Chapter 11
The Room of Requirement Exploration Plan
Chapter 11 The Room of Requirement Exploration Plan
Astronomy class was only held on Wednesday evenings, and no homework was assigned during the first class of the semester. So after finishing their afternoon classes, the first-year students were left with nothing to do.
Avada Kedavra, of course, wouldn't let this precious time slip by—the address of the Room of Requirement, the most mysterious and versatile room in Hogwarts, was now firmly in his mind. And if he successfully entered the Room of Requirement, it would mean a giant leap forward in his plan: Ravenclaw's tiara, the damaged Vanishing Cabinet, and his own secret research facility…
Furthermore, there are the magical principles of the Room of Requirement, the magical structure of the Ravenclaw tiara and the Vanishing Cabinet, the fragments of Voldemort's soul, and other wondrous items. If he could fully analyze these using his magical senses and develop related spells based on them…
Avada would bet that no treasure in the magical world is as valuable to him as the Room of Requirement!
So after leaving the Transfiguration classroom, he rushed to the dining hall like the other Hufflepuffs, intending to have dinner before heading to the eighth floor.
As a Hufflepuff, you can't miss out on meals.
"Hey, Ken!"
Avada looked in the direction of the sound and saw Baron coming out of the opposite corridor alone, waving at him.
"We meet again."
He greeted his Hufflepuff classmates, then temporarily separated from the group and walked alongside Baron: "How was your first day of class?"
"Not bad." Baron's lips curled into a slight smile. "Although most of it was stuff my parents taught me, casting spells with a wand myself was definitely a completely new experience. How's it going on your end?"
"It's alright. I learned most of the spells during the summer vacation, so they weren't too difficult to pick up. Although Professor Binns' voice was a bit hypnotic in the history of magic class, the history itself is still very interesting."
"You also find the history of magic interesting?"
Baron exclaimed with a sense of joy, as if he had found a kindred spirit: "I just came from a history of magic class, and you probably can't believe it, I was the only one awake in the entire class! Even those guys who did well in class before were dozing off!"
"No need to even imagine." Avada shook her head and chuckled. "It's the same on my end. I even suspect that Professor Binns might have some talent for hypnotic magic. He had only said a few words when the whole class was already snoring, even though what he was saying was quite interesting."
"yes."
Baron remarked, "From a young age, my parents told me that the glory of our bloodline lies within history, and everything we enjoy today is a gift from history. As pure-blood wizards, it is our responsibility to remember history and safeguard the truth. Moreover, we must not only remember the honor, but also the evil deeds that tarnish that honor, and reflect upon and avoid them. Only in this way can glory accompany our bloodline and endure forever."
"Truly admirable..." Avada wanted to echo Baron's words and offer some praise, and then chat about the history of magic together, but suddenly frowned and reached out to stop Baron from moving forward.
"What's wrong?"
"There's a small trap ahead." In just a few seconds, Avada had clearly seen the structure of the magic in front of him, his brows relaxed again, and he even felt like laughing.
"Curse Stops Instantly"
He drew his wand and waved it lightly. A white light spread out and swept across the corridor ahead, turning one area into a small patch of mud. After wriggling a few times under the effect of the magic stopper, it returned to being ordinary floor tiles. Then, he casually put away his wand and turned his playful gaze to the corner to the side: "Hey, seniors, stop hiding and come out."
As soon as the words were spoken, two red-haired men who looked almost identical walked out dejectedly.
Baron's pupils contracted as he recalled the Gryffindor legend that his Slytherin senior had solemnly warned him about last night.
"Merlin's beard is a complete failure."
One of them, looking distressed, exclaimed, "The Moving Swamp we spent half a semester developing has been cracked by a kid who just learned the Levitation Charm!"
"How did you do that?"
Avada looked on with amusement at the twins scratching their heads in bewilderment and lied, "Unfortunately, I've taught myself a wide range of things, including the identification and disarming of traps from Defense Against the Dark Arts."
"You must be the troublemakers and pranksters of Gryffindor, Fred Weasley and George Weasley, right? Hufflepuff, Ken, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Oh, so it's you, the one whose name I can't even mention!"
The twins exclaimed excitedly, then turned to Baron: "Then you must be his 'apprentice'!"
"Slytherin, Baron Shafik, it's an honor to meet the two 'Mischievous Magus's'." Baron rolled his eyes and retorted without holding back.
"A prank by Magus?"
The twins were both stunned, exchanged a glance, and their eyes lit up with ecstasy.
"Why didn't we think of this title before?!"
"Haha, the ultimate achievement in pranks, comparable to 'Animagus' and 'Disguised Magus'—'Prank Magus'!"
"No wonder they're Slytherins who can be friends with Hufflepuff; their naming skills are top-notch!"
Then they ran off in a hurry, whether to escape the crime scene or to make a big show of their new title, no one knows.
Baron's forehead veins throbbed as he said angrily, "That's a derogatory term! A derogatory term! I should call them Deduction Magus!"
"Then they'll probably be even happier."
Avada laughed, "Let's wait until this title spreads, and then let Professor McGonagall, the real Animagus, deal with them. We're going to become 'Eaters' now."
"Now I finally understand why the upperclassmen had that look on their faces when they talked about those two guys yesterday. Using a concealment trap on a freshman, openly admitting to being the prankster Magus, and even trying to be like Professor McGonagall..."
"Is this how Gryffindor's courage is used?"
Even as they were almost finished eating, Baron was still somewhat indignant, and he noticeably increased the force with which he bit into the chicken leg.
……
After parting ways with Baron, Avada seized an opportunity when there weren't many people around and sneaked up to the eighth floor, arriving opposite the tapestry depicting the troll beating Barnabas. He casually used his magical senses to scan the wall that concealed the entrance to the Room of Requirement.
Hmm, I don't understand.
Let's go in and get the Horcrux.
"The Room of Requirement is only opened to those who truly need it..."
"Just kidding, nobody needs the Room of Requirement more than me. Only I know how important the things inside are."
Avada thought to himself, "I need a room to hide things, I need a room to hide things..." and walked back and forth across that section of wall three times. Instantly, the magical structure inside the wall merged with his overflowing spiritual power, undergoing an incredibly complex and strange transformation. This transformation caused a door to appear out of thin air in the wall, behind which was a suddenly appearing, incredibly vast and hidden space.
Avada pushed open the door and stepped into an incredibly spacious, brightly lit room. Even with its vast size, countless miscellaneous items still crammed almost every corner of the space. Flames burning in water, books with automatically turning pages, what appeared to be a half-finished, handcrafted golden thief…
Countless complex and unfamiliar magical structures overwhelmed Avada's magical senses, causing him a headache and making him realize that he had forgotten another value of the Room of Requirement—
Throughout Hogwarts' thousand-year history, countless students have hidden their prized creations or contraband from who-knows-where into this room, resulting in a mountain of magical items!
Moreover, their principles are mostly not complicated, at least much simpler and clearer than Horcruxes and the magical house itself. This also means that Avada will have countless research and experimental materials, and with the help of his magical senses, his progress will reach a level that others cannot imagine.
"I've gotten fat, I've gotten fat..."
He subconsciously wiped his mouth, almost enjoying himself as he fully perceived the magical structures around him that he could barely comprehend, letting countless inspirations burst forth in his mind.
At this moment, he only regretted that his memory was mediocre and he couldn't remember all those structures and fleeting inspirations!
