Chapter 7
, from the third year onwards, the sermon concludes.
Chapter 7, Three Thousand Years Later, the sermon concludes.
Time flies by like a white horse galloping past a crack in the wall; in the blink of an eye, three thousand years have quietly passed.
Three thousand years passed in the blink of an eye, and everyone in the Sanqing Hall was so immersed in the Great Dao that they could not extricate themselves.
On this day, Shangqing Tongtian stopped explaining the Great Dao. He glanced at the crowd who were engrossed in the Great Dao, then shook his head with a smile. When he looked at Chen Qing, his eyes revealed a look of satisfaction.
Over the course of three thousand years, Chen Qing's performance has been quite astonishing. Although he appears to be at the Earth Immortal realm, he possesses strength comparable to a Great Luo Golden Immortal, which greatly satisfies him. He is extremely pleased with Chen Qing as his disciple.
Moreover, Chen Qing has his own unique understanding of the meaning of the word "Jie" and his own understanding of the doctrines of the Jie Sect. If it weren't for the fact that he and Chen Qing didn't have enough affinity, he would have wanted to take Chen Qing as his personal disciple.
Unfortunately, although he believed that everything has a chance of survival and that everything can cultivate the Great Dao, he also valued the matter of fate. His fate with Chen Qing was insufficient; they were only master and disciple, which could not be forced.
After all, being a direct disciple is not just a matter of title, but also involves one's own fortune, karma, and many other factors.
The celestial secrets revealed that he only had four personal disciples. Furthermore, when he founded the Jie Sect, he was unable to take on any more personal disciples because he lacked a supreme treasure to suppress his fortune.
After all, the fortune of a personal disciple is connected to his own fortune, and not only that, but there is also the power of cause and effect. If he were to accept Chen Qing as his personal disciple now, he would have to bear a share of the karmic consequences that Chen Qing would create in the future, whether they were good or bad.
The fates of a disciple and a teacher are intertwined, and their karmic connections are intertwined. They generally have an extremely deep affinity; otherwise, a teacher would not casually accept a disciple as a disciple.
As the Tongtian Sect Leader ceased explaining the Great Dao, the Daoist chants abruptly stopped, and all the strange phenomena within the Sanqing Hall vanished.
At this moment, inside the Sanqing Hall, the divine dragon retreated, the colorful phoenix flew away, the unicorn disintegrated, and countless celestial flowers and golden lotuses also disappeared, transforming into pure innate spiritual energy for everyone to absorb.
However, the Sanqing Hall was still shrouded in a thick Daoist aura, and everyone was surrounded by it.
When Shangqing Tongtian stopped explaining the Great Dao, Chen Qing had already sensed something, but he did not stop cultivating. Instead, he once again condensed his own vast star river and solidified it again.
As his physical body and primordial spirit transformed, the amount of galactic power he could bear increased considerably. Under such circumstances, how could he not refine it?
Don't forget where he is now. At this moment, the innate spiritual energy in the Sanqing Palace is extremely pure. He can absorb this pure innate spiritual energy without much refining, and it can be directly transformed into his own star river power.
With such a great opportunity, how could he let it slip by?
It should be understood that if this opportunity is missed, it is unknown when the next sage will be able to explain the Great Dao.
At this moment, Chen Qing was not only condensing the star river, but also condensing his own Dao body.
This time, however, he planned to take advantage of this opportunity to condense his own Dao body.
At that time, he will be able to allow the Dao body he has condensed to directly enter the spacetime dimension.
Even if his true body dies in the primordial world, he can still return as long as his Dao body remains.
As Chen Qing continued to refine the starry river and his Dao body, time quietly passed.
A hundred years pass in the blink of an eye. In this vast and boundless world, if there is anything worthless, it is time.
A highly capable person's seclusion often lasts for tens of thousands of years. Even for them, a single seclusion lasts for thousands of years, and a single seclusion can be as vast as the changing of the world.
A century has passed, and many of those who were originally immersed in the Great Dao have now awakened.
After the last person emerged from the Great Dao, everyone rose and respectfully bowed to the three saints as master and disciple.
"Thank you for explaining the Great Dao to my eldest master, second master, and third master."
Upon hearing this, the three saints nodded in satisfaction. Looking at the crowd, they saw that everyone's cultivation level had broken through, and they couldn't help but nod in satisfaction.
The three saints looked at everyone and then slowly spoke.
"Now that you have heard the Great Dao, do you have any questions? If so, please ask them. As your elders, we will answer them for you."
Upon hearing this, everyone raised their own questions about the Great Dao.
After hearing the doubts raised by the people, the Three Sages began to answer their questions and provide guidance.
Chen Qing listened to these questions and answers without taking them seriously, because he understood all the questions raised by everyone.
Chen Qing stopped paying attention to the crowd and began to focus on absorbing the pure innate spiritual energy within the Three Pure Points, continuing to condense his own Star River and his own Dao Body.
And so, a hundred years later, it was Chen Qing's turn.
Chen Qing looked at the three saints and immediately voiced his doubts.
"Elder Master, Second Master, Teacher, I do not understand what the Great Way is, and how can I comprehend its true meaning?"
Upon hearing Chen Qing's words, Taishang Laozi, Yuqing Yuanshi, and Shangqing Tongtian all looked at him with some surprise. None of them expected that Chen Qing would raise this question.
But since Chen Qing had already raised this question, they had to answer it.
"The Great Dao is the rule governing the operation of all things. The Dao exists among all things; it is omnipresent and all-encompassing. As long as you diligently comprehend it, you will understand what the Great Dao is."
"The movement of heaven and earth is the Dao, the sun, moon and stars are the Dao, grass, trees, mountains and rivers are the Dao. The Dao exists everywhere and is omnipresent."
"The true meaning of the Great Dao requires you to comprehend it yourselves, to comprehend the primordial world, the sun, moon, stars, grass, trees, mountains, and rivers."
"The Way follows the natural way. Once you have some understanding of it, you will know what the Way is and what its true meaning is."
Lao Tzu was explaining the Great Dao, and after he finished speaking, everyone in the Sanqing Palace was completely bewildered.
Yuqing Yuanshi and Shangqing Tongtian remained silent, nodding in agreement, clearly showing their strong agreement with Laozi's words.
Upon hearing Lao Tzu's words, Chen Qing nodded in agreement, bowed once more to the three sages, and then sat down.
Seeing this, the three saints knew that everyone had no more doubts, so they directly announced the end of the sermon.
"After this sermon, you should all go down and cultivate yourselves in seclusion, and carefully contemplate the great Dao that we have just spoken of."
"After you leave, you may choose any palace nearby to cultivate in."
After saying these words, the three sages closed their eyes and departed to comprehend the Dao of Heaven.
Upon seeing this, everyone rose and respectfully bowed to the Three Saints before orderly leaving the Sanqing Palace.
After leaving the Sanqing Palace, the group exchanged glances and then headed towards a nearby palace.
Everyone was eager to return to their seclusion. Having just heard the Three Sages explain the Great Dao, their doubts had been answered, and they were preparing to go into seclusion to further improve their strength and transform the insights gained from this lecture into their own foundation.
Chen Qing glanced at the crowd and saw that they were all heading towards the palace. He followed behind them, intending to find a palace to continue his seclusion and refine his Dao body.
