Chapter 4
The Great Power of Ultra Warriors
Yun Yu didn't know much about the little girl with the strange face, only that she might be the embodiment of some kind of will.
But judging from the little girl looking at the people around her and saying "save her children," it probably represents the so-called will of the Earth. Therefore, we can infer that Mother Earth is a little girl!
Cough cough cough, kicking away the thought that made her brain susceptible to electric shocks, Yun Yu finished paying the bill and began to carefully analyze the clues she had gleaned from those words.
First, we can infer from the literal meaning that if the world line collapses, the children of Mother Earth, namely humans and other creatures, will perish.
The concept of world lines is very broad. It started as a relatively hard science concept, but it has been popularized by a series of scientific works and Japanese ACG culture.
The most representative example is Steins;Gate, where a tiny choice leads history in a completely different direction, jumping to another timeline.
To put it simply, imagine the world as a videotape that is playing.
"World line" is the specific plot recorded in this videotape. If we can rewind and make different choices at a certain point, the videotape will record a completely new plot, which is to jump to another "world line".
What the little girl said means that the videotape Yunyu is currently on is being damaged or is heading towards destruction. If it is not rewound and a different choice is not made at a certain point, then this world will be destroyed sooner or later.
Of course, this is just a concept that often appears in various Japanese works, and Yunyu doesn't know if her deduction is correct.
Then came the words that Lolita's mother wanted to say but couldn't. That piercing voice still makes Yunyu feel a little scared.
The little girl's mother's expression earlier clearly indicated that she wanted to tell Yun Yu the answer, but for some reason she couldn't say it. It was obvious that the little girl's mother was being restricted in some way.
Having deduced to this point, Yun Yu had no other ideas to draw and had to give up.
Continuing to think about the timeline won't yield any results. Maybe as the story unfolds, I'll be able to find out more clues.
However, the feeling of not being able to control her own destiny, knowing that Earth might be destroyed, made Yun Yu uneasy no matter what.
During this time, Yunyu was also surprised to find that his brain seemed to have become much clearer. He had been lying down for almost two years in college, and by his junior year, his brain was almost rusty. If you asked him what cos30° equals, he would still think it was CS:GO.
But things are different now. The little bit of knowledge about world lines that I learned from watching Steins;Gate before, now just thinking about it makes me think of a whole bunch of things about world lines.
Now he can even remember all the trigonometric functions!
Yun Yu finally understood what it felt like for a powerful person to regain their peak strength after losing all their cultivation.
The reason for his clearer mind is quite simple: it's probably because he's become Sirius's human form. (The protagonist is the original Oo, but he only perceives himself as the human form.)
Since there are no monsters around, I could transform into Ultraman, fly through the sky, and explore the universe, right?
Thinking of this, Yun Yu held the Sirius Star Chart in her hand: "Sirius, Sirius, if you don't agree to me going to explore the universe, just say so."
I believe that any boy who gains the power of Ultraman would want to experience the power of Ultraman first, and Yun Yu was no exception.
Yun Yu is a fairly rule-abiding person, and she obediently asked before transforming.
But clearly Sirius didn't speak, and it's unknown whether this light still had self-awareness.
Not hearing a reply, Yun Yu, adhering to the principle that silence means consent, tightened her grip on the Sylvias star chart she was already holding.
The Sylvia Star Chart was like a key, unlocking the door that had been sealing away power. Almost the instant the door opened, power surged through Yun Yu's entire body.
I want to fly into the sky, I want to see the universe, and I want to experience the power of Ultraman.
With this in mind, a ball of light flew rapidly into the sky at a speed imperceptible to the human eye, breaking through the atmosphere.
When Sirius came to his senses, he found himself in the middle of space.
When his feet truly touched this boundless void, Sirius finally understood how barren humanity's understanding of the word "vastness" seemed when he witnessed the universe firsthand.
Before him lay that azure, jewel-like planet. He had just been in it, but now he felt as small as a delicate glass bead, silently suspended in eternal darkness.
Above and all around, there is a dazzling Milky Way composed of billions of stars. They are no longer the distant glimmers seen from the ground, but rather blazing fireballs and icy stardust that seem close at hand, almost within reach.
Without the obstruction of the atmosphere, the starlight no longer twinkles, but instead, with an absolutely pure and calm demeanor, silently tells of the ancient and desolate universe.
An indescribable sense of awe and reverence overwhelmed his consciousness like a tidal wave.
Before he could recover from the shock of the universe, his consciousness was completely ignited by the surging power within him.
He looked down and saw not the familiar flesh and blood body, but a tall and slender body with silver and red stripes and smooth lines. Silver dominated the body, while red served as a good embellishment. There was also a thin-looking breastplate, which made the whole body look exceptionally harmonious.
I don't even know what my face looks like. I hope I won't end up with a red-faced Guan Gong like Omega.
After feeling his own power, Sirius's somewhat flustered heart calmed down.
His gaze gradually shifted away from the azure Earth, and soon he spotted some inconspicuous near-Earth asteroids slowly orbiting the planet in the outer reaches of Earth's orbit.
Their surfaces are pitted and uneven, with a deathly grayish-brown color, like stubborn stones forgotten by the universe, silently traversing the silent deep space.
Looking at the massive rocks floating alone in the darkness, a thought suddenly flashed through Sirius's mind.
He slowly raised his right arm, making the classic cross gesture he remembered.
In an instant, the energy within his body seemed to be summoned by something, and began to frantically converge towards his right arm.
An unprecedented sense of fullness instantly filled his entire body; it was a terrifying power capable of tearing apart stars and piercing through heaven and earth.
He could clearly feel that, if he wanted, a devastating beam of light would burst forth from his arm, instantly vaporizing the asteroid several hundred meters in diameter in front of him and blasting it into dazzling dust in the universe.
This absolute sense of power over birth and death made his heart beat slightly faster.
But he eventually lowered his arm slowly, suppressing the restless energy back into his body.
Is this the power of the Ultra Warriors? Not just protection, but also the power to destroy the world...
But judging from the little girl looking at the people around her and saying "save her children," it probably represents the so-called will of the Earth. Therefore, we can infer that Mother Earth is a little girl!
