Chapter 1432

The Bird World

Chapter 1432 The Bird World

His words echoed throughout the hall, shaking heaven and earth!

The monks lowered their heads again, and the two attendants outside also knelt down, their heads touching the ground, and said in unison:

"I am willing to serve as a future teacher and vanquish the seven evils!"

Even the Maha who rarely ventured out, like Rinpoche, had mastered the most basic customs of the Buddha Land, and spoke in unison without the slightest hesitation.

But Dangjiang above listened with rapt attention, his lips slightly parted, as if thunder were crashing in his heart:

'I see!'

When he came here, he had heard about the identity of the Xuan Tian Master. It was rumored that he was a good friend of the Prefectural Lord—what kind of person was qualified to be a good friend of that Prefectural Lord!

So it was a Fangzun!
The Northern Buddha and the Central Buddha, one traveled from north to south, spreading the Great Way and bringing Buddhism and Taoism into the world, and the other attained enlightenment in the mountains, cultivating both immortality and Buddhism, and widely spreading the Taoist tradition. Neither of them was an absolute master of Buddhism and Taoism in their respective eras!

'Namo Buddha…the future teacher…the supreme and unsurpassed lineage of Buddhism!'

'I see!'

Dangjiang finally understood.

The abbot above had gained great insight and was overjoyed, while Minghui below was equally pleased.

The story of Namo Amitabha Buddha was passed down among high-ranking Buddhist and Taoist practitioners. His own master did not conceal it, so Minghui knew a little more about it. He dared to speak so arbitrarily, not only because he felt that it was very similar to the Buddha's story, but also because he was naturally trying to curry favor.

'The highest position for Buddhist practitioners is that of the Venerable One!'

Since the teachings of the Middle Venerable One, it has not only been the image of the World-Honored One. Minghui dares to say that most of the Mahayana have imagined whether they might be the destined World-Honored One. Those disciples of Tiancanyan also became World-Honored Ones, and they dare not completely deny that they are not the World-Honored One.

What if I were born that way in my next life?

Even Tianjue Suxikong, who disliked flattery the most back then, was hailed as the Southern Buddha, but that was nothing more than "I cannot use the name of the Dharma to define myself".

Even if the World Honored One behind Xuantian is not the legendary future master, he is regarded as the Southern World Honored One by this Maha who came from the present world with great reverence, and is regarded as a dignified Venerable One. How could he be punished?
Whether there are dates or not, let's shoot first and see!

Just as Minghui was feeling smug, Dangjiang above nodded repeatedly, stood up excitedly, looked at the group of Buddhist and Taoist cultivators before him with shining eyes, and said with a smile:
"The time has not come, so do not speak rashly!"

This was tacit approval. The three monks below were all shocked. Even Minghui was stunned for a moment, revealing a trace of heartfelt shock. He silently bowed his head and repeatedly apologized.

'really…'

The monks fell silent. Dangjiang felt refreshed and thought to himself:
'The mysteries of heaven are boundless; even nine lifetimes wouldn't be enough for them to fathom them. I fear these lower cultivators wouldn't recognize such a powerful backer… To put it bluntly, even a monk needs a title to swindle people, let alone someone like me, the Supreme Mysterious Heaven? Venerable Nan… Excellent!'

Looking around, he saw that everyone was convinced, so he nodded slightly, raised his eyebrows, looked at Minghui, and frowned, saying:
"What's the current state of those seven phases...?"

The group exchanged glances, and Minghui finally hesitated slightly before speaking seriously:
“Reporting to the Abbot, our Shanle Dao originated from the transmission of the Dharma by the two masters, Lian Shi and Liang Xuan. It is said that the patriarch Liang Xuan has passed away while seeking the Dao. Now... now the Lian Shi master has not appeared for many years. Although he has received blessings, he no longer manifests his Dharma form.”

He paused slightly here, and Murong Yan, filled with hatred, couldn't wait to speak, bowing and saying:

"Your Excellency, the Land of Compassionate Sins is the most evil and poisonous of the seven realms. It has many powerful forces and at least three Dharma forms, comparable to the Great Desire Dharma Realm!"

He paused slightly, and said...

“The various Dharma images take turns inspecting the world every hundred years. The one that is most visible in the world now is the Dharma image enshrined at Baishan Temple, which is known in the community as the Dao Bell Image!”

Upon hearing this name, Dangjiang immediately recalled the gleaming white Heavenly Eye, his eyes turning cold as he said:
"【The Bell Image of the Compassionate Path of Falun Dafa】?"

Murong Yan was startled and exclaimed in shock:

"Indeed, sir..."

"Humph!"

The monks on either side finally found something related to reality and all turned to look, their hearts pounding. But they only saw that the blue-robed demon monk had icy eyes and said nonchalantly:
"I almost forgot to mention that in the Wonderful Land there is a Venerable One named Liangyu—the disciple of the World-Honored One whom you saw in the hall. This Daozhong Xiang... has a karmic connection with him."

'The Dharma of Destiny…'

Everyone's minds immediately raced with speculation, and they lowered their heads in silence. Unexpectedly, the abbot had already asked, saying calmly:
"Murong Yan, what is your cultivation level across lifetimes?"

Murong Yan hurriedly said:
"Disciple... although I have only recently lost all my cultivation, I have a body that has been refined over a long period of time, spanning three lifetimes. I heard it was left to me by a fallen Maha..."

"Three lifetimes?"

A hint of disappointment flashed in Dang Jiang's eyes, but unexpectedly, the man in purple bowed deeply and said respectfully:
"This disciple is a disciple of Baishan Temple, and the Taoist priest named Yuanshan Mohe is my master!"

Murong Yan whispered:

"This Maha, as a practitioner, now holds a very high position in the path of compassion. Many important state affairs are discussed in detail with the emperor by this Maha when he enters the palace."

The implication was clear: Murong Yan desperately wanted to increase her own value, and whispered:

"I overheard them discussing a while ago that some auspicious land was about to appear..."

Upon hearing this, Dangjiang was basically certain that Yuanshan was the old monk from back then. He nodded in satisfaction and said:

"In that case, you'll need to gain his trust first..."

"Yes!"

Ren Shijia bowed deeply. Although he didn't harbor as much hatred as Murong Yan, and compared to Minghui's slight hesitation, he felt absolutely no psychological burden and respectfully said:

“Reporting to the Abbot, the Great Desire Path…The Great Desire Sinful Land has two aspects, one is called the Desire Realm aspect in the path, and the other is…the Saintly aspect.”

A hint of complexity flickered in his eyes. He lowered his gaze and said:

"That sir... is the son of the pheasant, possessing the body of a peacock, with a vast and profound cultivation... truly remarkable. And now... now there is a momentous matter at hand..."

Dangjiang had been watching the peacock closely for a while, and with a cold laugh, he said:
"What kind of spiritual practice allows it to run rampant like this!"

Ren Shijia moved his lips slightly, not daring to speak, but heard Murong Yan sneer:

"Reporting to the Abbot, this peacock calls himself 'The Young Saint of the Fixed Fruit of Heaven,' 'The Demon Body Exterminated from the Six Senses,' and also 'The Venerable One Who Emerges and Enters the Holy Treasure Form.' He is quite extraordinary. Back then, after attaining enlightenment, he became even more arrogant, saying: 'I once carried the World-Honored One across the ferry, the root of evil was severed in the abyss of the sea, I have already attained enlightenment without clinging to a single scripture, and I have already reserved a seat in the sandalwood forest…'"

After hearing these few words, Dangjiang knew it was indeed a powerful demon. He felt a chill in his heart, but sneered and said:

"What a fine, hairy beast!"

Renshijia quickly bowed and said:
"The Daoist tradition calls him a Saintly Being. I heard that before the Lord passed away, he tied him to Baohua Mountain, intending for him to guard the mountain. During the Battle of Pingmingjin... he was pulled down and attained enlightenment. Later, he established the Dao with the Desire Realm Being, and his position as a Dharma Being gradually became known. In recent years, he has become increasingly powerful, pretending to be in seclusion, and scheming against all the Beings..."

"As for the Desire Realm... it enlightened my family's Maha Liangli back then, but it has never appeared again. Occasionally, it will issue decrees, but we really have no confidence in it..."

Dangjiang nodded immediately, gradually understanding the situation, and then raised the question that concerned him most, saying:
"So what is that hairy beast doing now?"

Ren Shijia lowered his head even further, knowing that if the mysteries of heaven were not high enough, every word he uttered could potentially return to the Great Desire Path and cost him his life. Yet, he could only grit his teeth and piece together what little he knew:
"Now... we all guess that the adults want to vomit up the magic treasure inside them..."

Seeing Dangjiang frown, Renshijia quickly said:
"This matter inevitably leads to the mention of the crow. Back then, the Great Sage acted recklessly and angered the sun in the sky. Originally, he was to be killed, but the Heavenly Dao stopped him and had no choice but to nail him to the Gaoxuan Mountain in the Eastern Kingdom with a golden nail."

He took a breath, and his words became much more natural, with a touch of mystery:
"This gull is the symbol of the Twin Fire. You are all cultivators, so you know that the Twin Fire does not like separation. Therefore, the gull had no offspring, but it was stuck in one place. It had no choice but to think of a way to escape. It had two sons and a daughter. The eldest son was the Yang Star Great Sparrow, also known as the Heavenly Crow. The second daughter was from the Peacock Clan. The second son was Shaozai, also known as the Lesser Crow... Only then was it able to escape."

He whispered:

"We all guessed that Lord Peacock also possessed such a magical artifact, which is why she learned to be born from a crow, and today she has completed 99% of it, which is to say, [Yayoi Reincarnation]..."

Ren Shijia poured out all his family's secrets, and Dangjiang pondered them carefully, nodding thoughtfully and saying:
"Today... the great battle in the Central Plains is also related to this."

"Exactly!"

Dang Jiang wrote everything down, secretly thinking about contacting Li Ximing, and whispered:

"Are you currently in the Central Plains?"

At this point, Renshijia's heart began to pound, and he felt a little guilty, so he said:

"Disciple...Disciple's physical body was destroyed by the King of Wei...Now, a sliver of true spirit is still cultivating..."

Dangjiang now understood why the light representing Renshijia was large yet dim. He cursed inwardly, and with a frown, he saw Renshijia already kneeling down. He hurriedly said:
"The abbot will be here soon, very soon!"

He flashed a fawning smile and said hastily:

"Now that I have seen the form of the World Honored One, I realize that I have wasted my six lifetimes of cultivation. Now that my physical body has been destroyed, I can start over. Please allow me to meditate and cultivate in the main hall. I will go and find my fellow disciples to gather incense and spiritual power. I am sure I will succeed!"

Dangjiang knew that Ren Shijia's wealth, status, and power were far beyond what Wu Mu could match, and that he must have some more expensive methods. He nodded coldly and said:
"Go away. Only enter my Hall of Mandate when you have properly restored your physical body!"

Upon hearing this, even if Ren Shijia was innocent, he felt guilty, his face filled with shame, and he hurriedly tried to retreat. Minghui and Murong Yan, who were on either side, exchanged a thoughtful glance, and Murong Yan bowed and said:
"My clan has some powerful connections; if Fellow Daoist Ren Shi Jia needs assistance, we can lend a hand..."

Dangjiang shook his head and said:

"Not beautiful? Are all the celestial beings fools?"

Murong Yan expressed her feelings, knelt down and apologized, while Minghui whispered:
"Abbot, this disciple is willing to do my part!"

He turned around, smiled at Ren Shijia, and said:

"If I had known that you were one of our own, why would I have made things difficult for you? Just tell your family what you can do, and if you can ease the tension between the two sides and prevent him from losing face at Dayang Mountain, then come to Shanledao. That will settle things!"

Ren Shi Jia had been somewhat wary of Ming Hui from beginning to end. After all, he had killed Ming Hui's master within his own power, so it was no exaggeration to say that they were mortal enemies. He was taken aback when he suddenly heard these words.

He wasn't stupid; he immediately understood and nodded thoughtfully.

Minghui was secretly delighted.

During the last Central Plains War, he interfered and felt good, but he also knew it was a big problem. He knew that Dayang Mountain would not let him run wild, and there would be trouble sooner or later!
'It's simply a matter of who I do favors to. This way, I can avoid the trouble ahead, back down gracefully, and even impress the abbot…'

He laughed:
"You cultivated under my master in your early years, so you're practically my fellow disciple. They know I won't go too far, so even if they manage to persuade you to come back, it won't arouse suspicion!"

Ren Shijia never expected to receive such a great merit from heaven. Overjoyed, he sighed inwardly:
'This means they're treating us like family...'

Throughout his cultivation, the only person Ren Shi Jia considered a true friend was Xiao Disa. This Maha had even escorted him all the way from Dalingchuan; otherwise, he would have perished long ago. He couldn't help but sigh inwardly, saying:
"Thank you, junior brother!"

Dangjiang sat atop the mountain, his eyes shining with delight. The more he looked at Minghui, the more pleasing she became to the eye. However, calculating that the time was almost up, Liaokong had already arrived at Dayang Mountain. If they delayed any longer, and Minghui remained in meditation until the fifth hour, it would be truly undesirable. So he said:

"Five eyes!"

Lianmin hurriedly entered, and Dangjiang deliberately said:

"You've been with me for quite some time now, and I've seen all your achievements. I have a junior disciple who has made great contributions and was rewarded with a golden land. He's going to Dayang Mountain to recruit some disciples, and I've already mentioned you to him, reserving a position for you in the Mahayana. Work hard to assist him!"

Upon hearing this, Wu Mu almost burst into tears, sobbing:

"In the Void Path, I have served as a compassionate being for six hundred years! Three of the Purple Mansions I knew have died from the suffering... Now that I have received this blessing, I will repay it with my entire life!"

He didn't have such great ambitions, or rather, his ambitions at this moment were already satisfied. Wiping away his tears, he retreated, while the monks around him listened intently, their hearts trembling:

'Golden land? A reward!'

These two words are almost incompatible, yet they have no choice but to believe them. For a moment, they were all speechless and unable to speak. Seeing that the effect had been achieved, Dangjiang waved his hand and said:

"Most of you are entering Xuan Tian for the first time today, so please disperse for now. Once that Didi has finished his worldly affairs, there will naturally be matters for you to attend to!"

"Yes!"

These people, all prominent figures among the Seven Phases, could only respond like disciples here, retreating one after another, their eyes still filled with shock, clearly needing to go back and digest it slowly. Dangjiang watched them leave until the Hall of Inheritance was empty, then Nu Yan respectfully entered and stood back to the side.
Dang Jiang had to admit that although Lian Min's cultivation was lacking, he had actually performed a great service this time. He gathered all his strength, felt pleased, and laughed:

"Excellent, reward me!"
