Chapter 225

"A cover-up, a blatant cover-up."

"Embezzling public funds is one thing, but to falsify data is another! That's enough!"

……

"Quiet! Anyone who doesn't keep quiet, believe me, I'll shove a black hole bomb at your doorstep!" Nyarlathotep shouted, hands on her hips, and immediately everything fell silent.

Nodding, Nyarko gestured with her small hand, "Continue."

Fourth place in the list of outstanding employees - Black Pharaoh

...a group of people stared in disbelief...

Fifth on the list of outstanding employees - The Faceless God

...a large flock of crows flew by...

"Alright, that concludes our once-in-a-lifetime employee recognition ceremony for all the outstanding employees," Nyaruko said without batting an eye. "And then—that's it. Everyone, go home!"

"Protest! This is unfair!" The evil gods, realizing what was happening, roared angrily, and the entire hall instantly transformed into a bustling marketplace once again.

"Oh!" Nyarlathotep drawled. "Anyone who wants to protest, raise your hands!" In a flurry, as soon as she finished speaking, a whole bunch of hands shot up. "Eh—okay! Okay!" Nyarlathotep clapped her hands, then reached under her group of hands, pulled out a metal sphere, weighed it in her hand, and tossed it towards the group of raised hands. "So what if you protest? Get lost!"

As the ball was thrown, Xia Dun's eyelids twitched instantly; he had a bad feeling. Without a word, he decisively jumped up from his chair, turned around, and ran.

With a whoosh, a black figure instantly overtook Ciel—it was the penguin. It seemed Ciel wasn't the only one trying to escape; the penguin ran away too. Moreover, Ciel clearly heard the penguin yelling as it ran, "Damn it, a zero-deployment bomb!"

……

The sphere flashed by, and in an instant, vast swathes of evil gods were forcibly and instantly wiped out before they could even utter a sound. Of course, they weren't truly dead; their information was simply erased, and they could simply go home and reload their save files.

As for the rest, especially those evil gods who had just escaped the blast radius, including Sharl, they looked at each other and then immediately gave Nyaruko, this year's outstanding employee, a very enthusiastic round of applause, clapping their hands as they ran even further away.

At this moment, the evil gods once again recalled the horror of being tricked by Nyarlathotep, and congratulated Nyarlathotep on once again achieving the feat of killing her own people and becoming a god.

That's wonderful news!

At dawn, and as the title suggests, this book is finally finished. Of course, there will be some side stories and such later, so I hope everyone will support the author's new book.

Author's Closing Remarks

This book was started last October and completed on August 11th today, taking ten months to write. Looking back, I honestly can't believe I've written over 8 million words. Frankly, even I find it hard to believe I actually persevered. Because I started writing this book as a hobby, it did start to falter at the beginning. This was evident from the criticisms from fans of the original novel, as I was still a working professional at the time and only had a little time to write in the evenings, with very little time for research.

Then in March, because writing books was more profitable than what I could earn working hard, and because I was facing difficulties at my regular job and was likely to be fired, I decided to stay home full-time. From then on, I started updating three times a day, and occasionally even five times. Thanks to all the readers who have supported me, I've been able to truly make writing my main job, and my family no longer objects—here, I want to say thank you to all the readers who have accompanied this book this far!

Oh, by the way, the author's new book has been uploaded, called "The Hunter's Dream Journey," which has a similar theme to this book. I hope everyone can continue to support it and give it a try. Thank you. I'm also shamelessly begging for some recommendations and monthly tickets for the new book.

The Dark Dimension, which should have belonged to Dormammu, the lord of the Dark Dimension. But now, after the corrupted Titan Sargeras personally burned this ancient wizard who had sworn to the Dark Dimension to ashes with fel fire, this place has come under the control of the Burning Legion.

Within the colossal emerald vortex, the true form of the Star Soul Titan had already retreated, instead of foolishly continuing to obstruct the passage. But it didn't matter; the tunnel was now stable enough. Although Sargeras couldn't pass through it for the time being—the underlying rules of this abandoned universe still repelled the former creator Titan—the main force of the Burning Legion could first arrive in this dark dimension and then deploy the legion from the outside through a portal.

For example, the fel warship has already passed through the emerald vortex and descended into the dark dimension.

After passing through the portals of two different universes, hundreds of fel-powered warships docked on the massive meteorite floating in the Dark Dimension. Many Morgok and Gargor, with mechanical limbs on their hands, emerged from the docked warships and began directing laborers to unload batches of materials.

Over the next period of time, the Legion's skilled engineers will transform all the meteorites in this plane into Legion fortresses and strongholds. Fel fire will ignite here, and once the gates to the outside world open, these transformed fortresses and strongholds will appear in the outer universe, becoming the bridgehead for the Burning Legion to incinerate this universe.

At this moment, on a fel-powered warship, an Eredar with fiery red skin, wearing a hideous suit of armor on his upper body and a pair of demonic wings on his back, stood in front of a disc.

On the disc, the emerald light, under the power of Eredar magic, reflected a virtual image of the city of New York on Earth.

“The day I accepted the fel fire, I foresaw my destined fate.” The Eredar demon Kil'jaeden swept his hand across the disc, instantly reducing the virtual image of New York City to ashes. “A grand expedition, a grand expedition reaching the very end of creation…” On the disc, within the vanished virtual image, a fel fire blazed fiercely. “But that was an illusion you showed me.” Kil'jaeden questioned, his voice filled with rage as he stared at the burning fel fire. “But now, a completely new universe has appeared before me. The burning expedition, the perseverance of tens of thousands of years… does it still have meaning?”

"Our expedition will surely be victorious..." Fel fire burned, and a majestic voice resounded within it—it was Sargeras, the fallen Titan-soul. Even though he wasn't in this plane, the Lord of the Burning Legion still responded in a deep voice, "Whether it's our original universe, or this..."

"...But perhaps you can't see our destiny, or perhaps I overestimated your determination."

"For this so-called destiny, I have sacrificed my world." Kil'jaeden slowly said, "My resolve is unwavering. No matter which world or universe, the Burning Crusade will never cease."

"Then let me see your resolve!"

“I will…” With a wave of his hand, the fel fire before Kil'jaeden vanished into wisps of emerald smoke. “Otherwise, the Eredar’s actions will be meaningless. All the sacrifices and efforts will only propell this expedition forward.” A tidal wave of magical power surged from Kil'jaeden’s body. He raised his hands toward the disc in the void, and fel energy shot into the sky from the disc.

"No matter which world it is, it will burn fiercely."

……

……

A deafening roar of thunder echoed across the skies above New York City, the sky darkening and growing gloomy. An unseen hand was manipulating the clouds, emerald flames and lightning flickering in and out of view. Countless demons, already arrived in the dark dimension, roared as the portal to spacetime teleportation was opened.

Soon, emerald green meteors fell from the sky above New York City. One after another, meteorites burning with fel energy appeared from the distorted spacetime and crashed down heavily on the international metropolis below.

Meanwhile, in the city below, New York City residents, who hadn't learned their lesson from the previous incident, were awkwardly holding up their phones to film and tweet. Only when they saw the bright green meteor crashing down towards the city did they realize what was happening and scream in surprise.

Rumble~ Rumble~ Rumble...

Although they didn't crash directly from outer space, these emerald green meteors weren't particularly powerful. However, the impact still devastatingly shattered skyscrapers in half.

Dozens, hundreds, even thousands of meteors of varying sizes blanketed the sky above New York City, relentlessly crashing down upon human society below. Even the superheroes and supervillains who had already reacted and hastily took countermeasures were utterly powerless against this man-made natural disaster.

A red figure soared into the sky—it was Tony Stark. Iron Man hurtled upwards at supersonic speed, launching all the miniature missiles mounted on his armor in one go, blasting a small meteor to smithereens. But unfortunately, compared to the sky full of meteors, his ability to resist was so weak.

Other superheroes with the ability to fly also rushed up, but they were equally powerless to stop it and could only watch helplessly as the meteors streaked across the sky and crashed down.

Roar! !

Below in New York City, the meteors that crashed to the ground caused immense destruction, but this was just the prelude. With a roar, from within the crater created by the meteors, an arm made of rock burning with fel fire rose, and a hellfire over ten meters tall rose up.

In the distance, even more and larger hellfire emerged one after another from the crater, spreading their fel fire.

"Nick Fury, what the hell have you guys been researching now?" Through his AI, Tony Stark knew perfectly well that the meteorite that had crashed down was alive. Looking at the hellfire burning with malevolent flames, capable of moving and running around—a veritable monster from a fantasy movie—Iron Man hacked into Nick Fury's phone and immediately yelled at the dark-skinned man, "Can't you just shut up for a minute? Fuck you!"

The dark-skinned director, who had also received the call, turned as black as the bottom of a pot. He angrily retorted to the playboy who had blocked his phone without warning, "Fuck you, this has nothing to do with me. S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't have another Tesseract."

"Then tell me what these little green monsters are all about?" Tony roared. "Are they tourists from the M78 Nebula or the Centaurus constellation? Fuck, can't this alien invasion just stop for a minute?"

No amount of cursing would matter in the face of the current situation. After ravaging the surface of New York, thousands of Hellfires quickly lifted their massive feet and joyfully spread their fel fire elsewhere. Moreover, unlike the useless Chiretars, these Hellfires, though brainless, knew perfectly well that all they needed to do was corrupt the land with fel energy to make it Legion territory.

Furthermore, unlike the cannon fodder Chiritars, these are far more advanced cannon fodder. Cannon fodder without Captain America's average combat strength would simply be crushed to dust by these hellfire beings. Even with Captain America's combat power, without an invincible shield, they would be burned to ashes by the intense fel fire.

Basically, more than two-thirds of the superheroes who rushed to fight these hellfires were reduced to ashes in the first round, and only a very small number of those who did not die from the hellfires began to turn around and run away.

Meanwhile, Captain America, a representative figure of capitalism, is now carrying his shield, showing off his muscular physique, and passionately sprinting down the street at a world record-breaking 100-meter sprint speed.

Behind him, an even more enthusiastic, twenty-meter-tall hellfire chased after this spiritual representative of a capitalist country, intending to express the excitement of the foreign traveler with a warm embrace.

As for whether Captain America is willing to give this Hellfire a capitalist country full of freedom and democracy... we'll have to wait and see.

'Mortals, prepare for your doom!'

A grand voice echoed across the New York sky, followed by flashes of emerald light. Tony Stark, who was flying, stared blankly at the emerald phantoms floating in the void above, which materialized in flashes of green light.

Dozens of fel-powered warships, the smallest of which were hundreds of meters long, appeared over New York City, their steel shadows obscuring the sky.

"Hyperspace warp?" Tony Stark was completely dumbfounded, staring at this warp technology that seemed straight out of science fiction. Weren't aliens supposed to be cannon fodder, like the Chiritars, using hovercraft and bio-transport ships? What the hell was this about warping dozens of warships?

Of course, Iron Man had no idea how different the Chiretta cannon fodder in this universe were from the Burning Legion, who specialized in burning glass on planets. But he would soon have to understand that a real interstellar landing was not the joke of the Chirettas looting, arson, and then dying because of a network outage.

Of the approximately thirty fel-powered warships, about a third rose high into the air, breaking through Earth's atmosphere and heading towards the starry sky. The remaining two-thirds of the fel-powered warships, without hesitation, opened fire on their cannons, unleashing a massive barrage of fire downwards.

Countless flames and rays rained down, igniting sparks in every corner of the city.

This is a Marvel side story that's been delayed for a long time.

Not long after the Chitauri invasion, another alien invasion struck the world like a giant mace. The US president must be feeling utterly devastated; two Hollywood blockbusters featuring alien invasions have occurred during his term, and it seems his political career is nearing its end.

As for the members of the UN Security Council, those who were essentially American sympathizers all turned their attention to the one-eyed black man. They questioned him about why there was still an alien invasion after he sent the Tesseract away, suggesting that he was a traitor and planning to become a global collaborator.

Then, already seething with anger, and now having to deal with these useless teammates dragging him down, the one-eyed black man loudly cursed those politicians whose asses were as big as their brains and the females of their eighteen generations of relatives with "fuck squid," and then threatened to resign on the spot to these good-for-nothing scum.

Considering that they were now back to wartime conditions and that there were practically no people left to take the blame, these lawmakers had no choice but to back down.

It's worth mentioning that among these congressmen, one of the Hydra's undercover agents was utterly bewildered. Their Insight Project was nearing its end, Hydra was about to achieve a great victory... but the reappearance of those aliens in New York completely disrupted all their plans.

Now, let alone rebelling, we also have to fight hard to protect the Earth from alien invaders.

Why is the art style of so-called villains developing in this direction?

However, considering that aliens wouldn't be on friendly terms with Hydra, Representative Pierce had no choice but to accept it. The aliens had already come knocking on their door, and now they were launching Project Insight to sabotage S.H.I.E.L.D. So, next year on this day, it wouldn't just be S.H.I.E.L.D.'s anniversary, it would be theirs too.

As a result, the newly built airships, which were originally the main force in the Insight Project, were taken off from their bases one by one in an emergency and headed rapidly toward New York City.

This time, Hydra will save the world... but that's impossible then.

Well, while these floating carriers basically represent the most advanced black technology on Earth right now, they're still just ordinary black technology. They're not so dark as to be depicted in a comedy comic. So, from the perspective of the demonic commander aboard the fel-powered warship hovering above New York City—

—You're such an obvious target!

"What are these mortals doing?" A red-skinned Eredar demon, the demon commander aboard a fel-powered warship, asked his lieutenant, the demon Shivara.

"They probably intend to shoot us down..." the six-armed female demon thought for a moment before replying, "or rather, ram and sink the legion's warships."

"Just these pieces of scrap metal?" The Eredar demon stared in astonishment at the images displayed on the magic screen. "Large floating coffins that can't escape the planet's gravitational pull and can't perform time-space warp?"

"What are these mortals thinking?" The Eredar demon gestured, and another magical mirror image appeared on the other end of the control panel. This new screen showed Iron Man bombarding New York City with palm-sized cannons and various miniature missiles, relentlessly spreading infernos throughout the city. "These giant coffins aren't even as technologically advanced as the armor this mortal is wearing. If there were more of these armors, they would be a considerable problem for the landing forces." The demon commander shook his head as he spoke. "However, in Lord Kil'jaeden's predictions, there are clearly some peculiarities on this planet that could cause the Legion considerable trouble."

"But it seems that these mortals do not possess the power to contend with the legion?"

“Perhaps those forces are hidden,” the lieutenant replied, “like the Guardians of Azeroth, concealed in the darkness of mortal society, so that even the Legion cannot find their trace.”

"Perhaps!" The demon commander waved his hand, turning off the magical mirror image showing Iron Man in battle. "Just in case, besides Hellfire, deploy only Imps, Hellhounds, Voidwalkers, and Demon Guards as ground troops... and see how these mortals resist."

"Isn't it too cautious to only send these low-level troops?"

"It doesn't matter. Time is on our side. Even if we fail on this planet, the universe is vast and there are plenty of planets to burn up."

"And on this planet, there are likely many traces and things left behind by advanced civilizations in this universe. Therefore, the war here is insignificant... Once the other warships have established themselves, this universe will also be engulfed in the flames of the Destroyer of All Realms."

"Then what about the flying machines that these mortals take to the air?"

"Shoot them down!" The Eredar demon's eyes burned with fierce fire. "Let them witness the power of the Legion, and while they're at it, force all the secrets hidden on this planet to be exposed!"

Hydra's Insight program relies on the global air superiority brought by these airships.

But can these flying carriers stand up to the fel warships?

The answer is no. These airships, which took off and flew over New York City, launched the first attack on the fel warship from afar. From the airships, state-of-the-art fighter jets launched out, deployed their thrusters, and rushed towards the fel warship, while the automatic weapons on the airships opened fire on the fel warship.
