Chapter 2

: The Blood of the Qilin Resurrected!

"Bang!"

The ward door was violently kicked open.

The attending physician on duty rushed in with two nurses in a great hurry.

The monitor's alarm just now almost blew the roof off the nurses' station. The heart rate soared to over 200, and the blood pressure was frighteningly high. They all thought this patient was finally going to die from exhaustion.

"Quick! Prepare the defibrillator! Adrenaline..."

The doctor's shouts stopped abruptly the moment he saw the hospital bed.

It felt like being choked by an invisible hand.

The hospital bed was empty.

The blankets were thrown to the floor, and the sheets were covered in shocking black bloodstains, emitting a nauseating stench.

And that was Jiang Han, a terminal cancer patient who should have been on the verge of death and unable to even turn over.

He is currently standing shirtless in front of the window.

The moonlight shone on him, outlining the perfect lines of his back muscles, like a marble sculpture.

Although he was still rather thin, every muscle seemed to contain explosive power, rising and falling slightly with his breathing.

Especially his left shoulder.

The doctor rubbed his eyes, thinking he was seeing things.

There seemed to be a dark bluish-black shadow there, like a lurking wild beast, but it seemed to disappear into the skin the moment the light came on.

"Jiang... Jiang Han?"

The doctor tentatively called out, his voice trembling, "You...you're experiencing a final burst of energy before death?"

Aside from a final burst of energy before death, there is no medical explanation for this zombie-like phenomenon.

Jiang Han slowly turned around.

His eyes were calm, so calm it was unsettling.

That look in his eyes was definitely not the look a patient would give a doctor.

It's more like a top predator that has just finished eating, sizing up a few little white rabbits that have suddenly wandered into its territory.

The doctor felt a strange sense of suffocation as that gaze swept over him, and cold sweat instantly broke out on his back.

"I'm being discharged from the hospital."

Jiang Han's voice wasn't loud, but it carried an undeniable coldness and hardness.

"Discharged from the hospital? Are you crazy!"

The nurse screamed, pointing to the blood on the floor, "You're vomiting blood like this! This is internal bleeding! Lie back down right now, or you won't make it out of this door..."

Jiang Han ignored her chatter and casually grabbed the metal bed rail next to him. It was a guardrail made of solid stainless steel to prevent patients from falling out of bed.

He just wanted to use the leverage to get the clothes over.

But the moment his fingers touched the steel pipe, the power brought by the Qilin bloodline went out of control.

"Click—"

A sickening metallic creaking sound rang out.

Under the horrified gaze of the doctors and nurses.

The stainless steel pipe, as thick as a wrist, deflated like putty between Jiang Han's fingers!

Five deep fingerprints were clearly left on it!

Dead silence.

The entire ward fell into a deathly silence.

The nurse opened her mouth wide, as if she could fit a light bulb inside.

The doctor's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets, his Adam's apple bobbed violently, and he swallowed hard with a "gulp" sound.

This...this is human strength?

Isn't this person about to die?

Can a dying person really squeeze a steel pipe with their bare hands?!

If you were to grab someone by the neck...

The doctor instinctively covered his neck, took two steps back, and bumped into the wall.

Jiang Han glanced at the deformed steel pipe in his hand and frowned slightly.

The force was a bit too much; I haven't gotten used to it yet.

He released his grip, letting the broken railing crash to the ground with a thud, a crash that also struck the hearts of everyone present.

He picked up the blood-stained hospital gown, casually wiped the blood off his body, and then put on his own hoodie.

The movements were swift and fluid.

"Are you still going to stop me?"

Jiang Han asked casually as he unzipped his jacket.

"No... I won't stop you..." The doctor shook his head desperately, his expression more painful than tears. "Please... please take care... take care of your health..."

Pay attention to your health my ass!

With his monstrous physical abilities, do we really need to be careful? The thing to be careful about is passersby not provoking him!

Without another word, Jiang Han picked up his worn-out backpack and strode out of the ward.

As they passed the nurses' station, everyone seemed frozen in place, watching helplessly as this "near-death patient" disappeared into the elevator with an aura of menace.

……

Back to that cramped rented room.

Jiang Han threw her bag on the sofa and went straight into the bathroom.

Cold water was poured over his head, washing away the lingering heat in his body.

In the mirror, the man was tall and slender, and his original sickly paleness had faded, replaced by a cold, jade-like texture.

The Qilin tattoo on his left shoulder appeared even more ferocious and vivid under the washing of hot water, its beastly eyes seeming as if they might come to life at any moment.

Jiang Han reached out and touched the tattoo, feeling a burning sensation on his fingertips.

"system."

With a thought, a semi-transparent panel appeared before my eyes.

[Host: Jiang Han]

[Bloodline: Qilin Bloodline (Initial Awakening: 3%)]

Strength: 28 (The average person's limit is 10)

【Speed: 25】

[Endurance: 30]

[Lifespan: 30 days remaining (limited by the Qilin's blood pressure, death is temporarily delayed; continued exploration of forbidden zones is necessary to obtain "vitality" to prolong life).]

30 days.

Looking at that number, Jiang Han felt not panic, but rather an unprecedented excitement.

enough.

Even if it's just for one day, as long as he can live in this peak state, it's better than him lingering on a sickbed for a hundred years!

He dried himself off and changed into a black windbreaker.

Then, he made a fist in the air with his right hand.

"Buzz!"

The air jolted suddenly.

A long, black, and ancient-looking sword appeared out of thin air in his hand.

Black Gold Ancient Sword!

The blade was incredibly heavy, weighing over a hundred pounds, causing Jiang Han's wrist to sink slightly.

The scabbard was engraved with intricate and obscure cloud and thunder patterns, exuding a sense of ancient vicissitudes and warfare.

"Clang—"

Jiang Han flicked his thumb, and the long sword was drawn half an inch from its sheath.

A flash of cold light appeared, and the temperature in the entire cramped bathroom plummeted instantly!

That's the murderous aura of a truly bloodthirsty warrior.

Jiang Han stared at that cold light, the corners of his mouth slowly turning up, revealing a bloodthirsty smile.

"Old buddy."

Are you hungry?

"Don't rush, I'll take you to drink blood now."

He carried the ancient sword on his back and wrapped it with a piece of black cloth.

Then I took out my phone and opened the live streaming app that had been overrun by haters.

His fingers flew across the keyboard as he edited a new live stream announcement.

There was no sob story, no explanation.

It was only a short line of text, yet it carried an overwhelming stench of blood:

[Final stop: Kunlun Death Valley.]

If I can't get in, I'll die.

[He went in, and God died.]

Click to send.

Jiang Han turned off her phone, pushed open the door, and disappeared into the vast night.
