Chapter 135
Combat
Looking at the three simple lines of information that appeared before him, Li En felt that the Eye of Quantification had quietly consumed another bit of magic power.
Li En raised an eyebrow as he saw the Silver Wolf King's name displayed in yellow in the Eye of Quantification.
"Your magic power level is two points higher than mine?"
But Li En was not afraid.
According to the logic he summarized earlier, the color of the name displayed by the Quantitative Eye is significant.
The yellow name signifies that the two are evenly matched in strength.
Below yellow are green and gray.
Lee Eun can easily defeat the enemy with the green name.
He had only ever seen the name "gray" on some insects before.
After Li En discovered that the Eye of Quantification consumed magic power, he stopped using the skill to watch the bugs play around.
"Since my Quantitative Eye was upgraded to the Gold tier, the information I've seen about equipment and monsters is the most complete ever."
Li En vaguely felt that her skill should have a specific focus.
While he was thinking, his eyes never left the Silver Wolf King.
The Silver Wolf King felt his pride was greatly challenged when he saw a kitten daring to look down on him from such a high position.
The Silver Wolf King opened its mouth and spat out a crescent-shaped wind blade that spun and whistled as it rushed toward Li En's location.
"No, Warcraft spells don't have a cast animation?"
Li En was startled, not expecting the Silver Wolf King's attack to have such a short wind-up.
He hurriedly dodged to the side branches, but the wind blades still managed to turn and lock onto him.
Li En dared not be careless and conjured a vine shield in front of him to block the wind blades.
This is not a new spell, but rather a special application of Entangling Magic by Li En.
Li En has put a lot of effort into practicing this magic, and now he can use it at will, with many applications that are different from the original magic.
A large number of vines erupted in front of Li En, ultimately neutralizing the power of the wind blades.
Taking advantage of the break, Li En also cast a resurrection spell on himself.
This magic can not only heal injuries, but also relieve fatigue and persistent pain; it is a continuous magic.
With this magic, Li En can deal with battles more easily.
Seeing that Li En had blocked his attack, the Silver Wolf King's eyes changed slightly, but he did not immediately launch another attack.
Li En also stared at the Silver Wolf King, wanting to see how it would react next.
"This guy is obviously thinking, are all wild magical beasts this smart?" Li En frowned.
If all monsters were like the Silver Wolf King, the disaster caused by magical beasts would probably be much greater than Li En had anticipated.
The Silver Wolf King turned to look at the corpse on the ground.
These were all wolves that Li En had killed before.
But the Silver Wolf King didn't seem particularly angry when he saw his companion's corpse.
Instead, after staring at Li En for another moment, he let out a howl and turned to leave.
Judging from their posture, they didn't intend to care about Li En anymore.
The wolves remained enraged, their gazes towards Li En filled with a desire to tear him to pieces.
But they all lowered their heads, tucked their tails, and followed the silver wolf king.
Seeing this, Li En was greatly surprised.
This was completely beyond his imagination of the intelligence of wild beasts.
Indeed, continuing to target Lee En is a losing proposition.
Regardless of Li En's strength, even if the wolves ultimately defeated Li En, they wouldn't have much meat left to eat.
The Silver Wolf King realized that this was a deal that was bound to lose money.
The earlier probing exchange made the Silver Wolf King realize that he wasn't entirely confident he could defeat the cat before him.
"This wolf king is indeed a qualified leader," Luna suddenly interjected.
This guy was just pretending to be asleep, clinging to Li En without moving.
"Unfortunately, it must die here," Li En said coldly.
Luna glanced at the direction the wolf king had led the pack away and nodded: "Indeed, they still intend to move towards Yellowstone Village."
Li En smiled slightly and quietly added, "It's my mission that's focused on it."
With a few leaps, he moved from the trees and quickly caught up with the wolf pack, immediately unleashing his binding spell.
The seemingly uninterested Silver Wolf King instantly dodged the vines beneath its feet, then turned and let out an angry howl at Li En.
A strong wind nearly blew Li En off the tree.
The wolves under the Silver Wolf King charged at the tree trunk where Li En was standing, as if their lives depended on it.
Those strong wolf guards easily snapped a rather slender tree in a few blows.
The cunning Silver Wolf King, seemingly intending to let things rest with Li En, was actually waiting for an opportunity to counterattack.
Li En smiled, not too surprised.
After being amazed by the Silver Wolf King's wisdom for the first time, he had already placed the other party on the same level as himself.
"Luna, help me deal with the other wolves, I'll handle the wolf king, how about that?" Li En suggested.
"Melina only asked me to protect you," Luna replied lazily, clearly not wanting to do any more work.
"That's good." Li En smiled slightly.
The next moment, he was swept away by the strong wind and fell down the tree.
The wolf pack went completely mad and relentlessly pursued Li En.
But in fact, Lee Eun herself had long wanted to test her abilities.
Although the students in the academy all say he is a monster.
But Li En really wanted to figure out exactly how much he was lacking compared to Warcraft.
Seeing Li En fall from the tree, the wolf pack became even more agitated and chased after him, biting him.
Before he even landed, several gaping, blood-red mouths were already waiting for him below.
Li En looked at the wide-open wolfish kisses and instead sneered.
The next moment, splinters made these wolf cubs who had rashly opened their mouths pay the price.
Some unlucky souls couldn't even close their mouths, suffering excruciating pain from the splinters stuck in their throats, but soon enough, the splinters pierced their heads completely, killing them instantly.
Li En landed lightly on a wolf carcass, then flipped over and landed in an open space.
He gently exhaled a breath of stale air, feeling the residual magic power within his body.
Li En didn't want to use up all her magic power, so she planned to recover while fighting, maintaining the ability to escape at any time.
Thanks to the Magic Perception skill, his mana regeneration speed is quite fast.
But Li En took the initiative to come down mainly because he wanted to test his physical strength after being tempered by spiritual energy.
Seeing Li En so close, even though he had killed countless of his own kind, the wolves still swarmed forward.
Li En glanced around, taking in all the movements of the wolves in the surrounding area.
"Fortunately, the speed is more than enough for me to react."
After carefully observing his opponent, Li En lunged forward and swung his claws forcefully, tearing open the throat of a wolf and splattering its blood all over the ground.
Although his claws weren't long enough, they were sharp enough, and the force of the grip was strong enough to kill him with a single blow.
Having dealt with the wolf in one strike, Li En couldn't help but wag his tail, unable to hide his excitement.
Compared to magic, close combat made his blood rush and his heart beat faster.
This is a completely different combat experience.
The sense of accomplishment from casting spells and watching enemies fall one by one to your calm calculations is indeed satisfying.
But in close combat, Li Enneng felt a primal, instinctive exhilaration.
This was an experience that magic had never given him.
Li En let out a loud meow and charged into the wolf pack.
"The battle was awesome!"
