Chapter 47
I am a die-hard fan of the Hall of Offerings
"Because he's ranked seventh," Guangling replied, without thinking much of it.
It's normal for Ning Shu to have this problem.
Seventh?
Ning Shu pouted, "Seven?"
She muttered to herself for a while, then suddenly remembered something, "He's an elder of the Spirit Hall?!"
Ning Shu asked in utter surprise.
"Yes, that's right." Guangling nodded, appearing very calm.
"Then, then, then you're also an honoree of the Spirit Hall?!" Ning Shu's eyes widened in disbelief.
[Wow! I've encountered some offerings! Wow?! I've actually met two of the seven great offerings?!]
He heard Ning Shu's surprised voice beside him. He raised an eyebrow, looked up at the person in front of him, put down his fork, and said with a hint of amusement, resting his chin on his hand, "What's wrong? Don't you know?"
Even though they knew about the Seven Great Masters, why did they still act so surprised?
This little girl is really interesting.
Pretend?
They're putting on quite a convincing act.
"I, of course I don't know!" Ning Shu was extremely excited. She never thought that she would be able to see the person she wanted to see most in her lifetime. If that's the case, she can see the looks of all seven great masters today.
I'm so excited just thinking about it!
Seeing the barely concealed joy on the little girl's face, Guang Ling narrowed his eyes slightly, wondering what was making her so happy. He pursed his lips and said, "Little A-Shu, you seem quite pleased?"
"Huh?" Ning Shu composed herself. "Really?"
She tried her best to remain calm.
[Aaaaaaah! To see the Seven Great Enshriners in my lifetime is enough to make dying happy! I'm a die-hard fan! I'm a die-hard fan! I'm a die-hard fan!]
"."
Although she didn't know why Ning Shu was cursing herself like that, Guang Ling was still speechless and didn't know what to say.
He coughed lightly, trying to ease his embarrassment, but the next moment, Ning Shu stood up. "Grandpa Guangling, I'm finished eating. Let's go see my master!"
"Are you sure you're full?" Guangling couldn't help but ask, looking at the barely touched bread and milk in front of Ning Shu.
Ning Shu nodded, indicating, "Yes, I'm full!"
What's the point of eating now? The most important thing is to hurry up. If she gets pulled back suddenly, it will be a huge problem. Not only will she lose her master, but she'll also lose the handsome guy!
"Alright, as long as you're full." Guangling stood up and waved to the outside. Several maids walked in and cleaned up the remaining breakfast on the table, their faces expressionless.
Guangling said, "Tell the cook that starting tomorrow, he doesn't need to come to make breakfast anymore."
"Yes, Fifth Master." After finishing her task, the maid withdrew.
After hearing this, Ning Shu watched the maid's departing figure and asked with some doubt, "Grandpa Guangling, is this breakfast not to your liking?"
"Yeah, we don't get along at all," Guangling replied casually. He turned around and walked briskly. "Hurry up and catch up. Aren't you in a hurry to see your cheap master?"
There seemed to be a hint of displeasure in his words.
Ning Shu, somewhat confused, replied, "Oh."
Then, the person followed in Guangling's footsteps.
The two arrived at the Demon Subduing Hall, which was not far from the Guangling Hall, one after the other.
Compared to the Hall of Radiant Feathers, the architecture of the Demon Subduing Hall is much simpler and more understated, lacking excessive ornate colors and gemstones, and leaning towards darker and cooler tones.
The moment Ning Shu followed Guang Ling into the main hall of the Demon Subduing Palace, she smelled a spicy aroma emanating from the food.
"You finished eating so quickly?"
