalent to a junior general, but he was still outmatched by Gu Ce in terms of skill!

It should be noted that Wang Heng is a renowned high-ranking general who may well become a God of War in the future. He has even mastered the third level of the Nine-Fold Thunder Blade, yet he is still outmatched by Gu Ce. His movement and swordsmanship are both a level below Gu Ce's, and the gap is enormous!

"when!"

The third level of the Nine-Fold Thunder Blade has three additional hidden forces, increasing its power by 2.8 times.

Gu Ce, wielding the Longevity Sword, clashed head-on with Wang Heng, but ultimately could not withstand his onslaught and was defeated.

"I lost." Gu Ce shook his head slightly.

Wang Heng placed his sword back on the weapon rack and approached Gu Ce, saying in surprise.

"I used the physical abilities of a mid-level warrior and only managed to defeat you by relying on the power of the Nine-fold Thunder Blade. Fortunately, your Longevity Sword Technique has not broken through to the second level, otherwise I'm afraid I might not have been able to win even if I went all out."

"Brother Wang, I see your swordsmanship has improved. Are you about to break through to the fourth level?" Gu Ce asked with a smile.

"Not even close." Wang Heng shook his head. "If I could break through to the fourth level, I wouldn't be stuck at the Warrior General level all this time."

"It's okay, Brother Wang, I believe you can do it," Gu Ce comforted him.

"Brother Wang, I'm going back now." After the battle, Gu Ce was covered in sweat and was about to go home to take a shower and change his clothes.

However, when he turned his head, he found a bald man in a white robe looking at him happily not far away.

Six Eyes couldn't even spot him!

Gu Ce was startled, then realized what was going on.

"The owner?" Gu Ce asked tentatively.

"What? Master?" Wang Heng, who was tidying up the venue on the other side, heard the commotion and looked over. He was stunned and his eyes widened.

"Hey, don't make a fuss." Thor made a shushing gesture to Wang Heng, then smiled at Gu Ce.

"Young Gu, I've been observing you for a long time. Would you be willing to become my apprentice?" Thor chuckled, stroking his bald head. "Within two years, I'll definitely train you into a top-tier war god!"

"It's not even impossible for someone to surpass the God of War!"

Thor looked at Gu Ce expectantly.

Wang Heng stood to the side, looking even more nervous than Gu Ce, staring excitedly at Thor, wishing he could agree on Gu Ce's behalf right then and there.

"Master," Gu Ce said softly to Thor, "Although I greatly admire you, please forgive me for declining."

"Why?" Thor was taken aback.

"Because." Gu Ce thought for a moment, then decided to keep his arrogant words to himself.

Although he was very confident, he also knew that it was not good to offend people when he was weak.

"What I lack is resources, not guidance from others," Gu Ce said earnestly. "Master, you use a knife, and I use a sword, so we naturally can't communicate effectively. But my uncle can guide me in swordsmanship."

"As for other aspects, I don't think anyone on Earth can guide me, not even Master Hong!" Gu Ce said confidently.

"You brat." Thor was a little angry after hearing Gu Ce's words, but he didn't show it.

Aren't you just making it clear that I'm not as good as Hong?

"Alright," Thor said in a deep voice.

"I'd like to see what you can do with the resources I'm given!"

"Your confidence, inherited from the Gu family lineage, is truly..." Thor shook his head.

"Tomorrow, your father, your uncle, and I will meet, and then you will come with me to the global headquarters for special training! I will give you the best resources and see how far you can go."

"Then thank you in advance, Master!" Gu Ce said with a smile.

"Hmph." Thor rolled his eyes at him, annoyed.

The world's number two is being rejected when he tries to take on a disciple. Wouldn't he be laughed at if word got out?

However, his statement that Hong was not qualified to teach him made Thor feel slightly better.

"Hmm?" Thor's eyes widened as he suddenly caught sight of Wang Heng standing to the side.

"If you dare to tell anyone about what happened today..."

"Don't worry, Master, if I leak what happened today, I'll die on the spot!" Wang Heng immediately patted his chest and said, while expressing great admiration for Gu Ce.

How many people in the world can refuse the temptation of being accepted as a disciple by Thor?

At least Wang Heng himself admitted that he was not up to the task.

"Wang Heng, you've discovered a genius, which is a merit. I'll reward you with a complete set of Nine-Fold Thunder Blades, plus my personal guidance. Do you have any doubts?" Thunder God said with a cold snort.

"Thank you so much, Master!" Wang Heng said excitedly.

"Very good, your proficiency with the Nine-fold Thunder Blade is sufficient, but there are some problems with your power exertion, which is why you have been unable to step into the fourth level..." The Thunder God gave Wang Heng some pointers, hoping to attract Gu Ce to become his disciple.

Unfortunately, Gu Ce ignored him and turned to leave.

This made Thor even angrier, and he made up his mind to drag Gu Hesheng out for a sparring session tomorrow and see how well he had raised his son!

Gu Hesheng was from his Thunder Martial Arts School, so Thunder God disciplined him without any hesitation.

In fact, Thor and the Gu brothers are from the same era, both having survived the Great Rebirth, and they know each other and have a pretty good relationship.

Gu Hesheng sneezed in the distance.

Who's thinking about me?
