Chapter 237
Emperor Temujin!
Chapter 237 Emperor Temujin!
"My turn, draw a card!"
Reiji Akaba's voice trembled slightly, yet remained firm.
Having been completely suppressed in the previous round, he was forced into a desperate situation. His hand was running out of cards and his field was empty. He had no choice but to make a desperate gamble and fight back with the resilience of his deck.
Without the slightest hesitation, he raised his hand and slammed it onto the duel disk. Dark magical light shone once more, exactly as it had before: "I activate the Continuous Spell Hellgate Contract again from my hand!"
A heavy, black contract slowly emerged, its runes flashing with an ominous red light, connecting with the aura of the contract that had been sent to the graveyard earlier: "Activate the effect of the Contract of Hell's Gate: Once per turn, add DDD Evil King Abyss Doom God from your deck to your hand!"
The deck was shuffled rapidly, and a monster card engraved with dark patterns flew into Reiji Akaba's hand.
He then pointed to the graveyard: "Next, activate the effect of the DD Vortex Slime in the graveyard!"
Banish this card from your Graveyard, and Special Summon 1 DD monster from your hand—Appear, DDD Evil King, Abyss Doomsday God!
A dark shadow rose from the graveyard, and the DD Vortex Slime turned into light dust and dissipated.
Immediately afterwards, a ferocious monster clad in jet-black armor and sitting in a chair suddenly appeared.
He was surrounded by violent dark energy, which was extremely oppressive.
【DDD Evil King Abyss Doomsday God, ATK2200】
"Activate the effect of the Demonic Nightmare Knight!" You Ming's voice rang out calmly, without the slightest panic.
"What?" Akama Reiji's expression changed drastically.
"When your opponent Special Summons a monster, remove 1 Xyz Material to activate this effect and change that monster to face-down Defense Position."
Yu Ming said calmly, "Therefore, your DDD Bad King Abyss Doomsday God will be transformed into a face-down defense position."
"Oh no!"
Akama Reiji was shocked and his whole body trembled: so the unease emanating from that Overpowered Monster was due to this effect!
It can limit my ability to summon monsters indefinitely, giving me no chance to fight back!
"Then, activate the effect of DDD Evil King Abyss Doomsday God! If this card is Special Summoned, Special Summon 1 DDD monster from your Graveyard! Revive, DDD Gale King Alexander!"
A silver gale arose again in the graveyard, and Alexander the Gale King reappeared, his gale energy still fierce.
As soon as it appeared, it was locked onto by an invisible force.
【DDD Gale King Alexander, ATK2500, LV7】
"Hey, I'm activating the Demonic Nightmare Knight effect again."
Yu Ming's lips curled into a mocking smile. "Remove the last Xyz Material and turn your Gale King Alexander into a face-down Defense Position as well."
Two dark figures flipped simultaneously, and both DDD Evil King Abyss Doomsday God and Gale King Alexander were now in their defensive, inward-facing positions.
Like two silent stone statues, they had completely lost their fighting power.
"Next, activate the Moonlight Kingfisher effect of the removed material."
Yu Ming gave Akama Reiji no chance to catch his breath, "If this card is sent to the Graveyard by an effect, Special Summon 1 Moonlight Monster from your Graveyard."
"Rise, Moonlight Weasel!"
[Moonlight Weasel, DEF2000, LV4]
"Zero's monsters are now all in face-down defense position, and the revival effect of Gale King Alexander is also unusable due to this restriction."
Yuya Sakaki frowned. "Although Yumei's Demonic Nightmare Knight no longer has any Xyz Materials, it can no longer activate its effect."
But in this predicament, Ling'er has no way to mount an effective counterattack, and with very few cards left in her hand, there's almost no chance of a comeback.
Reiji Akaba stared intently at the monster guarding the inside of the field, his eyes filled with resentment and determination.
He suddenly raised his hand and drew his last card: "I summon—DD Sage of Magic, Kepler!"
A monster dressed in a magician's robe and holding a magic wand slowly appeared, its body surrounded by faint magical energy.
With a wise and sharp gaze, he is the core search card of the Akama Reiji deck.
【DD Sage of Magic, Kepler, ATKO】
"If Kepler is successfully summoned, its effect activates!"
Reiji Akaba said urgently, "I'm adding a Contract to my hand from my deck! I'm adding the second Demon King's Contract to my hand from my deck. Activate!"
"I can't believe Zero actually summoned this card directly."
Yuya Sakaki's brows furrowed even more, his eyes filled with shock. He had fought Rei before and had naturally witnessed the Sage of Magic's opening.
The card, Puller.
This card, along with DD Sage Galileo, is Zero's most frequently used Pendulum Summon starting hand.
The fact that they've summoned it all shows that Ling'er is truly driven to the brink and is willing to use all her trump cards.
Thinking of this, he couldn't help but turn to look at You Ming, his eyes filled with disbelief: Is this person really that strong?
How could a top duelist like Akama Reiji be forced to such a point?
"Activate the effect of the Demon King's Contract!"
Reiji Akaba's voice carried a hint of a roar, "During the main phase, perform a Fusion Summon on the field. Fusion Summoned Monster."
No need to confirm the inner or outer representation! This renders your Nightmare Knight's restrictive abilities completely useless!
He suddenly waved his hand down, his tone impassioned: "Fuse the covered DDD Evil King Abyss Doomsday God with DD Magic Sage Kepler!"
Fusion Summoning, the ultimate Flame God on the War God Ranking—DDD, the Fiery King, Genghis Khan!
Two monstrous figures lit up simultaneously, both inside and outside, enveloped by a powerful fusion energy, forming a huge vortex of fire.
Within the vortex, the phantom of the Fiery King Temujin reappeared, but it was larger and more ferocious than before.
His body was engulfed in raging flames, and the runes on his armor flashed with a destructive red light.
【DDD, the Fiery King Genghis Khan, ATK2800】
This desperate counterattack ignited the passion of everyone present, and the previously silent spearmen erupted in cheers: "Amazing! Lady Ling'er actually summoned the Great Fire King, Genghis Khan, in such a dire situation!"
"That's the resilience of a spearman leader! Even when pushed to the brink, they can still fight back!"
"You Ming must be panicking now, right? The Fire King has an attack power of 2800, far exceeding the monsters on his field!"
The people from the Hyperdimension also frowned. Hayabusa said gravely, "This is bad. This monster's attack power is too high. Yu Ming's Demonic Nightmare Knight can't withstand it at all!"
Kaito looked tense: "And there's also a cover card for Alexander the Great on Zero's field."
There are still two contracts left. If he can hold out until the next round, he can re-engage, and then the situation will be unpredictable!
Chima Reiji looked at the Blazing Fire King, Temujin the Great, on the field, a hint of relief and sharpness flashing in his eyes: "Fight! Use Blazing Fire King, Temujin the Great, to attack Moonlight Weasel!"
The Fiery King wielded his burning giant axe, and a blazing slash shot straight toward the Moonlight Weasel.
The moonlight weasel was instantly engulfed by flames, turning into dust and dissipating.
