Chapter 700
Ren Xue
"I can do it myself," she said softly, without actually stopping her.
“Let me take care of you,” Dai Chengfeng insisted, continuing what he was doing.
After wiping her clean, he quickly tidied himself up, then lay back down beside her and pulled her into his arms. The sun was shining brightly, and a gentle breeze carried the fragrance of flowers.
"Are you cold?" Dai Chengfeng asked. Although the weather was warm, neither of them was wearing any clothes.
Bibi Dong shook her head, but instead moved closer to him: "You're very warm."
Dai Chengfeng smiled, pulled over a scattered papal robe, and covered the two of them with it. The purple-gold fabric shimmered in the sunlight, but at this moment it was just their temporary blanket.
"If the people from the Spirit Hall saw this, they would be terrified," Bibi Dong said jokingly, looking at the papal robe she was wearing.
"Then don't let them see." Dai Chengfeng hugged her tightly. "Only I can see you like this."
Bibi Dong felt a sweet warmth in her heart and stopped speaking, simply enjoying the tranquility. She had never imagined that she would be intimate with a man in such a wilderness, much less feel so relaxed and content.
"What are you thinking about?" Dai Chengfeng's deep voice sounded above her head, tinged with a lazy, hoarse quality.
Bibi Dong shook her head slightly, rubbing her cheek against his warm skin: "It's nothing, it just feels... a little unreal."
Dai Chengfeng chuckled softly, the vibrations of his chest resonating throughout her body. He tightened his arms around her waist, drawing her closer to him: "What feels unreal? Is it the warmth of your embrace that feels unreal, or just now..."
"Stop talking." Bibi Dong quickly raised her hand to cover his mouth, her ears burning. Even though they were already so intimate, she was still not used to his direct flirting.
Dai Chengfeng planted a kiss on her palm, his tongue lightly brushing against it, sending a shiver down her spine. Bibi Dong recoiled as if electrocuted, but he grabbed her wrist and kissed it tenderly.
"Dong'er, your shyness is more captivating than the beauty of spring in this garden." He gazed at her, his deep eyes filled with lingering emotions and an overwhelming tenderness.
Bibi Dong's heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively avoided his gaze. As the Pope of the Spirit Hall, she was used to the awe and fear in people's eyes, but she couldn't withstand his gaze. It was as if in his eyes, she wasn't some powerful pope, but just a little woman who needed to be loved.
"Glib talker," she muttered under her breath, but a faint smile unconsciously crept onto her lips.
Seeing this rare display of girlish tenderness in her, Dai Chengfeng felt a surge of warmth in his heart and couldn't help but lower his head to seek her lips. Bibi Dong didn't flinch; instead, she tilted her head slightly to meet his. This kiss was unlike the previous passionate storms; it was gentle and lingering, filled with endless tenderness and love.
When the kiss ended, both of them were a little breathless. Dai Chengfeng pressed his forehead against hers, his breath hot: "One more time?"
Bibi Dong blushed and gently pushed him: "Stop fooling around, this is the wilderness."
"What are you afraid of?" Dai Chengfeng said dismissively, his fingers lingering on her smooth back. "This is my territory. Without my permission, not even an ant can crawl in."
He spoke casually, yet his tone carried an undeniable domineering confidence. Bibi Dong then remembered that the man before her was not only her lover, but also one of the strongest figures on this continent, possessing his own domain.
"Your domain..." Bibi Dong looked around curiously. It looked no different from an ordinary forest; sunlight, a gentle breeze, the fragrance of flowers—everything felt so real. "Is this the legendary 'Wind God's Domain'?"
Dai Chengfeng nodded, casually plucked a fallen leaf, and to Bibi Dong's astonishment, the leaf transformed into specks of blue light and vanished in his palm: "In my domain, I am the rule. Every blade of grass, every tree, even the sunlight and air here, is controlled by my will."
He paused, his gaze softening as he looked at Bibi Dong: "But now, it has a new meaning."
"What does it mean?" "It's a world that belongs only to us." Dai Chengfeng took her hand and kissed it lightly. "Here, there is no Spirit Hall, no responsibility, no hatred. Only me and you."
Bibi Dong's heart skipped a beat, a warm current flowing through her body. She understood the deeper meaning in his words. As the Pope of the Spirit Hall, she carried too much on her shoulders, even her love for him had to be kept secret, for fear of being discovered and attracting criticism. But here, in this world completely under his control, she could temporarily shed all her shackles and be her most authentic self.
“Chengfeng…” she called softly, a hint of tears welling up in her eyes.
Dai Chengfeng couldn't bear to see her like this, and he hugged her tightly with heartache: "Silly girl, why are you crying? You can come here anytime you want. Or..." He leaned close to her ear and whispered, "We can go to your Papal Palace, in your bedroom..."
"How dare you!" Bibi Dong glared at him, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment and anger. "If someone sees this, what will become of my papal dignity?"
"Then let them see it." Dai Chengfeng raised an eyebrow nonchalantly. "It'll let the whole continent know that His Holiness the Pope of the Spirit Hall is my woman, Dai Chengfeng's woman."
The possessiveness in his tone made Bibi Dong's heart tremble, a mixture of shame and anger, and a secret joy. She had never imagined that one day a man would so forcefully barge into her life, disregarding her status and position, wanting only to possess her.
"Overbearing," she muttered, her tone soft and utterly lacking in intimidation.
Dai Chengfeng chuckled, stopping teasing her, and asked instead, "Are you hungry? You've been through so much, you need to replenish your energy."
Only after his reminder did Bibi Dong realize that her stomach was empty. She hadn't eaten or drunk anything since morning, and after a passionate encounter, she was indeed starving.
"A little," she admitted honestly.
Dai Chengfeng affectionately pinched the tip of her nose: "Wait here, I'll go get you something to eat."
He was about to get up when Bibi Dong stopped him, saying, "Don't go."
Dai Chengfeng turned around and met her gaze, which held a hint of dependence. His heart instantly melted. He lay back down and pulled her into his arms. "Okay, I won't leave. What would you like to eat? I'll have the creatures in the domain prepare it."
"The creatures within the domain?" Bibi Dong asked curiously.
Dai Chengfeng smiled mysteriously and snapped his fingers. A ripple spread through the surrounding air, and several snow-white, winged sprites appeared out of thin air, hovering respectfully in mid-air, emitting clear, melodious voices: "What are your orders, Master?"
Bibi Dong's eyes widened in surprise. These little sprites were not soul beasts, but elemental creatures formed purely from energy, each exuding a pure wind attribute aura.
"Go prepare some food, something light and palatable, suitable for... well, suitable for replenishing energy after physical exertion," Dai Chengfeng instructed without changing his expression, completely unconcerned about the instantly flushed cheeks of the person in his arms.
The little elves obediently responded, flapped their wings lightly, and transformed into streaks of white light, disappearing into the depths of the forest.
“They…” Bibi Dong was still a little dazed.
“Wind spirits, servants born naturally within this domain,” Dai Chengfeng explained. “Don’t worry, they have no self-awareness, they will only faithfully carry out my orders, and they will not remember anything they shouldn’t.”
Bibi Dong finally breathed a sigh of relief. She couldn't even imagine what would have happened if those little creatures had seen what had just happened.
Not long after, several wind spirits returned, carrying exquisite jade platters filled with steaming food. There was thick, flavorful spirit rice porridge, several light side dishes, and a pot of fruit wine exuding a delicate fragrance. (End of Chapter)
