Chapter 1

Intern

Metropolitan Area, USA.

A city kissed by gilded sunlight, a steel forest known as the "City of Tomorrow".

Of all the skyscrapers, the Lex Building is undoubtedly the most eye-catching.

Inside the building, in a spacious and brightly lit restroom on a certain floor, Suren stared at herself in the mirror with a look of shock on her face.

The water was rushing loudly. He had been staring at the mirror for a full five minutes before finally accepting the fact—he had traveled through time.

The same black hair and black eyes, the same Eastern face, but her face was noticeably thinner, and her features were sharper.

"Uh...where have I ended up? Is this still in China?"

He never expected that while he was taking a paid dump in the company restroom, he would be transported to another world.

I was fine when I went into the cubicle, but when I came out, the whole world had changed.

Aren't time travels usually caused by explosions or huge trucks? How come I time traveled while using the toilet and sitting on the toilet?

Memories flooded my mind like a tidal wave.

The original owner was also named Su Lun, and had just graduated from the world's top university, MIT, with a major in biology.

Although he didn't have an impressive resume or letters of recommendation, he still came to this city of hope with great enthusiasm.

The first company to apply was Lexar, one of only two such behemoths in the United States.

Although she was just hoping to try her luck, the original owner was so nervous after the interview that she had abdominal cramps and rushed to the toilet.

Just as he sat down on the toilet, he received a text message from Lex Group offering him a job, and immediately fainted from happiness.

Suren also figured out why she had a certain smell when she first transmigrated.

"Hmm... to end abruptly at the happiest moment, I don't know if it's a good thing or not."

Suren shrugged. After the memories merged, he was able to understand the original owner's immense sense of happiness.

Although the original owner's education level far exceeded that of ordinary people, and he looked glamorous and like a future successful person.

But this is in the United States. After four years of university, the original owner had already accumulated a huge amount of student loans.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, this loan will accompany him for life, like a Damocles' sword hanging over his head.

Once credit is lost, all the glamorous illusions on the surface will disappear.

They would automatically enter the "cutoff line" of American society—becoming a homeless vagrant.

At that point, their lifespan will be on a countdown, with only three to five years left to live.

This is the DC Universe, where superheroes fight crime, making life on the streets a bit easier.

But every now and then, a world-destroying battle will break out.

On average, the life expectancy of homeless people remains exactly the same, which is quite ironic.

Suren couldn't help but sigh.

When he first arrived in this world, his instinctive reaction was to close the toilet door and try to return to his original world.

But unsurprisingly, I failed, and failed many times.

Now I can only accept reality, and my only hope is that the big event will happen later.

However, having arrived in DC, Suren quickly adjusted her mindset and prepared to start a brand new life.

Suren wiped the water droplets from her face and caught a glimpse of a figure flashing past outside the glass.

It wasn't a bird, it wasn't an airplane; even if Suren only saw the red and blue streaks, she could tell that it was Superman.

A slight stinging sensation came from Suren's eyes, and then countless rays of light of different colors and thicknesses appeared in his vision.

When the light stabilizes completely, it converges to form a panel.

[Current World: DC Injustice Universe (Upgradeable).]

[World Ranking: Four Stars]

[Host: Suren.]

[Source Count: 100. (Can be used for upgrading, changing the Overworld, or traveling to other worlds; obtained by changing the Overworld.)]

[Talent: Bio-Blueprint (Through contact and analysis, you can decipher the life or ability composition of a target, transforming it into an editable "Bio-Blueprint." By consuming energy, the blueprint can be integrated into your own system.)]

"The Injustice League..."

Suren couldn't help but start to feel a headache coming on.

In this universe, Superman and Lex Luthor are not mortal enemies, but rather close friends.

This means he can't use his intern status to analyze the villains created by Luther, such as Bizarro and Kryptonite.

Even more terrifying is that one day, the Joker will kidnap Louise and install a switch on her heart.

Under the combined influence of Kryptonite gas and Fear Toxin, Superman mistakes his lover for Doomsday.

Superman instinctively picked up the enemy and flew into space to prevent the battle from affecting the city.

As he broke through the atmosphere, the illusion in front of Superman shattered, and he could only listen in despair as Lois and the baby's heart stopped beating.

At the same time, the nuclear bomb hidden in the metropolis exploded, reducing the entire city to ruins.

Clearly, in the timeline where Suren is currently located, Metropolis has not yet been destroyed.

The sound of high heels clicking on the floor grew louder as Su Lun pushed open the bathroom door and saw her bespectacled female secretary.

"Mr. Suren, are you feeling better?"

The other person gave a standard smile and said softly.

"Much better, thank you." Suren nodded.

"Then please follow me." The female secretary turned around and led the way with graceful steps.

Walking through the brightly lit corridor, the large wooden door opened, revealing the enormous office.

"Welcome, Mr. Suren."

Lex Luthor sat behind a luxurious desk, his bald head gleaming brightly in the sunlight.

He didn't introduce himself, after all, his face had appeared too many times in various occasions.

"Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity, Mr. Luther."

Suren walked forward somewhat awkwardly and sat down in the chair in front of the desk.

The panel composed of light beams also appeared in front of him at the right time.

[Analyzing a creature: Lex Luthor]

[Species: Human (Homo sapiens)]

"Relax. It's understandable to feel nervous when faced with something as big as changing the world."

Luther crossed his arms and placed them on the table, a playful yet encouraging smile playing on his lips.

"Curiosity is the primary fuel for technology, Mr. Suren. Before you officially begin your work, is there anything you'd like to ask?"

"Can I ask anything?"

Suren's Instinct.

"Of course, anything is fine." Luther nodded with a relaxed smile.

It must be said that Lex Luthor from the Injustice universe is very approachable and doesn't have the oppressive feeling of a villain or mad scientist.

"Sir, as far as I know, Superman is an alien whose appearance is almost identical to that of a human."

After a moment's hesitation, Suren finally spoke.

Although he said that, Luther clearly noticed that there was no awe or worship in Suren's eyes, but just a casual discussion of a problem.

"So, could he also mate with a human from Earth and produce offspring with the same superpowers?"

The moment this question was raised, the relaxed atmosphere in the room vanished instantly.

Luther's brows furrowed, and his eyes sharpened considerably.

The only sound in the entire office was the gentle tapping of his knuckles on the desk.
