Chapter 665
Underwater Labyrinth
The two walked out of the library, and the town's night seemed even more tranquil.
The stars in the sky seemed to be guiding them in the right direction.
"Are you ready, Siyao?" Chen Ze glanced at Tian Siyao, whose face looked even more beautiful in the moonlight, like an elf.
“Of course, it’s all for the secret of the Five-Colored Tower,” Tian Siyao replied with a smile.
The two clasped hands and embarked on their journey to Dongyulongtan, their hearts filled with curiosity and anticipation for the unknown.
They didn't know what awaited them, but they believed that as long as there was light in their hearts, there was no difficulty that couldn't be overcome.
At that moment, their souls reached an indescribable harmony, as if the entire universe was calling out to them.
Along the way, they encountered all sorts of challenges and difficulties, but they overcame them all with their intelligence and their respective magical artifacts.
After countless twists and turns, they finally arrived at the edge of Dongyu.
"Look, that's Longtan!" Tian Siyao pointed to the magnificent palace in the distance.
“We’ve finally arrived here, Siyao.” Chen Ze smiled. “Next, it’s time to find the first key.”
The two exchanged a smile, knowing that a brand new adventure was about to begin.
Chen Ze and Tian Siyao walked along the narrow path in the active volcanic area, lava surging beneath their feet and flames leaping like fairies, as if warning any intruders.
Chen Ze gripped the Qingfeng Sword tightly in his hand, scanning his surroundings warily.
"The atmosphere here is a bit oppressive. How do you feel?" Tian Siyao gripped the jade sword tightly, a hint of worry in her eyes.
Chen Ze nodded slightly. "Indeed, but the goal is just ahead, and we cannot let our guard down."
The two passed through a crevice in the rock and finally reached the entrance of a cave.
Guarding the cave entrance was a huge, fiery red monster, seemingly sculpted from lava and flames, its eyes revealing intense hostility.
"It seems this is the guardian of the first key." Tian Siyao gripped the jade sword tightly, its tip reflecting a bright light in the firelight.
The monster roared, and a wave of heat rushed towards them.
Chen Ze raised his Qingfeng Sword to block the heat wave, but he was still drenched in sweat.
"This guy's firepower seems to be no joke; I need to be careful," Chen Ze thought warily.
"Try using my Mind-Clearing Mantra to see if I can subdue it!" Tian Siyao shouted, chanting incantations as a faint light began to emanate from the jade sword.
The incantation to enlighten the mind was released and hit the monster, but it only made it waver slightly and didn't seem to have much effect.
"Looks like we need to try a different approach." Chen Ze gritted his teeth, quickly calculating tactics in his mind.
He suddenly thought of something, took out the Yin-Yang Mirror and looked at the monster—he discovered that there was a particularly bright spot of light inside its body.
"That spot of light must be its weakness!" Chen Ze thought with delight.
"Siyao, are you ready?"
"Be ready at any time!" Tian Siyao gripped her jade sword tightly, ready to strike at any moment.
"Then listen to my command, three, two, one, now!" Chen Ze shouted, waving his Qingfeng Sword to create an illusion to distract the monster.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Tian Siyao used her jade sword and accurately struck the bright spot of light.
The monster let out a scream, and its body began to slowly disappear, as if it were being consumed by flames.
The two breathed a sigh of relief as they saw a golden key appear at the entrance of the cave. "Finally, we got the first key," Tian Siyao chuckled, picking up the key and placing it in her palm.
"We've taken another step closer to our goal, but the road ahead is still long, and we can't let our guard down." Chen Ze looked at Tian Siyao, and their eyes met, as if they could see a future full of challenges and hope.
Chen Ze and Tian Siyao stood at the edge of the dark forest, the air filled with a chilling atmosphere.
Chen Ze took out the Yin-Yang Mirror and scanned the surroundings, aiming to identify any supernatural phenomena.
“The atmosphere here is definitely different; it’s very oppressive,” he said softly.
Tian Siyao gripped the jade sword, its blade trembling slightly, as if responding to the ominous atmosphere in the forest.
"Yes, I feel the same way. We need to be careful."
The two slowly walked into the forest, where the vegetation gradually became denser, and strange sounds occasionally emanated from the jungle.
Tian Siyao's jade sword acted like a compass, guiding them forward.
Suddenly, a shadow appeared among the trees, then gradually materialized into a blurry human figure.
These phantom creatures appear in the form of their nightmares, each possessing the ability to shapeshift.
"Look, that's the Phantom Monster from the Dark Forest!" Chen Ze whispered, drawing his Qingfeng Sword. "Keep your distance, don't let it touch you!"
Tian Siyao immediately recited the Mind-Enlightening Mantra, and a bright light instantly emerged from her jade sword.
As the light shone on the phantom monster, its form began to falter, as if the illusion had been shattered.
Chen Ze observed all of this and secretly admired her: "Tian Siyao is indeed extraordinary. She can even deal with this kind of shape-shifting phantom monster so easily."
"Watch this!" Tian Siyao brandished her jade sword, its light as smooth as water, and charged straight at the phantom monster.
At the same time, Chen Ze was not to be outdone. He wielded the Qingfeng Sword and slashed down, and the two sword lights pierced the phantom monster almost simultaneously.
Under the combined attack of light and sword energy, the monster gradually became blurred and eventually dissipated into the air.
"We succeeded!" Chen Zexin looked at Tian Siyao with delight.
"Yes, but we can't let our guard down yet," Tian Siyao reminded us. "Every monster here is very cunning, we should keep moving forward."
Just as the two were about to move forward, a strange halo suddenly appeared on the ground. The halo slowly unfolded, revealing a rusty key that still exuded ancient magic.
Chen Ze squatted down and examined it carefully. "This should be the second key."
Tian Siyao smiled and nodded. "Yes, it seems we've taken another step forward."
The two put away their keys and stood once again at the edge of the forest.
A sense of relief washed over them, but they knew this was just the beginning, and there was still a long way to go.
The water surface shimmered with light as Chen Ze and Tian Siyao slowly descended into the mysterious and infamous underwater labyrinth.
Their goal was clear: to find the third key guarded by the legendary water nymph.
The two cautiously traversed the complex underwater passages, the icy seawater seemingly testing their resolve.
Chen Ze used the Yin-Yang Mirror to carefully examine the surrounding environment, trying to discover potential threats hidden in the darkness.
"The water flow here is so strange, it feels like some kind of force is guiding us." Tian Siyao took out her jade sword and used it as a light source to illuminate the surrounding darkness.
Chen Ze nodded. "Yes, I have that feeling too; it's chilling." (End of Chapter)
