Strictly speaking, earth in the Five Elements is not a basic element, but rather plays a role in neutralizing, bridging, and buffering the other four elements: metal, wood, water, and fire.

The saying that the Four Symbols and Five Elements all rely on Earth is based on this principle. Earth in the Five Elements represents the harmony and integration of Metal, Wood, Water, and Fire.

Therefore, in summary, according to the Four Symbols, the Azure Dragon belongs to the wind, and the White Tiger belongs to the earth.

According to the Five Elements theory, the Azure Dragon belongs to Wood, and the White Tiger belongs to Metal.
