Chapter 1
Riley Parker
As the first rays of morning sunlight streamed through the window into the room, the pre-set alarm clock vibrated and jingled precisely at seven o'clock, attempting to wake the boy who was soundly asleep in bed.
Stimulated by the noisy alarm clock, the boy, unwilling to leave his sweet dream, merely reached out and groped around for a moment before finally stopping the clamor. He then relaxed his brow, preparing to drift back into a deep sleep.
"Riley, time to get up? Breakfast is ready, come down and eat, or you'll be late."
"...Okay, Mom! Whew..."
Unfortunately, before the boy could savor the beauty of his dream, a gentle call came from outside the door. Despite his reluctance, he could only obediently respond, tearfully rejecting the irresistible temptation of the warm bed.
When the boy with messy black hair slowly walked into the washroom and roughly tidied himself up, the stimulation of washing his face with cold water completely roused him, and he smelled the faint aroma of bacon in the air.
She grabbed her coat and put it on, then skipped and hopped down the stairs, effortlessly settling down at the dining table.
Before that, at the other end of the table, another boy, wearing thick glasses and bearing a resemblance to Riley but noticeably thinner and shorter, was already waiting patiently with a knife and fork in hand.
That's Riley's cousin, Peter Parker, who's been fostered by the Rileys and is fifteen years old.
In the near future, Spider-Man, the superhero whose fame will spread throughout New York City, will become a household name and a friendly neighbor.
The boy, Riley Parker, Peter Parker's cousin, is Ben and May's biological son. He was born on the same day, month, and year as Peter Parker, in the same hospital.
Riley was only born a few seconds earlier than Peter, which is why he was recognized as the "cousin".
"Aha! You were a step too slow! Looks like I've won again today!"
Of course, at this point, Peter, who had not yet gained the spider superpowers, was just an ordinary teenager.
Upon seeing Riley approach, he pushed up his glasses and greeted Riley smugly. As Aunt May brought over breakfast, he reached out his knife and fork, pretending to take the fried egg from Riley's plate, displaying his youthful energy and mischievousness.
"Hehehe, 2:3! I won again! As agreed, I'll decide where we go for the weekend!"
In his conversation, Peter mentioned that the competition was actually just a small bet between the brothers about who could get up earlier during school hours.
Given that this bet can help the two little lazybones develop a better habit of going to bed early and waking up early.
May and Ben tacitly approved of the competition, and when the two decided the winner, the couple would always give them a certain reward within an acceptable range to encourage the two children to start a new round of competition.
This virtuous cycle has become one of the excellent traditions of the Parker family.
"Don't get too cocky. I've just won so many times that I'm letting you win once in a while to give you a taste of the game."
Faced with Peter's "provocation," Riley, who was already used to it, naturally retorted without backing down, and didn't forget to reach out and gently pat the back of Peter's hand.
When Peter pulled his hand back, he pouted and stared at Riley with a pitiful expression, looking just like a poor little dog.
Riley would take advantage of May turning back to the kitchen and, under the pretext of not liking smoked meat, fork the bacon off his plate and put it on Peter's plate.
Then, facing Ben Parker's gaze, who was sitting next to him with a satisfied and indulgent smile as the two brothers bickered, he pretended to be nonchalant, put the fried egg in his bread, and ate it with warm milk.
This seems like nothing more than the Parker family's ordinary, heartwarming daily life.
But Riley knew in his heart...
From this day forward, Peter Parker's fate will be completely transformed.
Therefore, in a flash of thought, a special screen appeared in front of Riley's eyes, one that only Riley could see.

After the family enjoyed a hearty breakfast together, chatting and laughing, Riley and Peter took the subway to Midtown High School. They planned to visit Dr. Connors's laboratory during their free time after school.
"careful--!"
But shortly after stepping onto campus, a basketball, accompanied by gasps from passersby, hurtled straight toward Peter's face. Caught off guard, Peter instinctively closed his eyes, bracing himself for the impending pain.
Fortunately, with the help of his own system, Riley, whose physical attributes had been enhanced, would not stand idly by and watch his good brother embarrass himself in public.
He not only raised his hand but also easily caught the incoming basketball.
He leaned back and jumped, sending the basketball through the air in a beautiful arc before making a precise long-range shot that found the back of the net, drawing cheers from the passersby.
"Oh, hey! Riley! My good bro! That was a beautiful long-range shot! It's such a shame you're not on the school basketball team... Cough cough, don't look at me like that, buddy, it was just an accident, really! I can explain...!"
After doing all this, the culprit who caused the basketball attack on Peter, nicknamed "The Lightning" Frash Thompson, appeared in front of the Parker brothers, running quickly and sweating profusely, under the watchful eyes of the others who seemed to be watching a spectacle.
However, unlike the original storyline where Frash bullied Peter for fun because of his strong physique, this character is different.
Despite this, Frash in this universe still has a size far beyond that of his peers.
But when faced with Riley's cold, silent stare, he stammered and tried to explain himself like a mouse before a cat, completely lacking the rudeness and arrogance expected of a school bully.
