Chapter 24

: Even if you gave me ginseng, I wouldn't eat it.

Chen Huan suddenly felt that the name Jin Dacheng sounded familiar.

Follow the sound and look in that direction.

I saw a small, inconspicuous shop on the side of the intersection, with a narrow signboard hanging above it.

"Jin Yu Yuan Antiques..." Chen Huan read out the shop's name.

Then it dawned on him, "Isn't this the guy who bought my ginseng yesterday?"

At that moment, the shop door suddenly opened, and a slightly overweight middle-aged man with a slicked-back hairstyle was pushed out, tumbling and crawling.

She lost her footing and fell right next to Chen Huan's bicycle.

A burly man in a suit chased after him, baring his teeth, looking like he was about to beat him up.

The man with the slicked-back hair said with a bitter face, "I bought this ginseng from someone else. If you're so capable, go find him."

"How was I supposed to know it was a fake?"

Chen Huan kicked him in the butt. "What nonsense are you talking about? That ginseng is even more authentic than Li Shizhen's, how can it be fake?"

The man with the slicked-back hair looked up in surprise, his mouth agape. "It's you, kid."

He immediately reached out and grabbed Chen Huan's bicycle wheel, saying to the man in the suit, "Grab him, you bought the ginseng from him."

"This kid walked right into our trap. It's like heaven hasn't forsaken me."

Chen Huan hadn't even had a chance to speak.

The man in the suit pointed his finger directly at his nose, "Is what Kim Dae-sung said true? The ginseng comes from your place?"

Chen Huan pushed the other person's hand away. "Don't you know any manners?"

"I did sell him a ginseng root yesterday, but it was genuine. As for what exactly happened to him, I don't know."

"It's that ginseng that caused the problem. The other party has already brought it. Do you dare to identify it?" Jin Dacheng helped himself up by the wheel, looking furious.

He was covered in dust, his hair was messy, and his face was bruised; he must have just been beaten up.

His disheveled appearance was a stark contrast to his arrogant demeanor yesterday.

Chen Huan was filled with regret. He should have known better than to watch this spectacle. Now the trouble had fallen on his own head, and there was no escaping it.

Since we can't avoid it, let's get to the bottom of this.

Chen Huan casually parked his bicycle, then looked at Jin Dacheng's shop. "Let's go. I want to see how you turn my genuine ginseng into fake."

Kim Dae-sung immediately led the way. Now that someone was taking the blame for him, he seemed much more relaxed.

The man in the suit glared fiercely at Chen Huan, then glanced at Jin Dacheng. "Anyway, no matter who you are, you have to give me an explanation today."

"Otherwise, you'll regret it!"

Chen Huan was too lazy to pay attention to him and followed Jin Dacheng into the so-called antique shop.

It was actually a very shabby place, a small space of about seven or eight square meters, with a few antiques or similar items of unknown authenticity displayed in a glass cabinet.

Outside, there were gourds, bodhi seeds, bracelets, walnuts, and the like.

"This is what you call antiques?" Chen Huan asked with disdain.

"Don't be fooled by what's displayed outside; everything inside the counter is genuine." Kim Dae-sung said somewhat reluctantly.

"Hey, why is there someone here?" Chen Huan took a couple of steps inside and noticed an old sofa next to the shelf.

A woman of marriageable age was sitting on the sofa with her arms crossed and legs folded over her shoulders.

She has a slender figure overall but is plump in some areas. She is dressed quite fashionably and has a stylish look.

"This is the victim, the one harmed by your fake ginseng," Jin Dacheng nudged Chen Huan twice and introduced in a low voice.

"What exactly happened? What about the ginseng?" Chen Huan was completely confused.

"Are you blind? Can't you see?" The man in the suit pushed a rather large thermos flask over from the side.

"Chicken soup?" Chen Huan glanced at it, smelled it, and thought it smelled pretty good.

"This must be free-range chicken. It's stewed perfectly, and there are ginseng slices in it too." Chen Huan picked up the thermos, shook it gently, and then began to comment.

"This ginseng slice is utter bullshit, clearly counterfeit!"

"My husband felt unwell after drinking it, and our milk supply stopped."

"I called a doctor in the province and he said that drinking ginseng soup shouldn't cause these symptoms unless there's something wrong with the ginseng," the man in the suit angrily rebuked.

Chen Huan's eye twitched. "Just because of this?"

"You're all dressed up in a suit and tie, you look like a successful person, don't you know any common sense?"

"Ginseng is a nourishing substance, but it depends on who you give it to."

"If you supplement properly, it will naturally beautify your skin, prolong your life, and make you live longer. If you supplement improperly, it may be fatal. As for not producing milk, you have to find the root cause."

As he spoke, Chen Huan glanced at the young woman.

"Where the hell are you looking? Believe me or not, I'll gouge your eyes out!" The man in the suit clenched his fists, growing increasingly angry.

The young woman raised her face and glared at Chen Huan. "What is the root cause? Tell me."

"Our daughter has no milk to drink right now, it's all your fault, you have to compensate us!"

Chen Huan grinned. "I don't have that function either, so it's no use asking me."

While they were talking, Chen Huan kept staring at the young woman from head to toe, making her blush.

The man in the suit was about to lose his temper again when Chen Huan pointed directly at the young woman's crotch, "Right here. Her meridians are blocked and her heart fire is stagnant. She should eat something light to cool down."

"As a result, they even made ginseng chicken soup, which made the original symptoms even worse."

"It would be strange if the milk came out at all."

The young woman stood up abruptly, her chest puffed out angrily, "You're quite the troublemaker! What's wrong with me? What's not going on?"

To be fair, the person in front of me has a naturally gifted physique.

She had just given birth, but her waist was only a hand's width wide, and there was no excess fat on her legs or face.

Ironically, that conspicuous location is extremely rich in content.

Chen Huan clicked his tongue, "There's no point in arguing like this."

"How about this? I happen to know a bit about traditional Chinese medicine, so I can help you clear your channels."

"What did you say? Who are you going to call? Are you looking for death?" The man in the suit clenched his fist and punched him directly.

Chen Huan casually blocked him, causing him to stumble and fall heavily onto the sofa.

He then frowned and said, "I've put up with you for a long time. Let's talk this out and not resort to violence."

"If a fight really breaks out, I'm afraid you won't be able to handle it."

"I've explained it very clearly just now. Your baby is simply suffering from internal heat. She's been taking too many supplements and drinking such good ginseng chicken soup, which is why her milk supply has temporarily stopped."

"If you insist that this ginseng is fake, I can accompany you to a specialized institution in the county to have it tested. However, that would take up a lot of time, and your daughter is waiting to be breastfed, isn't she?"

"I have indeed studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and am proficient in massage. Just give me three minutes, and I guarantee your husband will feel relaxed and comfortable."

Seeing the man in the suit's expression change again, Chen Huan added, "I meant the meridians are unobstructed. Don't overthink it. We're respectable people."
