"This is what I have to do." The captain's tone was terrifyingly calm. "From the first day Captain America was born, my mission has been to give people hope. Saving them is my duty, but I also want them to see that no matter what, we must never stop fighting, we must never give up hope, and we must never succumb to any evil. This is my true mission!"

……

Steve jumped onto the stage and punched the speaker in the face.

The speaker stumbled back two steps, and the virtual mask on his face swayed.

"Hahahaha." He wasn't angry or accusatory; instead, he laughed wildly and ripped off the virtual face, revealing the purple mask underneath.

"How many times has this happened?" Zemo, revealing his true colors, made no attempt to hide his madness. "The great Captain America defeated Hydra?"

Steve watched indifferently as Zemo took the rapier and shield from one of his agents.

This didn't terrify him, but at this moment, what truly terrified him was the silence that had descended upon the audience.

Is this still not working?

“I lost, but did you win?” Zemo said as he charged toward him.

“Alright, the big guys are coming. There’s one last scene to go.” Tony put on his armor and shrugged. “I’m going out first. Remember to come back and support me. I have a feeling that guy wants to take this opportunity to beat me up.”

“You really deserve a beating,” Pym laughed.

Tony gave Pym the middle finger behind him.

"Alright, let's see how it goes, if it doesn't work we'll..." Pym collapsed to the ground.

“The Avengers have been isolated, and the plan is proceeding smoothly.” Banner took out a concealed communicator, looked at Pym lying on the ground, and said expressionlessly.

“Although it was just a rough search…” Reed took a deep breath, unsure whether he was trying to reassure himself or to give the others present a chance to prepare, “this planet may no longer have any living creatures left.”

"There's no living thing here?!" the other heroes present exclaimed in unison.

“Plants, animals, or the Kree…” Star-Lord began with difficulty, “Unlike Reed, before we assembled, I had already conducted a more detailed scan of the entire planet using the Dawn. All living things on this planet have disappeared.”

"How is this possible?" Nova exclaimed as she landed. "Who could possibly wipe out all life on an entire planet? There are absolutely no signs of battle here. How could this be done?"

“So, this is the most terrifying thing.” Reed looked around at the empty Kree buildings. “The fact that the Kree could all disappear without warning suggests that there is a terrifying force behind it.”

I'm sorry, I've given up on American comics.

First of all, I apologize to everyone; I really don't want to continue writing this book.

I haven't updated this book in a long time, and I've been thinking about why I wrote it in the first place.

Looking back at everything now, I really feel like I acted like a clown.

The root of the problem is actually quite simple: what exactly is American comics?

When I was 6 years old.

My mom showed me Christopher Reeve's Superman at home using a Dōman VCD player that's long been obsolete.

At that time, I knew nothing about Marvel, DC, or even that it was adapted from a comic book.

But so what? For kids back then, that was already pretty appealing.

Although it seems like a very cliché story now, that was my origin for American comics.

Then, that was the end of it.

Unlike many people whose superhero origins are based on Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man, I wasn't interested in Spider-Man when the early trilogy was released.

But before that, I had already watched many early American animated works such as Voltron and Transformers through television or now-defunct video rental stores.

Even back then, I still didn't know about American comic book companies, nor did I know that Superman was called a superhero.

That was my true introduction to superhero comics.

It's the 2005 version of Fantastic Four.

I don't remember exactly how it happened, but after that incident, I suddenly learned about Marvel and DC.
