Chapter 512
Battle against Tier 5
"I can't see clearly..."
"How come your eyesight is so bad?"
Wang Mengmeng squinted her eyes. "Look closely! Quick! Look!"
Li Mengyao also squinted her eyes. In the darkness outside the street corner, there was a shadow moving.
It pushed aside the zombies crowding beneath its feet.
Under the red light, the two finally saw clearly that it was a huge shadow!
It's at least three meters tall!
It stood there, a step higher than the roof ridge next to it, its shoulders as broad as a door panel!
Li Mengyao's breath hitched: "That's...that's a three-meter-tall zombie?!"
During the pauses in conversation,
Suddenly, the giant zombie crouched down, pressed its hands to the ground, and leaped forward with a powerful burst of energy!
"boom--"
"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"
In one step, he leaped into the air!
It jumped extremely high, so high that everyone in the entire courtyard could see it under the red light!
"What is that?!"
"That's a zombie? How can it be so big?!"
"Are you kidding me? Zombies can jump that high?"
"Too close!"
"Where's Chen Yu?!"
The women were all drawn by the booming sound, and when they saw the giant zombie in the air, their expressions changed drastically!
Everyone wanted to run to the door!
But Zhang Wanyue quickly stopped her: "Don't rush, it's no use even if we go. Trust Chen Yu! Our current task is to monitor the surroundings, which will also relieve Chen Yu's burden!"
Although the women were still worried, they could only nod.
The thing paused in mid-air for a second.
Then it pressed its body down.
Bring both hands to your sides.
He started spinning around.
It kept spinning faster and faster, until finally...
I can't tell if it's a living creature or a spinning top!
"boom--"
It slammed violently into the ground!!!
Chen Yu had already grabbed Lin Yue, pulled her behind him, and retreated rapidly!
Next second,
The spot where they had just been standing collapsed instantly!
The giant zombie, with its spinning momentum, drove straight into the ground!
Not only were all the surrounding strength-type, defense-type, and speed-type zombies blown away!
Even the ground cracked in all directions from the point where it fell, forming concentric grooves. The cement, steel bars, and foundation underneath were all ripped up and flew into the sky along with the rubble!
Smoke and dust billowed up, reaching the height of a one-story building in the blink of an eye!
Most of the street was covered in this dust!
Lin Yue was pulled back more than ten meters by Chen Yu, her expression one of shock: "So strong..."
The thing moved again in the smoke!
It stood up from the bottom of the pit, bent its knees, and leaped up a second time!
This time he jumped even higher than before, rising directly from the smoke into the air, spinning upwards!
Chen Yu looked up at the thing that was spinning higher and higher, and fell silent!
Do zombies have special abilities?
That's right.
Zombies that can use skills are at least level five or higher!
The most powerful zombie he had ever seen in his previous life was only at level five!
And now, at this seemingly ordinary station, he's run into one right from the start!
Power type!
Fifth rank!
"This is only the ninth stop..."
He shook his head, somewhat helplessly.
However, the difference is that in their previous life, their entire convoy could only flee in panic.
But now, he is an awakener with SSSS-level talent.
In mid-air,
The thing spun faster and faster, churning the red light into chaos!
Lin Yue raised her head and her hand, and all the crystal chips around her flew together, stacking one by one, twisting one by one, and condensing into a long crystal cone!
That awl was longer than a person, completely translucent, with its tip tapering to a single point!
She frowned, her expression earnest: "Brother, I won't let anything happen to you..."
finished,
She stretched out her right hand.
Grab that crystal cone,
We must move forward!
But the next second—
"boom!"
A shadow darted out from beside her in an instant!
It's incredibly fast!
It was Chen Yu!
Since then,
Two shadows, one from top to bottom, and one from bottom to top!
It crashed straight into them!
"boom!"
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
The ghost-headed blade, shrouded in purple mist, slashed horizontally at the zombie!
There was a loud "rip" sound!
The blade sank, and purple energy seeped into it through the blade's edge!
Under the red light
A burst of crimson light erupted!
The zombie was still spinning, but it had been cleaved in two by a single blow. One half was attached to two arms, and the other half to two legs, each flying off in a different direction!
"Thump!"
"Thump!"
Two sounds, and the two halves hit the ground!
Smoke and dust rose again!
Chen Yu landed right next to Lin Yue!
He fanned the dust off his face: "Don't be impulsive next time. If you had gone that way just now, you might have died."
This is a fact.
A fifth-tier strength-type zombie is not something a regular-type handheld crystal can withstand.
If Lin Yue were to deal with this alone,
If we're being rational, we can simply fly a kite and let it die.
Instead of preparing to perish together, as we did just now.
Lin Yue's expression was somewhat unnatural. She whispered "okay," then muttered, "Wasn't I afraid you'd die...?"
Chen Yu heard it clearly, and felt somewhat helpless.
"I won't die."
"oh."
She responded and bent down to kick a stone at her feet.
Chen Yu walked back to where he had been and saw five black crystal cores on the ground.
"That's a huge loss."
"Killing five zombies is much easier than killing one of these things."
Chen Yu bent down and picked it up.
The information came to mind.
[Special Zombie Crystal Core - Black]
[Description: A unique corpse crystal found only in Liuhe City, formed from the collapse of a fifth-order corpse. It is larger than ordinary corpse crystals, entirely black, and clean inside, without a single impurity. Looking through the surface, the slight fluctuation similar to an unstable black tide is much more pronounced; upon closer inspection, it can be seen pulsating extremely slowly.]
[Effect: Mission settlement material; one is equivalent to twenty ordinary zombie crystal cores]
Chen Yu looked at the five black crystal cores in his palm.
This was an unexpected delight.
One is equivalent to twenty, so five are equivalent to one hundred.
Based on this number, it's actually not bad.
But he still felt a little awkward.
Ordinary crystal cores can be accumulated slowly, at most requiring a little physical effort and time.
But this thing is much more dangerous.
Lin Yue leaned closer, looking somewhat curious.
Chen Yu handed her the last one.
Lin Yue took it, clutched it in her hand, held it up to her eyes, and her eyes lit up: "It's worth that much? No, wait, it still feels like a bit of a rip-off, brother, what do you think?"
Chen Yu nodded, his brows twitching slightly.
In my perception, something felt off again, very off, very off.
