The Journey of Express Train 5972
Chapter 13 The Journey of Express Train 5972
"You're saying it too late!"
Robin looked wearily at the hairy spider that had died tragically at his feet, then speechlessly looked at the black boy with long Jamaican hair.
"No, I just let it out, no."
"How much money can I pay you back?"
"Fine, I was also at fault; I didn't keep a proper eye on it!"
"So you're saying I don't have to pay you back for stepping on the spider?"
Seeing the black man nod in the head, Robin mischievously added, "Alright, now let's talk about how much compensation you owe me!"
"Compensate you?" Lee Jordan asked in surprise.
"These leather shoes are very expensive, and the cleaning fees aren't cheap either. Also, I was just startled by a hairy spider that suddenly appeared, and I'm still feeling uneasy. You have to compensate me for my emotional distress!"
"Lee Jordan, I can vouch for that, those shoes he was wearing were really expensive, extremely expensive!" Ron chimed in.
Lee Jordan rubbed his hands in bewilderment, stammering and unable to speak. He thought the other person was right, but he had no money in his pocket!
"I'm so sorry, I... can I write an IOU?"
It's hard to imagine that Quidditch commentators can stumble and stammer!
After having his fill of teasing, Robin generously said, "Alright, just like you waived my compensation for the spider, I'll waive your compensation for my cleaning fees and emotional distress. Let me introduce myself, my name is Robin, Robin Lestrange!"
"Lee, Lee Jordan, you were joking when you asked me for compensation, weren't you?"
Clearly, he's come to his senses now.
Robin shrugged. "What else can we do? Ron, we need to hurry, or we won't be able to find any empty seats even when we get to the last carriage!"
"clear!"
Ron bent down and gripped the handles tightly, like an old-fashioned tractor, making a sputtering sound to signal others to make way, and then charged forward with all his might!
Finally, the three of them found an empty private compartment near the back of the car!
After putting away their luggage, it was time for introductions. Ron was surprised to find that the black-haired, green-eyed boy was none other than the legendary Harry Potter. After learning about Harry's situation in the Dursleys' house, he immediately felt a sense of kinship.
"I've never used anything new. My uniform is a modified version of Bill's old robe, my wand is Charlie's unwanted one, most of my textbooks come from Fred and George, and even my pet is one Percy threw away!"
Ron pulled the rat, Spotted, out of his pocket, and became more and more upset as he talked.
"No, you have something new. Look, it was prepared a long time ago. Open it and take a look!"
Ron took the box and opened it. Inside was a brand-new quill pen and an unopened bottle of ink. "This is from the Tercher family? It's expensive, Robin. Thank you!"
"You're welcome!"
Robin originally wanted to give the "Artillery Team" co-branded cannon as a gift, but after thinking for three seconds, he decisively ran to the school supplies store.
Beep beep! Beep beep!
The steam train slowly glided forward, and Robin and his friends clung to the windows, waving goodbye to Ms. Molly and Ginny.
Beep beep! Beep beep!
The Hogwarts Express departed the station, weaving through the mountains, past meadows dotted with grazing cattle and sheep, and lush, verdant fields, all rushing past the group.
A little after 12 noon, a woman with two dimples when she smiled opened the door to their private room. "Kids, it's lunchtime. Would you like to buy something?"
Ms. Molly prepared sandwiches for her five children, but after sitting out all morning, they were cold and hard, and the taste was... well...
In the end, Robin and Harry, now with money in their pockets, bought a whole bunch of snacks and toys, such as the Licorice Wand, Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, and Chocolate Frog!
Robin tore open the Chocolate Frog packaging and took out the picture card inside!
Sharp, penetrating deep blue eyes, crescent-shaped glasses, a crooked nose, and long beard and hair!
It's definitely Albus Dumbledore!
"There are words on the back of the picture!" Harry exclaimed in surprise!
Robin turned the picture over and read it aloud word by word: "Albus Dumbledore, the current headmaster of Hogwarts. His contributions include defeating the Dark Wizard, discovering twelve uses for dragon blood, his alchemical achievements with Nicolas Flamel, and his love of chamber music and the game of ten-pillars."
Robin rubbed the words "Nicolas Flamel" with his fingertips, but what he was thinking about was the Philosopher's Stone, the Philosopher's Stone that Voldemort coveted, the Philosopher's Stone with the magical power to grant immortality. He really wanted to throw it into the central axis of the giant Rubik's Cube!
dong dong!dong dong!
A knock on the door shattered his illusions. "Come in!"
After the door to the private room was pushed open, a round-faced, round-eyed little boy, with tears in his eyes, asked, "Excuse me, have you seen a toad?"
Upon glancing at the three people inside the private room, who all shook their heads indicating they hadn't seen it before, Neville burst into tears, wailing, "Waaah, I... I lost it again! Why, why does it always want to leave me?"
Robin: ...
While I sympathize with your situation, could you please stop acting like you got dumped by your girlfriend?
Luo Bin took out a crystal ball, and while touching the ball, he mumbled incantations. After finishing, his body twitched violently, as if he had seen a bizarre sight.
"Don't cry, I've studied divination. I see that your toad will return to you before you even reach the gates of Hogwarts!"
"real?"
Neville sniffed and asked.
Are you questioning my divination abilities?
"No, no, thank you!"
After Neville left, Harry exclaimed, "Robin, you're amazing! You can even do divination!"
"No, he won't!"
Even three flavors of Bibi Beans couldn't shut Ron up.
"You lied to him?"
"I wasn't lying to him. When we arrived at Hogwarts, the people who picked us up asked if we had left anything behind or lost anything. They would help us look for it before we officially entered the castle, which was much faster than him asking each box one by one!"
"Oh, I see!" Harry nodded in sudden understanding.
"Let's stop talking about toads, I'll perform a magic trick for you two, one that Fred and George taught me!"
Ron placed Scabbers on the table, gripped his wand tightly, and said, "Daisies, sweet cream, and sunshine—turn this silly, fat mouse yellow."
Robin felt that the word "silly" seemed more suitable for Ron. That chubby, gray rat was not silly at all; on the contrary, it was extremely intelligent.
Scabbers is Peter Pettigrew's Animagus form, and he is a Death Eater through and through.
He betrayed his friends Potter and Lily, framed Sirius Black for the crime, and cut off one of his fingers to pretend that he was killed by Sirius while chasing him. He was regarded as a hero by the wizarding world and was awarded the Order of Merlin, First Class.
Robin stared intently at the gray rat's right paw, which was missing a split claw. He was puzzled. It was just a broken finger. How could he be so sure that Peter Pettigrew was dead? Could the remaining head, torso, and limbs have been eaten by wolves?
Ron noticed Robin's gaze on Scabbers' right paw and explained, "Robin, it's no use. Dad and Mom have tried many methods, but none of them can make the missing claw on Scabbers' right paw grow back."
