Chapter 68

What's wrong with spoiling them a little?

When Shen Yi woke up, his head was still a little heavy. He blinked groggily and realized that he was lying in his familiar bedroom.

It was in Su Qiu's bedroom.

He's back here again.

He struggled to sit up, but found his whole body weak and sore that he couldn't even move a finger.

Moreover, my throat was so dry and painful, as if it had been rubbed with sandpaper.

My eyes hurt a bit too; I've been crying for too long.

The surroundings were quiet, and Su Qiu's clothes, which were usually scattered everywhere, had been put away somewhere, making the whole room look much tidier.

However, Su Qiu's flavor is still there.

I feel so relieved.

Shen Yi looked around, but couldn't find Su Qiu.

"Damn woman... I'm about to fall apart." Shen Yi cursed under his breath, his voice hoarse.

He had no recollection of how he got back from the mall, only vaguely remembering the chaos in the fitting room and his subsequent disheveled state.

Did Su Qiu drag him back?

There must have been quite a few people who saw that.

How embarrassing.

So, how long did this guy actually mess around with it?

He closed his eyes in frustration, feeling utterly exhausted, barely having the energy to even complain.

Shen Yi was nestled in the warm blankets, the faint scent of shower gel lingering in the air, but he felt a little flustered.

Could Su Qiu have run away again?

She's always like that, appearing and disappearing without a trace.

Thinking about this makes me feel empty, like something is missing.

Come to think of it, I'm actually starting to miss her a little...

But then she remembered what happened in the mall, and her cheeks flushed red again.

She really went too far, actually picking him up completely.

The mirror clearly showed it; his appearance was simply unbearable to look at.

Damn woman!

"Mmm..."

Shen Yi couldn't help but groan twice, a wave of shame washing over him.

She squirmed and twisted in bed like a restless little fish, her movements carrying a hint of unknowing tenderness.

With a "click," the door was pushed open.

Su Qiu walked in and saw this scene.

A lump swelled up in the blankets, wriggling around like a maggot.

She raised an eyebrow, walked over to the bedside, and stared down at it.

Then, he slowly said, "So full of energy? Looks like you weren't tired yesterday. How about... another three hours?"

Shen Yi's movements froze abruptly, as if all the blood in his body rushed to his head.

Her face turned red from her neck to her ears, looking just like a boiled mantis shrimp.

"Su Qiu!!! Get out of here!!!"

He roared as if his hair had stood on end, his voice distorted.

Su Qiu smiled and didn't move an inch: "I'm not leaving."

Shen Yi buried his face in the blanket, puffing out his cheeks, only his messy hair showing, and his voice came out in a muffled tone:

"Didn't you leave?"

Su Qiu sat down on the edge of the bed and gently poked a clump of something under the covers with her fingertip:

"Who said I left?"

Shen Yi peeked out from under the covers with a pair of watery eyes, filled with a hint of grievance and accusation:

"Didn't you always do this? You'd eat your fill, put on your pants, and leave, and then you wouldn't be able to contact me for days."

Seeing his expression, Su Qiu's gaze softened, and she said succinctly:

"I've been free lately."

Shen Yi's heart stirred; in fact, he had always been very curious about what Su Qiu did for a living.

But she never answered his questions, so he didn't press her further.

Su Qiu didn't say anything more, and patted the quilt: "Do you want to get up? It's already noon, get up and eat."

"I need to wash up," Shen Yi immediately seized the opportunity and said matter-of-factly, "You help me."

Without saying a word, Su Qiu bent down and picked him up horizontally.

"Hello!"

Shen Yi was startled and instinctively wrapped his arms around her neck, his cheeks burning again. "I can walk by myself..."

"Save your energy." Su Qiu glanced down at him, then walked steadily toward the bathroom. "So you don't complain about being tired later."

Shen Yi: "..."

Can't this woman say something serious?!

Su Qiu carried Shen Yi into the bathroom.

Shen Yi was being treated like an emperor.

Su Qiu served water and towels, and even squeezed toothpaste for brushing teeth, taking care of everything perfectly.

When it was time to get dressed, Su Qiu picked up his underwear and put it on him.

My fingers instinctively wanted to adjust the position of the little bird so that it wouldn't be uncomfortable for him.

"I can do it myself!"

Shen Yi reacted as if he had been burned, abruptly shaking off her hand, his ears instantly turning bright red.

He awkwardly adjusted himself, looked down, and suddenly froze.

She then abruptly raised her head to look at Su Qiu, her eyes filled with a mixture of panic and embarrassment.

Su Qiu met his gaze, her face expressionless, as if to say:

What's the difference?

Shen Yi felt even more embarrassed by her frankness, and his cheeks turned as red as if they were about to bleed.

After that, he wouldn't let Su Qiu continue to help, no matter what.

"I'll wear it myself!" He grabbed the coat, turned his back, and awkwardly put it on.

Su Qiu didn't insist and straightened up, saying, "Get dressed and come downstairs for dinner."

"Um."

Shen Yi responded with his back to her, his voice muffled, and his ears were bright red.

During the meal, Su Qiu took even better care of him, peeling shrimp and handing them to Shen Yi's bowl.

The fish bones were carefully removed, and the soup was even cooled until it was no longer too hot to drink before being served.

This whole setup completely treated him like a child who needed to be protected.

Shen Yi felt uncomfortable being served so attentively. He didn't say anything, but his heart felt like it was filled with a warm piece of candy.

I felt both awkward and strangely satisfied, and ended up eating half a bowl more of food.

In Su Qiu's mind, Little Xitian was cracking virtual melon seeds and smacking his lips:

"Host, how come this little villain has become a child? Wasn't he quite angry just a few days ago? You've spoiled him like a child."

Su Qiu casually placed a piece of green vegetable on Shen Yi's plate, retorting:

"She's mine, so what's wrong with me spoiling her a little?"

Xiao Xitian: "Now you know she's yours? Why weren't you more careful when you were doing 'that'? You made her so tired she could barely walk."

Su Qiu raised an eyebrow: "What do guys without wives know? Find a wife first."

Xiao Xitian exploded: "I'm a data system! Not a flesh-and-blood person! How can I have any experiences?"

Su Qiu: "Oh, lousy data about not having a wife."

Xiao Xitian instantly flew into a rage: "I'm going to activate the electric shock program and shock you!"

Su Qiu curled her lips into a smile, a hint of mockery in her eyes: "Come on, let me have some fun. Maybe I'm a masochist."

Xiao Xitian (in a state of impotent rage): "Su Qiu! You've gone too far!!!"

As Su Qiu listened to the system's roar in his mind, the smile on his lips deepened.

Then, turning to look at Shen Yi, she saw that he had almost finished his rice and naturally reached out to take the bowl from him: "Would you like some more?"

Shen Yi paused for a moment, then nodded subconsciously: "Mm."

Watching Su Qiu turn away to serve rice, he touched his burning ears.

The awkwardness in my heart quietly subsided, leaving only a warm feeling.
