Chapter 475

Chen Yuan urged.
"Here it comes!"
Chen Yuexi carefully put away her ID card and skipped after her brother. The two of them quickly blended into the crowd.
Bright sunlight streamed through the massive glass dome of the Duel Tower, casting dappled patterns into the bustling lobby.
The brother and sister Chen Yuan, who had just completed their registration, happened to brush past three beautiful girls with different temperaments in the bustling crowd.
All that could be heard was the long-haired girl walking at the front, frowning slightly and complaining with a helpless expression, "Hey Xie Wan'an, don't go too far, woman!"
"I've already done all the hard work for you to maintain order, and now I have to be the hard worker for the competition you're in."
"You still won't let my sister go, you insist on dragging her along to join in the fun."
Walking to the side, Xie Wan'an smiled broadly and reached out to massage the girl's shoulders and the corners of her eyes in a very ingratiating manner, saying in a fawning tone, "Oh dear, our Shiyao has worked the hardest!"
"But I'm really innocent in this matter. It was Shiqing who took the initiative to say that she wanted to come and see. It has nothing to do with me."
Hearing this, Ling Shiyao stopped and turned to look at her younger sister, asking, "Is that so, Shiqing?"
However, she noticed that her younger sister was standing on tiptoe, looking around in the crowd, her clear eyes filled with urgency, as if she was trying to find someone in the vast sea of people.
Hearing her sister's call, Ling Shiqing snapped out of her daze and quickly nodded in reply, "Ah, yes, sister, I wanted to come here myself."
Ling Shiyao looked at her younger sister with some suspicion: "Speaking of which, who are you looking for, looking around like that?"
"Do you know someone who's also here to participate in the competition today?"
Ling Shiqing's eyes darted away slightly. She tucked a strand of hair that had fallen beside her ear behind her head and whispered, "No, no, I was just looking around. You don't need to worry about it, sister."
"Huh? You look so distracted, could it be... you're looking for someone you like?"
Xie Wan'an, who was standing to the side, immediately became very interested. Her eyes lit up and she quickly moved closer to surround her, her gossip spirit burning brightly.
"No, that's not true!"
Ling Shiqing blushed and pushed Xie Wan'an away, urging him coquettishly, "Haven't we completed the registration procedures yet?"
"Hurry up and sign up, or there will be more and more people later!"
Accompanied by silvery laughter, the three of them playfully teased each other as they walked toward the registration desk.
However, in the instant she turned around, only Ling Shiqing's pretty face showed a hint of disappointment that was hard to conceal.
Was it just her imagination?
However, the moment she stepped into the building, she clearly sensed a familiar feeling in her heart.
At the reception desk on the other side of the hall, a tall, well-built young man asked gently, "Excuse me, can I register with a temporary ID card?"
"Of course you can."
The staff member who greeted us smiled and gave an affirmative answer.
"Then trouble you."
The boy nodded and then handed over a white temporary identity card.
The staff member took the white card with both hands and quickly scanned it on the system scanner.
A message popped up on the screen, and she looked up to confirm, "Excuse me, is your name Mr. You Yang?"
"Well, it's me."
You Yang responded softly.
"Okay, we'll register you for the competition right away, please wait a moment."
"It's troublesome."
You Yang wore his signature faint smile.
While waiting, he turned around, his deep gaze leisurely sweeping around the hall.
Occasionally, when he sees one or two familiar figures walking by in the bustling crowd, his eyebrows will involuntarily twitch slightly, and a gentle ripple will appear in his eyes.
"It's truly unexpected that it would end like this."
Just then, a deep voice, audible only to You Yang, quietly sounded in his ear:
"Because the power of the [Creation Dragon of All Things] has already unknowingly fixed your anchor point of existence in the world."
"Therefore, even though you personally closed that spatial rift that tore through dimensions, your existence did not disappear with it."
"Instead, by conforming to the rules, we returned to the original starting point of our destiny, and everything started anew."
You Yang chuckled inwardly and replied, "To be honest, I didn't expect it to end like this."
"But overall, seeing that everyone is safe and sound is not a bad outcome, is it?"
"That's true."
The voice in my ear agreed.
You Yang continued in his mind, half-jokingly: "If I ever encounter an opponent I can't beat in a duel, I'll just have you take my place."
"In your current state, you've become my ghost."
"In Yu-Gi-Oh!, a life without a back spirit is incomplete."
Hearing this teasing remark, Gray Wanderer's voice sounded tinged with helplessness and melancholy:
"Come on, with your current strength, I probably won't have a chance to play in my entire life."
"Haha, don't make it sound so sad,"
You Yang laughed heartily, "At worst, if we come across an interesting duel, we can take turns playing."
As You Yang was having a relaxed conversation with another version of himself in his mind, he sensed, through his keen intuition, a gaze piercing through the crowd and fixed directly on him.
He subconsciously turned his head and looked in the direction of his senses. At the end of his vision, he clearly saw three very familiar and beautiful figures.
Among them, the gaze that had been searching for him across the crowd met his in mid-air, and their eyes locked.
Upon seeing that familiar face, You Yang's heart skipped a beat.
He instinctively raised his arm, habitually raising his hand to greet the other person.
But he abruptly stopped his arm halfway up and then slowly lowered it.
You Yang smiled bitterly to himself. Yes, in this completely new timeline, they hadn't even had a chance to get to know each other yet.
However, just as You Yang was about to silently withdraw his gaze, something unexpected happened.
He saw a girl standing in the distance, her eyes slightly red, her thin lips slightly upturned as she gently parted amidst the noise.
Through the cacophony of voices, he clearly understood the silent lip reading—
"I've found you, brother."
You Yang stood there dumbfounded, unable to come to his senses for a moment.
Meanwhile, in the distance, the girl had already been pulled back by her companions who were urging her to register, and she began filling out the competition information.
Noticing the girl's unusual lingering, the other girl in the group curiously turned her head in the direction she had been looking, and naturally saw You Yang still standing there in the distance.
The other person nudged the person next to them with their elbow and asked in confusion, "Goodnight, do you know that person?"
Xie Wan'an followed the gaze and stared at You Yang for a while before finally frowning slightly and shaking her head.
Then, she touched her chin and said in a very strange tone, "I don't know him."
"But for some reason, the first time I saw him, I had a very strong feeling... like he owed me a million!"
(The End)
Author's Closing Remarks!
I'm so sorry it took so long to finish the last chapter!
Readers who have been following me all along should know that I rarely take breaks from updating unless there are special circumstances.
Although I divided it into three chapters due to word count, it is actually the content of one chapter.
I changed the original ending for two reasons, one being that I altered it for my own practical reasons.
I wrote a lot here, but I deleted it in the end because it looked like I was complaining to you guys, hahaha.
In short, it can be summed up in one sentence.
My father was hospitalized, so I went to the hospital.
I didn't bring my computer; after all, I was typing away at the hospital, so I can imagine what was going on.
This book actually did very poorly, but it was still acceptable compared to other Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfics.
I see that most of my classmates from the same period have cut up their books and run away.
I did consider it at times, but I ultimately stuck with it, for the reasons I've explained before.
As you can see, this ending feels somewhat rushed.
Because I deleted two major chapters, one was the Branding Chapter and the other was the Underworld Chapter.
I think You Yang's character is already well-developed enough, so it's time to introduce some supporting characters.
After all, if you want to establish a persona for a card game story, you can't do it without playing cards.
However, it's impossible for everyone to fight the protagonist; they also have their own factions to deal with.
So I revised the story outline for the Gemini episode and abruptly ended the duel in an attempt to salvage my pitiful number of subscribers.
Of course, in the end, it couldn't be salvaged.
However, I basically deleted all the duels between the supporting characters, and it would be difficult to write the Branding Arc and the Underworld Arc without the supporting characters playing cards.
In addition, the subscription rate was poor, so I canceled it.
So the ending seems a bit rushed, and many of the characters prepared in the early stages didn't get a chance to be used.
The villainous boss also made a brief appearance and then abruptly ended the story.
I did consider giving Gu Qingyuan a bad ending, but ultimately I rejected that option.
After all, I prefer happy endings.
