Chapter 76

The Sealed Demon

Following the direction of the Tyrannosaurus's gaze, everyone could indeed see two unconscious people lying on the golden sand, but they were too far away to tell whether they were male or female.

"Let's go take a look!" Lin Chen waved his hand and led everyone quickly toward the target location.

Upon arriving at the two unconscious people, Lin Chen discovered that they were none other than Rou Rou and Liu Meng. He immediately reached out to check their breathing and found that although their breathing was weak, they were still alive. They had likely fainted due to severe dehydration.

Lin Chen helped Liu Meng up and was about to feed him some water when he was surprised to find that Liu Meng's left arm was empty.

Lifting Liu Mengdi's sleeve, Lin Chen discovered that Liu Mengdi's left arm was missing from the shoulder, and was now tightly wrapped in a layer of gauze, with faint traces of scarlet blood seeping from the gauze.

"Damn it!" Lin Chen slammed his fist heavily on the sand, then immediately realized something and hurriedly looked towards Rou Rou.

Fortunately, after a thorough examination, Mu Nujiao confirmed that Rou Rou was safe and sound, without any injuries.

After the two drank some water, Lin Chen and the others waited for a few minutes. Then, a soft "hmm" was heard, and Rou Rou and Liu Meng woke up one after the other.

"Lin Chen? Master Lingling? Miss Mu?! Why are you all here?!" Liu Meng had barely finished speaking when a piercing pain shot through his left arm.

"We're here to rescue you!" Lin Chen explained briefly, then immediately asked, "Where are Sister Lin and Brother Zhang? Where are they? And Brother Liu, how did you get injured?"

"Thank you!" Liu Meng said first, and then briefly described what had happened.

At the beginning, just like Lin Chen and the others, as soon as they entered the Bewildering Valley, they arrived at the forest they had been in before and found that the entrance behind them had disappeared.

Unlike others, Liu Meng and the others did not discover the patterns on the tree, nor did they attack the tree's roots. Instead, they slept through the night and woke up the next day to find themselves in this desert. At this point, he and Rou Rou had already separated from Zhang Tian and Liu Lin.

As for the wound on Liu Meng's arm, it was accidentally cut off by a scorpion-like demon during a battle with demons in the desert. If Rou Rou hadn't reacted in time, Liu Meng might have been killed by the demon at that moment.

"Demons? This place is desolate, where could there be any demons?" Mu Nujiao stood up and looked around warily.

"Miss Mu, you still lack experience." Liu Meng smiled and explained, "In the desert, demons usually hide under the sand."

Upon hearing this, Lin Chen suddenly sensed something was wrong with the sand around him and shouted loudly, "Everyone, be careful!"

As Lin Chen finished speaking, a sudden rustling sound rang out, moving rapidly toward the group from afar.

When they were more than ten meters away from the group, Lin Chen and the others could clearly see something moving under the sand.

"Gabumon, protect Brother Liu and Sister Rou Rou!" Lin Chen instructed.

With a loud "boom," a huge black shadow burst out of the sand. Its body was as thick as a bucket, but its speed was as fast as lightning. In an instant, it fiercely pounced on the group.

But just as the figure leaped into the air, it was grabbed by the Tyrannosaurus's two claws and torn in two with a forceful pull.

At this moment, everyone could clearly see the identity of the dark figure: it was a large snake that was over ten meters long.

"Luckily you arrived in time, otherwise Rou Rou and I might have been killed by snakes," Liu Meng said.

After Liu Meng and Rou Rou had recovered some of their strength, Ling Ling looked up at the sun in the sky and chose a direction to continue forward.

Unlike the previous forest, the entire desert had no reference points or array foundations with any special patterns. Apart from the sun constantly radiating intense heat from the sky, there was only endless yellow sand.

They had only been traveling for a short while in the desert when Wang Min, who was at the front, discovered danger again.

Almost five meters in front of Wang Min, a brownish-yellow lizard suddenly sprang out of the yellow sand, opened its blood-red mouth, and lunged at Wang Min.

"Earth wave - displacement!"

Wang Min manipulated the quicksand to move backward, while the Gilbeast rushed forward, wielding its sharp claws and slamming them heavily onto the brown lizard's forehead, sending it flying.

"Shhh~ Shhh!"

Just as the Gilbeast repelled a brownish-yellow lizard, more than a dozen brownish-yellow lizards emerged from the yellow sand, roaring and charging towards Lin Chen and the others as if they had gone mad.

"Sister Rou Rou, can you still cast mind-based magic?" Lin Chen hurriedly asked.

"It's no use. The demons in this valley are not affected by mind magic, otherwise Brother Liu wouldn't have been so badly injured," Rou Rou said.

"Demon Tree - Vines - Bind!"

Just as a dozen or so brownish-yellow lizards were about to rush towards her, Mu Nujiao waved her right hand forward, and a green seed landed on the sand. In an instant, a large number of vines swarmed out, binding all the brownish-yellow lizards in place.

The brown lizards struggled fiercely, but under the influence of the spirit seed, they were unable to break free.

Seeing this, Lin Chen drew the star map in an instant and threw a punch. A giant flame roared towards the brownish-yellow lizards, instantly setting them all on fire. By the time the flame went out again, the dozen or so brownish-yellow lizards in front of him had been burned to a crisp.

After dealing with this group of demons, Lin Chen and his companions continued their journey.

As they ventured deeper into the desert, Lin Chen discovered that the number of demons in this desert far exceeded that of the previous forest. If it weren't for the presence of Tyrannomon, a leader-level Digimon, they would likely have been overwhelmed and killed by the demons in the desert through a relentless attack.

After dealing with two more groups of demons, Lin Chen and his companions continued in the same direction and did not encounter any more demons on the rest of their journey.

After they climbed a high sand dune, Wang Min suddenly shouted, "Look! There's an oasis ahead!"

Lin Chen and the others raised their heads and looked into the distance. Sure enough, not far ahead, there was the shadow of an oasis.

"An oasis will appear in this place? Could it be a trap?" Lin Chen asked.

"Whether it's a scam or not, that must be the variable in this desert, and we have to go check it out," Lingling replied.

The group quickened their pace and soon arrived at the oasis.

The oasis is not large, but in its center there is a crack more than three meters wide, and a staircase leads directly underground.

"Let's go down and take a look!" Lingling said, her voice trembling with excitement.

Lin Chen looked around and, seeing that no one had any other opinions, took out a flashlight from his backpack and went down with Guilmon.

The stairs were very long, and we walked down for more than ten minutes without reaching the bottom, without encountering any demons along the way.

Furthermore, the deeper you go, the brighter the underground light becomes, and the more concentrated the oxygen in the air becomes, which seems to contradict common sense.

When Lin Chen and his group came down the steps, the scene before them completely shocked them.

The entire underground space was exceptionally vast, with countless demons, as if sealed away, densely packed together in the underground world.
