Chapter 18
I'll Take Your Dog's Life
"You're asking for it!" Chen Huan's eyes were practically spitting fire.
She stepped forward, raised her leg, and kicked the man's big buttocks.
Before the guy could react, he yelled and rolled off the desk.
It slammed hard against the wall, bounced off, and landed on the ground, wincing in pain and rolling its eyes.
"How are you?" Chen Huan quickly came to Li Chunlan's side.
At this moment, Li Chunlan's floral dress had been lifted up to her stomach, and the last remaining line of defense between her two long white legs had been torn in half.
Fortunately, Chen Huan arrived in time; if he had been half a minute later, he probably wouldn't have made it.
Upon seeing Chen Huan, Li Chunlan first breathed a sigh of relief, then nervously explained, "I've been fighting tooth and nail to prevent him from succeeding, don't worry..."
Chen Huan nodded. "I know."
While they were talking, he straightened Li Chunlan's skirt and helped her to her feet.
When facing Li Chunlan, Chen Huan's expression was one of pity and gentleness.
The tone of voice was also extremely gentle.
"You bastard, where did you come from, daring to ruin my plans?"
"Do you even know where you are? Have you ever thought about living?" Zhang Mazi, who had just gotten up from the wall, adjusted his belt with one hand and grabbed an ashtray from the table with the other.
His eyes flashed fiercely, and he glared at them instantly.
"Watch out!" Li Chunlan screamed in fright.
Chen Huan had noticed it long ago, his sharp eyes accurately capturing the other party's movement trajectory.
Just before the ashtray hit him, he reached out and grabbed the other person's wrist, then quickly snatched the ashtray away.
He slapped Zhang Mazi's fat, speckled face with his backhand.
Zhang Mazi had a big, noticeable nose.
But this blow flattened his face completely, causing a comminuted fracture of his nasal bridge, making it as flat as it could possibly be.
"Ouch, it hurts so much!" Zhang Mazi fell backward onto the ground, covering his face and screaming like a pig being slaughtered.
"Help! Someone's been murdered!"
"Aren't you going to come and help?"
As soon as he shouted those two times, people outside started cursing and barging into the house.
Leading the group were two burly men, wielding wooden clubs and machetes, looking menacing.
Chen Huan was furious and had nowhere to vent his anger.
He threw out the ashtray and knocked down the first guy who came in.
Then he kicked another person in the face, sending him flying three or four meters away, where he landed with a loud thud.
There were other people behind them who were clamoring to come in and help.
Upon seeing Chen Huan's incredible prowess, his legs immediately went numb, and he turned and fled without hesitation.
"Chen Huan, let's go." Li Chunlan straightened her clothes and disheveled hair, and approached Chen Huan in a soft voice.
"I have to kill someone before I leave," Chen Huan said in a cold and ruthless tone.
The moment he turned his gaze over, Zhang Mazi, whose face was covered in blood from his nose, almost peed his pants in fright.
He shuffled along the ground to the corner of the wall, waving his hands repeatedly, "Don't joke around, brother, murder is punishable by death."
"I didn't know she was your woman. I was just trying to have some fun. Isn't it enough that I apologize?"
Chen Huan picked up a wooden chair next to him and smashed it down on his head. "Just for fun?"
Are you happy now?
Answer me!
Zhang Mazi felt like he was half dead, his head was spinning and he could see his great-grandmother at any moment.
His survival instinct made him forcefully open his mouth, "I'll never do it again. I'll kowtow to you both. Just tell me what you want."
"Spare my life, I have an eighty-year-old mother to support..."
Chen Huan picked up another chair, which startled Li Chunlan so much that she clung to him tightly.
Because he was hugging her so tightly, the bulging mass through Chen Huan's sweat-soaked t-shirt made him feel restless.
"Chunlan, let go. I'm going to kill him today." Chen Huan felt his mouth was dry.
Li Chunlan hugged him even tighter, saying, "A life for a life! If you die, who will I rely on?"
"He's already learned his lesson; he only touched me twice."
Zhang Mazi nodded vigorously, "Yes, I only had time to touch it twice..."
Chen Huan gritted her teeth, "Which hand touched you?"
Zhang Mazi held out his right hand. "This one."
As soon as he finished speaking, Chen Huan threw a stool at him.
With a snap, Zhang Mazi's right arm broke off in at least three pieces, twisted like a pretzel.
He was in so much pain that he rolled on the ground, his screams sending chills down anyone's spine.
"You got off easy." Chen Huan threw away the remaining half of the chair.
He took two steps towards the door, then came back. "By the way, do you want to call the police or something?"
Zhang Mazi was in so much pain he was almost fainting, but he still shook his head and said, "No need to trouble the police officers. I'll just go to the hospital to see a doctor myself later."
"He's quite sensible." Chen Huan glared at him, then helped Li Chunlan, whose legs were weak, to walk out.
Zhang Mazi's men avoided him like the plague, quickly keeping their distance and looking at Chen Huan with deep fear in their eyes.
A moment later, on the way back to the village.
Chen Huan pushed his bicycle with a gloomy face, remaining silent.
Li Chunlan, who was following behind, took two quick steps and grabbed his arm. "Are you angry with me?"
Chen Huan stopped and sighed. "I'm angry with myself."
"I failed to convince you that I had the ability to support a family, and I didn't take good care of you, leaving such a beautiful woman like you to go out and work, only to be taken advantage of by others..."
Li Chunlan's expression was complicated as she cupped Chen Huan's face in her hands. "You might as well slap me twice for saying that."
"I know you're doing this for my own good. I'll listen to you from now on and I'll never go out to work for others again, okay?"
Chen Huan raised an eyebrow. "You'll listen to everything I say?"
"What about those I didn't have time to try last night..."
Li Chunlan reached out and pinched his waist. "You little rascal, I was so worried about you, and you still had the mind to think about that kind of thing."
"Are you deliberately giving me that sour look so I can beg you?"
"I'll teach you to be so cocky. Tonight, I'll make sure your legs go weak..."
A surge of anger welled up inside Chen Huan.
Looking around, he said, "Let's not wait until tonight. Zhao Liying is at home, so it's inconvenient to do anything."
"This place seems quite secluded, and there's hardly anyone around. How about... we go over there and cool off?"
Li Chunlan's face flushed red with embarrassment, and she pinched Chen Huan twice more. "Are you crazy? If someone sees this, how am I supposed to live?"
"Let's think of something tonight. There's a saying that goes, 'Where there's a will, there's a way.'"
Chen Huan almost couldn't help but laugh. Is this the same thing as that?
Actually, he just said all that because he wanted to tease Li Chunlan.
My physical condition is really too poor right now, and I really can't risk letting my vital energy stagnate.
Everything will have to wait until after we've gathered the herbs and improved our physical condition before we can consider anything else.
I guess I'll have to eat vegetarian food for the next few days.
She stepped forward, raised her leg, and kicked the man's big buttocks.
