Looking back, I think there were over 500 people who followed the story all the way to the end. I'm really touched that they were able to read it all the way through the year-long serialization.

Speaking of the ending, it wasn't really that sudden. I think everyone could tell from more than ten chapters ago that it was going to end.

The original plan was to write up to two million words. Although I didn't manage to finish it, the total number of words that were censored is about enough. At least in my draft, it's just about enough.

If I continue writing, I'll have to start new chapters, like the university chapter, the workplace chapter, and so on... Although I've drafted some stories for those parts, they all seem very fragmented now. I don't want to do any tedious stuff like re-conquering someone after losing their memory, so I might as well just end it here.

The main storyline has been successfully completed, but it is quite different from what I originally envisioned. This is because I made several changes along the way, and it ended up like this. Personally, I think it's alright, and I wouldn't call it a bad ending.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this book. To achieve this result on a fanfiction-heavy site like Cat Station is quite impressive; at least I haven't disgraced a seasoned author like myself. However, there are still many regrets, or rather, shortcomings. There are quite a few parts that I feel I didn't write well.

While thinking about my new book a while ago, I also reviewed the book again. Sure enough, even for a novel that mainly focuses on daily life, the story should still be divided into chapters and the narrative pace should be controlled. Otherwise, it is easy to lose control of the length, and the content that readers do not like to read will be written too long and not concise enough.

Also, the protagonist's abilities basically stopped appearing in the middle and later stages of the book. Actually, it was because I found that whenever the protagonist used this ability, it would introduce a new character, and the new character would have to join the harem... a vicious cycle, so I simply hid it. It was also because I didn't consider the cheat system well enough.

Then, I didn't design many crises in this book because I didn't really want to write about torturing the protagonist or showing off. I just wanted to write about daily life and the jealousy between the female protagonist and the male protagonist. As a result, the love triangle didn't become serious enough to cause a major crisis, so it seemed rather bland... Actually, it met my expectations, but readers might find it a bit boring.

It's been a long time since I've written a novel exceeding a million words, and my control over the plot has weakened considerably. I really should reflect on that.

These are all lessons I've learned for myself.

Speaking of the book's design, there are actually some details in the characters' names. You might notice that the female lead's name contains colors or seasons.

An exception is Anri Hitomi, whose name is derived from the character Ming, which corresponds to the character Ming in Kuroba Akira. It means that one can only have light if one has eyes.

However, later on, the character design did not strictly adhere to this idea.

And there's no corresponding color for green... because I wanted to play on the tired trope of "this book has no green" lol.

There's nothing else I want to say. As for the side stories, I probably won't write any. Actually, the first few chapters that jumped to the summer part already had a bit of an epilogue feel to them. The characters' careers and lives are progressing in an orderly manner, and it feels like if I continue, it will just be showing off our love.

However, if I were to write about showing affection, I would inevitably end up writing something borderline, and then having to outwit and outmaneuver Shen He... Just thinking about it gives me a headache, so I'll pass. If you're interested, you can use your imagination or write your own fanfiction.

The most frustrating thing about this book's serialization was being ganked by Shen He. It really made my stress levels explode every time... I can only say that the environment is like this, and nobody wants to take the blame. Although I can understand, it's still very upsetting, and it's really unavoidable.
