Chapter 14
Ravenclaw Door Knob: Chapter Answer Me
The appearance of the ghost brought the banquet to a new climax.
"Nick the Nearly Headless" floated over the young wizards, his head still attached to the ground, and enjoyed watching the new students' terrified eyes.
"Barrow the Blood" sat blankly at the Slytherin table, making the young wizards around him lose their appetite.
The "fat monk" was much more enthusiastic, frequently making Hufflepuff laugh.
Ethan watched this scene with curiosity.
If anyone in this world knows the truth about death better than ghosts, it must be ghosts.
Unfortunately, the moment they learned the truth, they lost the means to continue their exploration and pursuit.
"What exactly is the essence of ghosts...? Is there a way to transfer them into a painting...?"
Ethan murmured, staring intently at "Nearly Headless Nick" drifting towards them.
Nick shuddered under the stare and covered his head as if he had encountered a perverted little girl.
It spun in mid-air and drifted away.
Can't afford to mess with them, can't afford to mess with them...
"What a coward."
Ethan regretfully looked away.
Just then, a voice with a thick accent rang out from beside me:
"Thank goodness you got rid of him."
He noticed a brown-skinned girl sitting next to him, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him.
Previously, she had been turning her head to talk to others.
When Ethan looked over, she laughed heartily, revealing two dimples.
"That sight is truly unappetizing, isn't it? My name is Padma Petit, I am of Indian descent, and I have a twin sister in Gryffindor."
The girl spoke up.
Her eyes were like two black grapes, round and bright.
"My name is Ethan Vincent, nice to meet you," Ethan replied.
Padma: "I know you; your name has been all over the train. I heard you like painting; would you be interested in helping us sisters—"
"Ahem!"
Suddenly, a voice forcefully interrupted.
A light brown-haired boy named Michael Corner approached, his eyes sparkling, and said:
"My name is Michael Corner! It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Petit!"
As he spoke, Michael walked past Ethan and reached out his hand directly to Padma.
"..."
Padma's smile turned into a fake one. She nodded and ignored Michael's hand.
Young and ambitious!
Ethan looked at Michael, who was displaying his peacock-like prowess, and nodded approvingly.
In the original books, the Pettier sisters were Harry and Ron's dance partners at the Goblet of Fire, and they were considered beauties.
With thick eyebrows and big eyes, he has a very exotic look.
Unfortunately, Michael didn't get to chat for more than a few words.
Padma then turned back to continue chatting with her girlfriends.
"Well, at least I've become a familiar face."
Michael tried to comfort himself.
Then, his eyes darted to Ethan, and he grinned slyly:
"However, I'm sure that as long as I hang out with you, I'll never have to worry about not having girls to talk to~"
"Maybe."
Ethan remained noncommittal.
I focused solely on stuffing the last piece of coffee pudding into my mouth, filling the empty space in my second stomach.
hiccup~
cool.
soon.
Once the students had finished eating and drinking, the food on the long table disappeared, and the table returned to its tidy state.
Dumbledore stood in front of the brass megaphone, where a sculpted golden owl lazily spread its wings.
"Attention, attention, children. Before you return to your dormitories, I have a few things to tell you."
"First of all, students are strictly prohibited from entering the forest. I think you are aware of the dangers involved."
"Secondly, the administrator, Filch, also asked me to remind everyone not to cast spells in the hallways during breaks."
"Finally, anyone who does not wish to encounter an accident and die a painful death should not enter the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor."
This statement came out.
Quiet conversations broke out among the four colleges.
"Strange," Michael frowned and muttered, "If the Forbidden Forest is infested with dangerous wildlife, which is why people aren't allowed to approach it, then what's on the fourth floor?"
"His vague explanation only makes people more curious, as if he's deliberately trying to provoke them to explore."
"I suspect some of the brutes from Gryffindor are already planning to sneak down to the fourth-floor corridor to find out what's going on."
Michael chuckled.
Yes, that's pretty much it.
Being assigned to Ravenclaw certainly wasn't just about his wits in charming young girls.
Ethan glanced at Michael and thought to himself.
Ethan naturally knew what was inside.
The Cerberus House, a masterpiece contributed by Hagrid and left by Dumbledore to the Savior.
It is known as "Boys and Girls Rush Forward Magic Version".
The reward for completing the level is a magic stone that can be used to refine the elixir of immortality, a treasure coveted by Voldemort.
Philosopher's Stone...
If we grind it up, could we use it as a pigment...?
Michael: "Ethan, you seem to be thinking about something dangerous."
His expression suddenly turned terrifying.
Ethan snapped out of his daze, smiled at Michael, and said gently, "No, you must have mistaken me for someone else."
"..."
Michael chuckled awkwardly and wisely refrained from pressing the matter further.
As expected of a man assigned to Azkaban, it's best not to ask too many questions.
After the chaotic school song ended, the opening ceremony officially came to a close.
By this time, the little radish heads were already slumped over with sleepiness.
Led by their respective college prefects, they filed out of the auditorium and headed to their dormitories.
"Ravenclaw freshmen, please follow me," prefect Robert Hilliard called out.
Seeing Ethan, he smiled smugly:
"I knew you'd come to Ravenclaw."
Ethan: "Really? I thought I'd be going to Hufflepuff."
Robert: "Haha, that's a really funny joke."
Ethan: "..."
Ethan pouted indignantly.
Why should I?!
He's such a kind and warm-hearted wizard, why doesn't anyone think he'd go to Hufflepuff!
Ethan glanced coldly at the Hufflepuffs, trying to discern the difference between himself and them.
The frightened several badger cubs so much that they huddled together in fear.
"You will find that there are indeed some truly intelligent people at Hogwarts. Eagles perch on high cliffs, and our common room is located at the very top of the tower."
Robert led them upstairs while explaining the situation.
"Unlike other colleges that hide their dormitory entrances, our entrances are always open to bright people."
"As long as you answer the questions correctly, you can enter—however, this barrier has blocked all those who are not Ravenclaw students for thousands of years."
A freshman asked, "What if I can't answer that?"
Robert smiled. "Oh, then I'll have to spend the night outside."
Immediately, several freshmen stared wide-eyed in horror.
"Haha, don't worry."
"In fact, you'll find that when you get to the dormitory door, there are already many students outside thinking about it, which is also a good opportunity to make new friends."
Ethan thought what he said made a lot of sense.
Just getting to the top of the tower takes several tens of minutes.
A muscular intellectual, right?
When faced with a dispute, should you persuade others with reason?
Along the way, Robert carefully explained the history of Ravenclaw to them.
But soon, even his voice disappeared.
—I'm exhausted.
A group of people climbed up silently, panting heavily.
"Wait, wait until I get my flying broomstick," Michael said haltingly, "I'm going to fly up this damn tower from the outside!"
"Be careful of broom rash."
Ethan muttered something, earning a horrified look from Michael.
In fact, the reason no one did this was because the Ravenclaw Tower was enchanted.
You can't break through the window on a broom; you'll just fall down.
Finally, just as Ethan's legs began to tremble, they arrived outside the Ravenclaw common room.
however.
Seeing the group of upperclassmen standing outside deep in thought, the freshmen all felt a wave of dizziness.
The problem hasn't been solved yet...
Prefect Robert skillfully stepped forward and knocked on the bronze door knocker shaped like an eagle's head.
The eagle's beak opens and closes, producing a deep sound:
"Light and shadow are mutually dependent and mutually restraining. If only one of them remained in the world, would the other still exist?"
