Chapter 6742

Chopsticks Have Become Weapons Too

Zhang Peng's son was held back by his mother. His anger and resentment surged in his chest like a tidal wave, but he could not break through the dam of reason.

He opened his mouth, his lips moved, and his throat seemed to be blocked by something, only able to make hoarse sounds.

His face was frighteningly pale, like frozen mutton that had just thawed at a stall, devoid of any color.

Large beads of sweat dripped from his forehead, hitting the ground with a soft yet distinct sound that seemed particularly jarring in the tense atmosphere.

Leopard seemed a bit tired of cursing. He shook the oily sweat off his palms, which gleamed greasy under the light.

He gestured with his chin toward his henchmen behind him and said menacingly.

"Let's go. By this time tomorrow, I want to see a million here!"

"If you lose even a fraction, you'll be in big trouble!"

After saying that, he turned around and prepared to leave, his arrogant back seemingly declaring his absolute control over this territory.

Just as he turned to leave, a cold voice suddenly rang out behind him. The voice was like sharp ice shards in the dead of winter, hitting everyone's eardrums directly and making them shiver.

"Did I let you go?"

Leopard Brother's steps suddenly froze on the spot, as if he had been nailed to the greasy ground by an invisible hand. Even the gold chain around his neck stopped swaying, as if time itself had stood still at that moment.

He slowly turned around, his eyes filled with doubt and wariness, and only then did he notice the young man who had been silent in the corner, namely Xiao Chen.

When he swaggered up to Xiao Chen, a strong smell of sweat and cheap liquor hit him, causing Xiao Chen to frown slightly.

Leopard looked down at Xiao Chen, his Adam's apple bobbing beneath his shiny scalp, his eyes filled with astonishment and furious anger at being offended.

He widened his eyes and asked fiercely.

"Hey kid, who were you talking to just now?"

The voice seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth, carrying an endless threat.

Xiao Chen remained calm and unhurried, as if everything around him was irrelevant.

He slowly picked up a piece of roasted eggplant with his chopsticks. The eggplant was golden in color, and the oil dripped slowly down its surface.

He brought it to his lips, took a small bite, savored it, and a look of satisfaction appeared on his face, as if he hadn't said those provocative words just now.

A few seconds later, he slowly raised his eyes to look at Brother Leopard. His gaze was as calm as a bottomless lake, but his tone was flat and carried a chilling undertone.

"If I don't talk to you, am I supposed to talk to that piece of scrap metal hanging around your neck?"

He deliberately emphasized the word "scrap metal," as if mocking Brother Leopard's vanity and ignorance.

The air seemed to be instantly gripped by an invisible hand, solidifying to the point of being suffocating. Only the crackling of the charcoal on the grill remained, its sound particularly jarring in the deathly silence, like a warning bell for the impending storm.

The proprietress's eyes widened, and a look of horror spread across her face. She couldn't help but let out a short gasp, her voice filled with fear and worry.

She instinctively wanted to rush over and cover Xiao Chen's mouth, as if that could stop the impending disaster.

But before she could take a step, Zhang Peng's son grabbed her arm tightly.

"Mom, don't go over there. If anyone should go, it'll be me!"

Zhang Peng's son's voice was extremely low, as if afraid of disturbing something terrifying, yet it carried an unprecedented fear. His body trembled slightly, his eyes filled with conflict and struggle, but even more so with a protective instinct towards his mother.

"He graduated from the Ancient City Martial Arts School. He used to break the legs of three people in fights!"

"I'll go, I've at least practiced with Dad for a few days!"

He gritted his teeth, as if he had made up his mind, and tried to break free from his mother's hand, but she held on even tighter.

Leopard Brother's face twitched violently, looking like an enraged wild beast.

No one had ever dared to speak to him like that before. Xiao Chen's words were like a sharp knife, piercing his pride.

He laughed in a fit of rage, his laughter filled with sinister and ruthless intent. The sound echoed through the quiet night market, sending chills down everyone's spine.

He suddenly stretched out his large hand, like an eagle's claw, and grabbed at Xiao Chen's collar, cursing viciously.

"Baby, you're looking for death!"

"Dare to scold me?"

"Kneel down and kowtow to me ten times now, and I'll only break one of your arms, just to teach you a lesson!"

His fist, accompanied by the whooshing sound of wind and a nauseating stench, was about to slap Xiao Chen across the face.

That fist was big and hard, like a solid rock. If it hit your face, you'd be bruised and swollen.

Xiao Chen's gaze was fixed on the blurry tattoo on his fist. The design was twisted and bizarre, like a coiled venomous snake, exuding an evil aura.

Just as Leopard's palm was about to touch his cheek, he suddenly raised his right arm with lightning speed.

"Snapped!"

A crisp sound rang out in the quiet night market, like a thunderclap.

He slammed his palm heavily on the greasy table, causing it to tremble slightly and splatter oil.

At the same time, a pair of bamboo chopsticks on the table were jolted into the air by the force, drawing two long, thin arcs in the dim light, like two sharp sword shadows.

Almost at the same instant the chopsticks flew up, Xiao Chen's right hand shot out like a lightning bolt slicing through the night sky.

His movements were so fast they were dazzling, and he gripped the middle of the two chopsticks with perfect precision.

The two bamboo chopsticks seemed to come alive in his hands. With a sudden twist of his wrist, and using the momentum from slamming the table, they were sent forward like arrows.

The tips of the bamboo chopsticks gleamed coldly in the dim light, carrying a sharp and aggressive aura as they pierced straight towards Brother Leopard's outstretched palm!
At that moment, Brother Leopard's large, menacing hand was already in front of Xiao Chen. The force of the wind made the stray hairs on Xiao Chen's forehead flutter up, like withered grass trembling in the wind.

Xiao Chen's eyes sharpened, his gaze like a star in a cold night, revealing determination and resolve.

He quickly clenched his left fist, his knuckles turning white from the force, and slammed it down hard to meet Brother Leopard's fist!
"boom!"

A dull thud of bones colliding rang out simultaneously with the sizzling sound of oil popping on the grill, sounding particularly jarring in the quiet alleyway, like a heavy hammer striking everyone's heart.

Zhang Peng's son was startled by the sudden noise and instinctively shielded the proprietress behind him, closing his eyes tightly. However, his curiosity compelled him to peek through his fingers.

With a nimble flick of his wrist, Xiao Chen pierced Leopard Brother's hand like a sharp blade, pinning his hand to the folding wooden table beside him! (End of Chapter)
