Chapter 691

Because everything will come true.

Su Mi turned to look at Wei Tu, and Wei Tu, sensing the woman's gaze, turned back to look at her. Their eyes met, and Su Mi smiled and said...

"Looking back now... it really was a dream."

Wei Tu kissed her forehead and breathed a sigh of relief.

"This time it's a dream come true."

He missed countless opportunities, letting all the good things slip away from him.

Choosing to escape, or even self-destruction.

And this time, he finally achieved redemption.

He didn't want to think about how life would go on, or whether there were any potential dangers in the future.

He just wanted to be with the woman beside him.

Born brilliant, blooming until its end.

"I am Wei Tu."

"My name is Su Mi."

Just like the day we first met.

P.S.: First of all, thank you all for your company. As for whether you felt it was rushed, you definitely will; it will happen no matter how I write it. I'll share more detailed information in the ending remarks in a few days. I'm going to get some rest now. As for the next book... well, I don't have any plans for now. I'll think about it in September. - That's all. Thank you everyone.

Author's Closing Remarks~

It should have taken almost a full year.

Although this book isn't the longest of my completed books, it's probably the most complete.

No foreshadowing was omitted, and the initial promise was not forgotten.

Indeed, I am someone who cannot force myself. If I can't stick to something, it's really hard to finish it. That's why I say that for an author, results are the most important thing.

As for insisting on talking about original intentions, hobbies, or passions... I think that's less reliable than self-interest.

Everyone should know this reality: passion fades, enthusiasm wanes, and things don't always turn out as perfectly as initially envisioned.

So even though the book's performance wasn't particularly good, it exceeded my expectations and saved me from a low point. I'm very grateful for all of this and for everyone's companionship and understanding.

As for the criticisms I've received, with so many books still unfinished, how can anyone trust me?

Actually, there's something I want to point out. Back in my early days, before I wrote "Bringing Girls," I was very imaginative and didn't understand the style of "Pineapple Bun" (a popular online writing style). So I wrote and published whatever I wanted to write. That's why you see many of my books are only a few thousand words, sometimes even less than ten thousand.

If those things are also considered part of my dark history, then I really have nothing to refute.

As for those works with hundreds of thousands or even millions of words that are still unfinished, that is indeed my own problem.

I didn't try to shift the blame to others because my performance wasn't good enough. As an author, the success or failure of a book is entirely the author's responsibility, so I can only say that I chose the wrong direction and wasted most people's expectations and enthusiasm.

Writing a successful book is the most difficult task. I start each book with the greatest hope that more people will see it, that people will understand what I want to express, that there will be interaction, communication, and everything else. But most of them have not been completed, and I am very sorry about that.

However, I am grateful for everyone's support and patience in making this book a success. There was a period when I was very anxious and in a bad mood, so the updates were very unstable. Fortunately, I finally recovered.

I once said that this book might be my last book. It was actually a resolution I made for myself. If I couldn't finish writing this book, then I might as well not write it at all. Although it wouldn't lead to me working in a factory, it would be a huge setback for my pride. That's why I made this vow.

Some people even commented under my new book: "I really like a quote from Li Zhitao: This is my last book."

It's fine to mock me, but I find it quite funny. I don't really care, but what kind of life do those who use such vows to mock me live?

Is it possible to only experience success in life and never encounter setbacks that make you want to give up?

I have experienced it, but I am not ashamed of the decisions I made during the setbacks. I faced everything I had to face, and I accept whether the judgment is good or bad.

As for what this book really wants to say, it stems from the regrets that exist deep in our hearts.

It's a pity that I didn't make the right choices every time, and it's a pity that I chose to escape many times. But what I want to say is that not every choice needs to be faced head-on, and not all regrettable choices were wrong.

We've simply chosen a different path. Perhaps that path is indeed wonderful, but maybe the path we're on right now isn't so bad either.

As for the new book, it will probably be in the style of ancient Chinese literature and will likely be released in September.

I might reduce some of the artsy stuff, and I'll try my best to change my recent habit of writing more philosophical articles, so that everyone can read more easily and enjoyably.

There is another origin to this book, which is the names Wei Tu and Su Mi.

The word "荼靡" (tú mǐ) was probably the most memorable word for me during that period. I won't go into detail about what it represents here, as everyone can look it up.

The story of Wei Tu and Su Mi has come to an end. As for the side stories... there's no need for everyone to wait. Besides, writing side stories would probably just be adding a bad ending, so I won't bother.

The story has ended. I hope you, the readers, will have more patience. I hope you will enjoy the next book. I wish you all good health and all the best.

Love you all, Li Zhitao.
