Chapter 20

Frost Potion

The dungeon resembled an ancient tomb, with a dark, downward-facing entrance visible on the ground.

The surrounding trees were all fallen, showing signs of crystallization.

Some trees even grew facial features, their branches transforming into withered claws. They wandered aimlessly around, mercilessly destroying everything within a two-hundred-meter radius of the dungeon.

Two hundred meters away, various animals were also corroded, twisted into all sorts of hideous shapes. The only thing they had in common was that these things all had more or less crystal scales on them.

The adventurers had set off very early, but when they arrived in the vicinity, they were completely dumbfounded.

Is this dungeon that strong?

Glico and Hudson, hiding far away, watched the situation around the dungeon and couldn't help but swallow hard.

"Glico, haven't you seen dungeons elsewhere? Have you ever seen any other dungeons that look like this?" Hudson asked in a low voice.

Everyone else was looking at Glico.

"How is that possible?" Gree said in a low voice. "The dungeons I've seen all spawned elemental creatures or undead creatures. But look at this dungeon, it's already spawned treants!"

"If this continues to spread, the number of tree people will likely increase."

He was somewhat worried.

But Harrison quickly said, "If you want to die, go ahead. I'm not going. Forget about those tree people. Just those twisted and corrupted animals outside could cause us casualties."

"Of course I'm not going," Glico quickly said. "Do you think I want to die?"

He muttered to himself, "When we came here, one of our brothers had his ribs shattered by a six-armed bear. He's seriously injured and unconscious, barely clinging to life. How could I possibly go?"

"Moreover, my team members don't want to take any more risks. They want to go back and treat the seriously injured guy."

Hudson said, "You mean that lucky Jel gave us the news? That an alchemist has arrived in Ghostwood?"

"Yes, I've heard it's true," said Grigory. "Do you know Baron Castor's son, Farin?"

"I know," Hudson said. "Baron Castor spent a lot of money to finally get the mage to take his son as an apprentice, but that Farin is quite promising. He's already a mage apprentice and a grown man. Who knows if he'll become the mage himself someday."

"Old John, who collects medicine, told me that Farin bought ten baskets of Life Leaves and gave them to that alchemist, right across from the quest tavern."

After discussing it, the two decided it would be better to leave first.

It's too dangerous here, let's go back and prepare.

"At least buy more healing potions, so it will be easier when exploring the dungeon later."

"Besides, the Master will definitely come. It will be safer if we come with him."

That's what Glico said.

Hudson said with some disappointment, "In that case, our gains will be greatly reduced."

"It's good enough that we're alive."

As he spoke, Glico began to slowly walk away, and Hudson reluctantly agreed with Glico's opinion.

Only after these people left did the tough guy emerge from the distance.

"These despicable humans want to steal Lord Hardbones' power!"

Hard Bone sniffed the rich magical energy around it, observing the crystal scales on those things.

The monsters generally don't attack each other, and Hardbone felt that his warriors also had crystal scales on them, so they shouldn't be attacked either.

So it called to a kobold scout: "You! Go into that cave and find the good stuff."

"Me?"

The kobold scout looked completely bewildered, glancing at the dozen or so tall tree-men and then at his own small arms and legs.

"You have crystal scales on your body; you and he are the same kind."

Hard Bones was directing the kobold scouts.

The scout was still somewhat skeptical, but after a good beating from the tough guy, the kobold scout finally began to gradually approach the vicinity of the dungeon.

I was a little nervous at first, but the monsters didn't attack.

Only then were they finally relieved, and the scouts quickly arrived at the cave entrance.

It looked inside, but it was pitch black and couldn't see anything.

It sensed something was amiss and hesitated for a moment, not daring to move forward.

So angry was he wanted to throw a fireball at it.

Fortunately, the tough guy was quite imposing. The kobold scout also found a round plate the size of a washbasin at the cave entrance. It immediately picked up the plate and prepared to go back.

"Entry prohibited!"

A treant spoke slowly, then punched the kobold scout.

The scout was completely terrified.

It was smashed straight into a pulp.

Hard Bone urged the other kobolds, "Don't be afraid, just don't go into the cave. Bring me that disc back, and I'll assign you wives."

Hard Bone stared at the disc that emanated some kind of power fluctuation, his mouth watering.

Lou Le chose to start refining the potion in the morning.

I scooped the creeping vine out of the basin and used scissors to cut off the small branches and leaves.

These branches and leaves feel soft to the touch, but once cut off, they curl up into a small ball like a spring.

Lou Le cut off seven plants and threw them into a basin of water. If she had the chance, she planned to dig a pond in the yard specifically to grow these plants.

Fill the crucible with water, and once it boils, you can start refining the potion.

Because the creeping vine was really sticky and slippery, she had to use a new stone mortar specifically to process it.

After grinding it into clumps of paste, you can pour it into a pot.

A group of twining grasses, plus a group of water flowers.

You will then be able to successfully light up the star representing the Frost Potion.

After a loud explosion and a mushroom cloud dissipated, Lou Le obtained three bottles of frost potion.

He put it in a bottle and observed it with the Eye of Grandet.

[Mild Frost Potion]

It is an alchemical potion.

"A weak frost potion made by the little witch; it can be thrown directly."

(Note: This area covers a radius of five meters. Please use with caution.)

"Hmm, my arm strength doesn't seem to be very strong."

Lou Le muttered to himself.

While addiction can increase physical fitness, it generally increases stamina and endurance.

Strength, on the other hand, only increases one's potential strength.

Only through training will this potential power become real power. The higher the potential power, the easier the training will be.

However, Lou Le had never exercised!
