Chapter 31

Encountering Obstacles Before the Startup is Halfway Through

"What's that bastard doing here?" Chen Huan knew something bad was going to happen as soon as he saw Zhao Dashan.

Sure enough, Zhao Dashan stared at Chen Huan's farm tricycle and the large plastic bucket.

After glancing at it twice, he asked in a cold voice, "What do you want?"

Chen Huan glanced at him sideways, "Does Grandpa need to tell you, his grandson, what he's doing?"

"What do you do for a living?"

Zhao Dashan was so angry that his eyes turned red. "Chen Huan, don't be so arrogant."

Have you ever heard the saying, "When the sky is arrogant, it rains; when a person is arrogant, disaster strikes"?

Chen Huan pouted. "So, what do you want?"

"Want to come over and spar with me? This time, do you want to break my leg, or something else?"

Zhao Dashan still has a sling on his arm; he was beaten up by Chen Huan last time.

In the past, he was definitely the best in the village when it came to fighting skills.

As a result, Chen Huan beat him up like a little chick, leaving him with no chance to fight back.

Now, naturally, he wouldn't dare to get physical with Chen Huan.

He simply took out his phone, dialed a number, and angrily said, "Bring your men here right now! That brat Chen Huan is trying to steal our fish!"

Hearing him say that, Chen Huan's heart skipped a beat.

He had a premonition that his fishing career was coming to an end.

We had been warned before that the river outside the village belonged to the Zhao family.

Just as I was getting ready to fish, that bastard Zhao Dashan started causing trouble.

However, Chen Huan wasn't too worried.

As the saying goes, when soldiers come, generals will block them; when water comes, earth will dam it.

With his current skills, he has nothing to fear from anyone, let alone just a few village thugs.

He leaned leisurely against the back of the farm tricycle, took out a cigarette and lit it.

When Zhao Dashan saw the cigarette Chen Huan was smoking, he became even angrier.

Didn't you just steal it from him? You even took the lighter.

"That wretched bastard, why doesn't he just get struck by lightning?"

"Let's see how long you can keep up this arrogance!" Zhao Dashan cursed viciously.

Before long, Zhao Siming arrived at the riverbank with his relatives from the Zhao family.

Before the person even arrived, they started shouting, "What's going on? Who's trying to steal fish? Don't they know there's a law?"

Zhao Dashan immediately stood up straight. "Dad, it was Chen Huan who stole our fish."

Zhao Siming arrived at the riverbank with a gloomy face, but first glared at Zhao Dashan and scolded, "Nonsense, how can these be our fish?"

"These are clearly fish from our Lotus Village. They are the common property of all the villagers, understand?"

Zhao Dashan was stunned for a moment, then nodded vigorously, "I understand, Dad. That brat Chen Huan wanted to steal our village's fish. He's really wicked."

"Really, Chen Huan?"

"Are you so desperate for money, or do you simply not understand the law? You want to take over collective property as your private property? How shameless can you be?" Zhao Siming looked at Chen Huan with a forced smile.

Chen Huan grinned. "You bastard, why are you swearing at me like that?"

"You!" Zhao Siming's face darkened, and he was so angry that he was about to explode on the spot.

For years, no one had dared to be so presumptuous in front of him, but Chen Huan was an exception.

However, knowing that he couldn't be dealt with by force, Chen Siming abandoned that approach.

He wanted to see what Chen Huan would say next.

"Since you say this is everyone's fish, then as a member of this village, is it okay for me to take out my share?" Chen Huan asked seriously.

Zhao Siming snorted, "Bullshit, you really have no sense of collectivism whatsoever."

"If we really want to catch fish, it has to be done with the supervision of all the villagers, and then we can sell the fish together and use the money where it's needed."

Chen Huan responded with an "Oh," and then asked, "This so-called 'place to be used,' could it be the place your Zhao family wants to use?"

"As far as I know, this river produces a lot of freshwater fish every year, but I've never heard of the villagers receiving even a penny of it."

"During holidays and festivals, even getting a fish is a luxury. How dare you, the village chief, lecture me?"

Zhao Siming remained unfazed, pointed at Chen Huan, and said, "You don't need to spread rumors here. Justice will prevail."

"But no matter what, you won't be catching a single fish out of this river today."

"Also, didn't you catch some fish here and sell them in town before?"

"Don't think you can escape my eyes with your little tricks."

"Hand over the money you made from selling fish, and it will be confiscated."

"Otherwise, don't blame me for charging you with damaging public property and sending you to the police station."

Chen Huan wasn't nervous at all.

He knew that Zhao Siming wouldn't dare to call the police.

Zhao Dahe made him beat him so badly, but he didn't call the police. It's clear that he was in the wrong.

They knew that if the village's affairs were to be publicized, it would not do the Zhao family any good.

He came here to show off, simply because he wanted to cut off his source of income from catching and selling fish.

It's truly a case of encountering a hurdle before even starting a business.

Chen Huan is genuinely a little worried right now.

He originally thought that Zhao Siming and the others would at most say that the river had been contracted by their Zhao family or something like that.

Then I can ask them to show me something like the contract.

But this old dog was clearly more cunning and treacherous than he had imagined.

They actually said with righteous indignation that this belonged to the collective.

This left Chen Huan with no openings to attack.

Chen Huan sat on the back of the tricycle and smoked a whole cigarette, but still couldn't find a solution.

He appeared calm and composed, but in reality, he was full of bitterness.

Zhao Dashan seemed to realize that Chen Huan was out of ideas, and immediately started to mock him, "How about that, kid? Out of ideas, huh?"

"From now on, as soon as you leave the village and head this way, someone will be watching you."

"Let's see what you'll use to sell for money. With so many people in your family, you'll starve to death!"

The other members of the Zhao family nearby joined in the teasing, laughing and joking. They said it wasn't likely that Li Chunlan would starve to death. "I think Li Chunlan is quite pretty. If she ever gets too hungry to survive, she can come to my place, and I can provide her with a few meals."

"The main problem is that we can't walk at night..."

A group of people were saying increasingly vulgar and offensive things.

Chen Huan squinted as he finished his cigarette, then stood up and jumped off the back of the tricycle.

He walked straight up to the guy who had spoken the loudest earlier.

"What do you want to do?" The other party was all bark and no bite, trying to intimidate Chen Huan by relying on their numbers.

Chen Huan grinned and said, "You just said, what happened to Li Chunlan?"

"I said..." The man had barely opened his mouth when...

Chen Huan immediately raised his hand and slapped him across the face.

With a snap, he was spun around in place like a top.

It rolled twice before finally falling into the river, swallowing several mouthfuls of water and almost not making it back up.

"Aren't you going to do anything about it?" The person who fell into the water covered his swollen cheek and spat out a few broken teeth.

As a result, the relatives of Old Zhao's family next door could only be angry but dared not speak out.

No one went to help.

Chen Huan raised an eyebrow. "Who else was chiming in just now?"

Say one more thing.
