Chapter 235
Moonlight Plays with Xyz?
Chapter 235 Moonlight Plays with Xyz?
"I know what to do without you telling me."
A calm smile played on You Ming's lips. "My turn, draw a card!"
moonlight?
Yu Ming has played this deck countless times.
He knows the combo of this deck better than anyone else.
Although we have P cards now, we don't have Link Monsters like Silver or Gold.
The Combo still needs to be adjusted according to the actual situation.
"I summon Moonlight Rainbow Hatchling!"
Pale pink moonlight enveloped the entire area, and a petite, lithe female monster dressed in feathered robes slowly appeared.
【Moonlight Sakura, ATK1400, LV4】
"Moonlight Rainbow's effect activated!"
Yu Ming said calmly, "Once per turn, you can send one Moonlight Monster from your Deck or Extra Deck to the Graveyard."
This turn, this monster can be used as Fusion Material. I choose to send Moonlight Weasel from my deck to the Graveyard.
land!"
A yellow, weasel-shaped monster phantom flew out of the deck, turning into light dust and falling into the graveyard.
Immediately afterward, You Ming raised his hand again and drew a pendulum card: "Next, I will set the Moon Tiger at scale 5 as the pendulum scale!"
A pale golden pendulum beam shot into the sky, and the phantom of the Moon Tiger appeared at the top of the beam.
The mark "5" is clearly visible, but there is only this one beam of light, and there is no trace of a second pendulum card.
"He only set up one pendulum card?"
Watching the battle, Yuya Sakaki frowned and muttered to himself with a face full of doubt, "Normally, a Pendulum Summon requires two Pendulum Cards of different scales to summon a monster whose level is between the scales, but he only used one today - was it intentional or a mistake?"
Does he have no intention of performing a pendulum summon at all?
Not only Yuya, but everyone present was also surprised. The lancers temporarily suppressed their anger, their eyes filled with incomprehension.
The people from the Hyperdimension also frowned, guessing at You Ming's intentions.
You'll know the answer soon enough.
You Ming seemed to see through everyone's doubts, and said with a hint of mockery, "Activate the Moonlight Tiger's effect:
Once per turn, negate the effects of one Moonlight Monster in your Graveyard, then Special Summon it!
"Rise, Moonlight Weasel!"
A yellow light shone in the cemetery, and the Moonlight Weasel reappeared, but its energy was suppressed by the Moonlight Tiger's effect.
The originally sharp aura weakened, and its effects were temporarily blocked.
[Moonlight Weasel, DEF2000, LV4]
"They're about to go!"
Yu Ming suddenly waved his hand downwards, his tone abruptly turning sharp, "Stack the level 4 Moonlight Weasel and Moonlight Rainbow Hatchling together to construct an Xyz Network!"
"What?!"
The crowd erupted in uproar, and Akama Reiji's pupils contracted sharply—everyone thought Yu Ming would use a Pendulum Card to perform a Pendulum Summon.
But he actually used his only two Moonlight Monsters to perform an Xyz Summon!
"Xyz Summon, appear, Li Huishi, the Demon Lord of the Flies!"
The two Level 4 monsters transformed into two streams of light, converging into a massive Xyz vortex.
From within the vortex, a bizarre monster, entirely black with enormous compound eyes and membranous wings, slowly emerged.
His body was surrounded by a cold, demonic energy, radiating a suffocating sense of oppression.
[Legendary Fly King, ATK1900, R4]
"Using my Moonlight Deck for an Xyz Summon?"
Serena looked surprised; she never imagined that her Moonlight deck could be used in this way.
If it were in her usual dueling style, she would definitely have used Fusion Summoning on Cat Princess in a situation like Zero's.
This style leads her decks to rely heavily on fusion cards.
However, it seems that Xyz Summoning is more flexible now.
After all, as long as she collects monsters of the same low level, it's not that difficult for her Moonlight deck.
She clenched her fist, as if she had seen a new strategy for her deck.
"That card is—"
Akama Reiji stared intently at the demon-possessed Fly King, a strong sense of unease rising inexplicably in his heart.
This bizarre, overabundant monster made him feel unwell.
His intuition told him that You Ming was definitely brewing some huge conspiracy. "Something's not right. The effects of this monster are definitely not simple."
He dared not be careless in the slightest, and immediately raised his hand to flip over the face-down card in the back row: "Activate the Trap Card - Contract Cleanse!"
This card can send all my contracts on the field to the graveyard. For each contract sent, I recover 1000 Life Points and draw a card!
"I have two Contracts on the field. Send them to the Graveyard to restore 2000 Life Points and draw two cards!"
You Ming immediately waved his hand and said, "I will never let you successfully activate the effect of the Demon Lord of the Flies!"
This monster's effect is: If your total number of cards on the field and in your hand is less than your opponent's total, detach 1 Xyz Material and destroy all other cards on the field!
He spoke with a hint of smugness, as if he had already seen through You Ming's tactics: "You have 4 cards in your hand, plus the Moonlight Tiger and the Demon Fly King on the field, for a total of 6 cards."
You have three monsters on your field: Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great, and Caesar the Raging Waves, plus two face-down cards!
The total number is more than mine, so please destroy them all!
"Oh, right!"
You Ming smiled knowingly, his tone calm and unhurried, "Your contract cleansing was activated by C1, while my effect C2 takes priority."
Since your Covenants on the field cannot be shuffled and sent to the Graveyard, you have 0 Covenants shuffled and sent to the Graveyard!
"0!"
Reiji Akaba's expression changed drastically; the unease in her heart instantly turned into panic. "This is bad!"
"That's right! Now all your cards are essentially useless!"
You Ming smiled; actually, he used this card to scout ahead.
Ling'er initially had two face cards, but nobody knew what those two face cards were.
Although Moonlight's Extra Deck has been adjusted by him, it is not limited to pure Fusion Summoning.
Perhaps we still need to clean up the mess.
This Bai Xiaoqiang card was the all-purpose card used during the clearing-out process back then.
"Don't even think about it!"
Reiji Akaba gritted his teeth and immediately activated another backrow face-down card, "Activate the Continuous Trap Card - Valkyrie's Contract!"
Activate its effect: Discard a DD monster from your hand and destroy one card on your opponent's field!
I discarded my DD Whirlpool Slime to destroy your Enchanted Fly Lord!
A flash of white light appeared, and DD Vortex Slime disappeared from the hand. A sharp energy shot straight towards the Demonic Fly King, about to destroy it.
"It's alright, the effects of the Demonic Fly King have already taken effect."
You Ming's tone was calm, his eyes showing no emotion whatsoever, "Even if it's destroyed, your cards will still be completely destroyed!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the Demon Lord of Flies erupted with intense black energy. Even though it was hit by the Valkyrie's Contract effect and turned into dust, the black energy still swept across the field, heading straight for all the monsters and face-down cards on Reiji Akaba's field!
"boom!"
Black energy erupted, and the three powerful monsters on Akama Reiji's field—DDD Fire King Temujin, Gale King Alexander, and Raging Wave King Caesar—along with the three Contracts, were instantly and completely destroyed, turning into dust and clearing the field in an instant!
