Chapter 658

Fight to the End

Chen Ze took out the Water Dragon Pearl, which spun continuously in his hand, gradually forming a small water dragon that roared and charged towards the ghost.

The ghost, trapped by the water dragon, showed an expression of extreme pain.

The two took the opportunity to quickly traverse the stone formation. Although a heavy weight was on their minds, they knew that each success would bring them one step closer to their destination.

Upon entering the other side of the stone formation, they immediately felt a breath of fresh air, as if everything that had just happened was nothing but a nightmare.

But they all knew that this was just the beginning of a series of challenges.

No one knew what dangers awaited them next, but at least for now, they had successfully escaped this stone formation filled with the unknown and fear.

Holding the Yin-Yang Mirror, Chen Ze remained vigilant, constantly alert to any sudden and strange phenomena that might occur around him.

Tian Siyao gripped the jade sword tightly, a faint green light emanating from her hand, like the vitality revealed by tender leaves under the early sun.

"Do you think there are any hidden dangers in this cave?" Chen Ze carefully examined every part of the cave, not even missing the ancient murals hanging on the walls.

Tian Siyao carefully sensed the surrounding atmosphere. "There is an unknown cold air here, and it seems to be hiding something."

We must be more careful.

Chen Ze frowned. "Air conditioning? That's not a good sign."

Tian Siyao nodded. "Yes, especially in a place like this where there is no wind."

Suddenly, a cold light flashed, and Chen Ze hurriedly swung his Qingfeng Sword to repel it.

The air in the cave seemed to freeze for a few seconds before returning to its previous deathly silence.

"What is this?" Chen Ze asked in surprise.

Tian Siyao focused intently on sensing the energy. "It's an extremely powerful yin energy. I suspect there might be ghosts here."

Chen Ze gently took out the Yin-Yang Mirror to check, but there was nothing in the mirror.

"It's strange, the Yin-Yang Mirror isn't showing anything."

“Perhaps it’s all around us, but we can’t see it right now.” Tian Siyao said as she quietly prepared a mind-clearing incantation, just in case.

Suddenly, a blurry shadow appeared on the wall, gradually becoming clearer until it completely solidified into a concrete image.

The shadow revealed a sinister smile before vanishing.

Chen Ze and Tian Siyao exchanged a glance, both understanding that the road ahead would only become more difficult.

"Whatever it may be, we must keep moving forward," Chen Ze said.

"Yes, but we must always be vigilant; nothing here is trustworthy," Tian Siyao added.

Chen Ze took out the Water Dragon Pearl, ready to deal with any unknown cold air or other crises at any time, while Tian Siyao held the Jade Sword tightly in her hand, ready to unleash the Bright Jade Blade or other ultimate moves at any moment.

“Let’s go, let’s keep going.” Chen Ze said solemnly, step by step walking deeper into the underground cave. He felt a sense of unknown fear, but even more so, a firmness and determination.

Tian Siyao nodded and followed closely behind. The green light emitted by her jade sword and the blue light of the water dragon pearl in Chen Ze's hand complemented each other, like a ray of hope in the darkness.

Chen Ze and Tian Siyao stood on the other side of the stone formation, and before them unfolded an unimaginable underground world.

This place was different from anything they had seen before; the air was filled with an indescribable stench, as if it were a mixture of the scents of various unknown creatures.

"This place," Chen Ze gripped the Yin-Yang Mirror tightly, his gaze sweeping around inquisitively.

Tian Siyao gripped the jade sword tightly in her hand, seemingly calm, but a hint of vigilance could not be hidden in her eyes.

She said softly, "We need to be careful; there may be all sorts of traps and unknown creatures here."

Just as the two were cautiously observing their surroundings, a strange gust of wind blew by, sending chills down their spines.

Then, a strange, mocking laugh came from not far away.

The two looked toward the source of the sound and saw a ghostly figure slowly appear, with a hideous face and a stench.

Chen Ze pointed the Yin-Yang Mirror at the ghostly figure, a slight smirk playing on his lips: "Looks like we have a guest." Tian Siyao immediately prepared her Jade Sword, ready to deal with any possible situation.

The ghostly figure slowly approached, each step feeling like a trampling on their hearts.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" the ghostly figure asked in a hoarse voice.

Chen Ze remained expressionless and said coldly, "It doesn't matter whose territory this is. What matters is that we're here. Can you stop us?"

The ghostly figure paused for a moment, then revealed a vicious smile.

In that instant, it suddenly transformed into a huge, ferocious monster.

"In that case, let me see you off!"

No sooner had they finished speaking than the ghostly figure lunged at them.

Chen Ze and Tian Siyao made their moves almost simultaneously. Chen Ze used the Qingfeng Sword to slash at the ghostly figure, while Tian Siyao unleashed a sword light with the Biyu Sword.

The two beams of light collided with the ghostly figure, producing a deafening sound.

Dust billowed up, blurring visibility.

"Chen Ze, this guy is not simple!" Tian Siyao said nervously.

"I know, but we can't back down." Chen Ze's eyes were firm.

At this moment, the ghostly figure let out another piercing roar, as if expressing its anger at their defiance.

But neither of them backed down; a determination arose in their hearts.

"Then let's fight to the bitter end!" Chen Ze gripped the Qingfeng Sword tightly, preparing to launch the final charge.

But the monster that appeared before them vanished with a strange sound.

Their eyes met for a fleeting moment, and at that instant, it seemed as if an invisible force flowed between them.

Just then, Tian Siyao whispered a spell, and the jade sword instantly emitted a dazzling light.

Chen Ze used his flashlight to illuminate the area ahead, and a beam of light pierced through the dense air, shining on the crystal-clear stalactites.

These stalactites, like the tears of Mother Earth, have been dripping continuously for thousands of years, forming a unique underground world.

Tian Siyao followed closely behind, gripping the hilt of the jade sword tightly with both hands, and involuntarily looked around.

"It's really beautiful here, but something feels off." Tian Siyao frowned slightly.

Chen Ze picked up a bluefish plate and gently stroked it, trying to use its power to sense the surrounding atmosphere.

"Yeah, I feel the same way."

The Yin-Yang Mirror didn't show anything unusual, but my intuition told me that something was amiss here.

Suddenly, a chilling current surged from underground and shot straight into the sky.

Chen Ze and Tian Siyao felt a chill almost simultaneously, as if every pore on their skin was screaming.

"Did you feel it?" Chen Ze asked in a low voice.

“I feel… there seems to be something else here.” Tian Siyao gently waved her Mingyu Huo magic artifact, and a beam of white light illuminated the surroundings as if it were daytime.

Just then, a dark shadow flashed past from a pile of strangely shaped but somewhat terrifying calcified objects.

"What is that!" Tian Siyao's voice was filled with terror.

"I don't know, but it's definitely not a good thing." Chen Ze gripped the hilt of the Qingfeng Sword tightly, feeling as if the sword was trembling violently.

The dark figure slowly emerged; it was a ghost, but unlike ordinary ghosts, its body constantly deformed, resembling a swirling mass of black mist.

Chen Ze pointed the Yin-Yang Mirror at it, and the mirror revealed the ghost's terrifying true form: a distorted and deformed face, eyes that almost bulged out, and a mouth so large it nearly took up the entire face. (End of Chapter)
