The Beast Tide Arrives

"Is everyone here?"

About half an hour later, the grade director looked at the growing number of students around him and asked one of the teachers in charge of counting them.

"Two more are needed. We received word from the Thunderbolt Security Group that two security guards are escorting the two students, and they should be out in no more than three minutes."

Upon hearing this, the grade head nodded.

Just as they were about to tell everyone to get on the bus so they could leave immediately when the last two people came out, they were about to leave.

His expression suddenly changed.

Not only him, but also the teacher and others beside him looked solemnly in the direction of the Misty Forest.

Over there, a dense and noisy cacophony of beast roars rose and fell, growing ever closer.

"The beast tide is coming! Everyone, prepare for battle!"

"All security personnel and instructors at the Awakening level and above, stand at the outermost edge. Those below the Awakening level, stay in the back with the students!"

Upon noticing the increasingly approaching roars and sounds of ferocious beasts charging through the misty forest, the head of the grade immediately made arrangements.

One order after another was issued.

All the teachers and security personnel quickly summoned their summoned beasts, formed ranks, and stood ready for battle.

Tang Zihan, a powerful commander-level beast tamer, arrived in front of Su Yuan immediately. In front of her, the Earth Bear stood tall, its powerful aura forcing the other beast tamers around to take a step back.

Su Yuan, Shi Qianying, and Huangfu Yunzhao also spontaneously stood together, summoned their beasts, and stood behind Tang Zihan.

Both Huangfu Yunzhao and Shi Qianying possessed ordinary-grade beasts, but their quality was higher than that of most of the awakened and extraordinary-grade beasts present.

In particular, Huangfu Yunzhao's tamed beast, besides being of exceptionally high quality, was also a rare plant-based tamed beast, which made Su Yuan take a few more glances at it.

[Poisonous Treant (Contracted)]

Species: Tree Spirit/Wood type, Poison type

Number of evolutions: 1

Evolution Plan 1: Materials required for the next stage of evolution: ...

"A plant-type beast tamer, looks pretty good. Perhaps I can try contracting a plant-type beast for my next tamer!"

"Huangfu Yunzhao's Poisonous Vine Tree Demon is quite good, with an excellent quality of eight stars. Looking at its skills, most of them are control skills."

"It should be good for crowd control!"

Su Yuan looked at the poisonous vine tree demon summoned by Huangfu Yunzhao, his eyes lit up, and he thought to himself.

Then, Su Yuan turned his attention to the beast summoned by Shi Qianying.

It was a bird with three crimson flames burning on its head, and its feathers were a dazzling gold, making it look extremely extraordinary.

【Fire-Crowned Golden Eagle (Contracted)】

Species: Birds/Fire

Quality: Excellent (Seven Stars)

Level: Common Tier 6

Status: Perfect

Skills: Fire Dance, Fire Feathers, Golden Flames

Number of evolutions: 1

Evolution Plan 1: Materials required for the next stage of evolution: ...

"Shi Qianying's beast is also quite good, with the quality of an excellent seven-star beast and the level of an ordinary sixth-tier beast, not much worse than Xiao Xuan's previous one."

"With such a beast, especially a flying one, even if Shi Qianying encounters an ordinary ninth-tier ferocious beast and is no match for it, she can still escape unscathed."

"No wonder she was so confident in staying to help."

After examining the two beasts, Su Yuan nodded slightly.

At the same time, one can't help but feel grateful for the support of a powerful family behind them, as their first natal beast is a high-quality beast that ordinary people can't even contract in their entire lives.

If it were him, without any background, even with the support of the school, his first natal beast would only be a rare nine-star Blastoise.

Even if it evolves according to the beast evolution route researched in this world, it will evolve into the Water King Turtle with the help of the school.

At best, it's only about three stars of quality.

Both Shi Qianying's Fire-Crowned Golden Eagle and Huangfu Yunzhao's Poisonous Vine Tree Demon are quite different.

"roar--"

Just then, a powerful tiger roar rang out.

Su Yuan looked in the direction of the sound and saw a white tiger with lightning flashing all over its body appear in his line of sight.

The white tiger is about two meters long, and its body is constantly flashing with electric light, giving it an extraordinary aura.

The white tiger's owner was none other than Li Ming.

[Lightning Tiger (Contracted)]

Type: Ferocious Beast

Species: Tiger/Thunder

Quality: Excellent (Seven Stars)

Level: Common Tier 5

Status: Perfect

Skills: Tiger Roar, Lightning Arrow, Thunderbolt

Number of evolutions: 1

Evolution Plan 1: Materials required for the next stage of evolution: ...

"A beast taming expert with the rank of Seven Star Excellence, and a lightning-type ferocious beast that excels at offense. Li Ming's beast taming is quite impressive."

After glancing at the Lightning Tiger's attributes, Su Yuan suddenly understood the source of Li Ming's confidence.

This exceptional seven-star Lightning Tiger is indeed formidable.

If Su Yuan hadn't awakened the special talent of "Heavenly Revelation Divine Eye," even if his Beast Tamer Xiao Xuan evolved into the Water King Turtle, it would still be far inferior to the Lightning Tiger.

"Hehe, Su Yuan must be dumbfounded now that he's seen my Lightning Tiger."

"My Lightning Tiger was evolved from a rare nine-star Thunder Cat at great expense by my family, and its quality has reached the excellent seven-star level. What makes Su Yuan's Blastoise compare to me!"

On the other side, when Li Ming summoned the Lightning Tiger, he deliberately glanced in the direction of Su Yuan and the others.

Even the roar of the Lightning Tiger just now was deliberately made by him to attract the attention of others.

Seeing the gaze Su Yuan cast his way, Li Ming couldn't help but feel smug.

Rumble...

"Everyone, save people! Fight!"

Just as Li Ming was thinking this, the ground began to shake, and the grade director's angry roar immediately drew everyone's attention.

Su Yuan looked up and saw four figures rushing out of the misty forest ahead, heading frantically toward their meeting point.

It was the last two students who had not yet returned to the team, along with the security personnel accompanying them.

Behind the four were countless ferocious beasts, roaring and chasing after them.

Boom boom boom!!!

As soon as Su Yuan spotted them, a barrage of ranged attacks—fire, ice, rocks, wind blades, and more—slammed into the horde of ferocious beasts behind them.

The ferocious beasts in the front row were almost instantly overwhelmed by the barrage of attacks, falling to the ground and being mercilessly trampled by the ferocious beasts following closely behind, all dying instantly.

With the full support of numerous teachers and security personnel at the assembly point.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, the four successfully escaped the beast horde that was close behind them and, with the help of others, returned to the defensive circle formed by the rendezvous point.

"Thank goodness, we almost didn't make it back."

The four people who had escaped with their lives breathed a sigh of relief. The two peak-level ordinary security personnel glanced at the ferocious beast that was attacking the defense line with lingering fear and said breathlessly.

As for the two students from Tianyang No.1 Middle School, their legs went weak and they collapsed to the ground.
