Molten Mountains

"Manager Gu Xu, does this mean I've passed the test?"

After putting away the Youlang's ferocious beast core and Xiao Xuan, Su Yuan looked innocently at Gu Xu, who was stunned by the strength Xiao Xuan had displayed.

"Well, it passed, of course."

Looking at Su Yuan's innocent expression, and recalling Xiao Xuan's swift and skillful movements after killing Youlang, Gu Xu's lips twitched slightly.

The Adventurers' Guild's assessment only requires participants to defeat the beast used in the assessment. Su Yuan's killing of the Ghost Wolf already resulted in the Adventurers' Guild losing a beast used in the assessment.

However, after Su Yuan killed the Ghost Wolf, he even took away the Ghost Wolf's crystal core first, showing that he had no intention of voluntarily handing it over to the Adventurers' Guild to stop their losses.

This left Gu Xu speechless.

However, after witnessing firsthand the formidable combat power of Su Yuan's beast-taming abilities, Gu Xu had already begun to look at Su Yuan with new respect.

He naturally wouldn't hold it against Su Yuan for taking away the Youlang's ferocious beast core.

Moreover, for the Adventurers' Guild, a mere awakened Tier 1 Ghost Wolf is only worth around 20,000 to 30,000.

If someone dies, they die; it's no big deal.

"Haha, of course! Young man, your skills are truly extraordinary, a real eye-opener for me!"

"I'll have someone go and get the necessary paperwork done for the young man right away."

"By the way, young man, you are such a talented person, may I ask your name?"

"Now that I know your name, young man, I can have my subordinates register you."

Faced with Su Yuan's question, Gu Xu remained silent for a moment before bursting into laughter and then asked.

"Su Yuan".

Upon hearing this, Su Yuan spoke in a low voice.

"Su Yuan, that name sounds familiar..."

"Wait! Isn't this the genius from Tianyang No. 1 High School who recently awakened his A-level beast-taming talent?"

"Moreover, it is said that Su Yuan also obtained a Blastoise from the breeding center in Tianyang City as his tamed beast, and the tamed beast that kid just used also happened to be a turtle."

"Given all this, this kid's identity is definitely correct!"

"However, the strength of the turtle-type beast that Su Yuan just summoned is simply incomparable to that of the Blastoise."

"Could it be that Su Yuan has already evolved his Blastoise into a perfect-quality Tsunami Turtle?"

"This is just too outrageous! In all my years, I've never seen a perfectly high-quality tamed beast!"

Upon hearing Su Yuan's reply, Gu Xu was startled and immediately recalled some information about Su Yuan.

When she looked at Su Yuan again, her surprise was even greater.

Blastoise is a rare and ferocious beast; an ordinary Tier 8 Blastoise would never be able to defeat a Tier 1 Awakened Ghost Wolf.

Even after Blastoise evolved once, the superior quality of the Jaguar could not achieve this.

Only Blastoise's final evolved form, the Tsunami Turtle, which reaches perfect quality, is capable of killing a level 1 Awakened Ghost Wolf when it is at a normal level 8.

Upon learning of Su Yuan's identity, Gu Xu did not hesitate and immediately took out his communicator to arrange for his subordinates to register Su Yuan as an adventurer.

After doing all this, Gu Xu arranged for the Adventurers' Guild staff to clean up the ghost wolf corpse in the arena.

He then accompanied Su Yuan as they left the assessment area.

……

A quarter of an hour later, Su Yuan, carrying his own adventurer's badge, accepted several rewarding quests, left the Adventurer's Guild, hailed a taxi, and headed towards the city gate of Tianyang City.

"Tianyun City and Tianyang City are adjacent to each other, both being cities located around the Misty Forest."

"Between the two lies a molten lava mountain range, inhabited by numerous ferocious beasts with fire attributes."

"The fire element in the Molten Mountains is extremely concentrated, making it an excellent place for Xiao Yan to improve his strength."

"There are still three months until the college entrance examination. I'll use this time to train in the Molten Mountains."

After half an hour, Su Yuan arrived at the city gate of Tianyang City by car. He glanced at the map in his hand and made a plan in his mind.

Su Yuan had originally planned to go to Tianyun City and visit the Voodoo Forest.

To better hunt ferocious beasts in the Voodoo Jungle, one must find suitable plant-based ferocious beasts to form contracts with.

Su Yuan must cultivate the strength of his only fire-type beast, Xiao Yan.

Only in this way, with a fire-type beast that can restrain plant-type ferocious beasts, can he be more at ease in the Voodoo Forest.

Therefore, Su Yuan had already decided on his plan to train in the wild before heading to the Adventurers' Guild.

The adventurer guild quests he accepted were all related to the Molten Mountains.

Furthermore, each task is a long-term task with no strict time limit.

This makes it easier for Su Yuan to train in the Molten Fire Mountains.

Even if Su Yuan travels through the Molten Fire Mountains to Tianyun City, enters the Voodoo Forest, and then returns to Tianyang City, he can still complete the mission.

Outside the city, after Su Yuan determined the general direction, he put away the map in his hand and summoned Xiao Xuan to lead him all the way towards the Molten Fire Mountain Range.

Although Tianyun City and Tianyang City are adjacent and surrounded by the Misty Forest, the distance between them is more than 200 kilometers.

The Molten Mountain Range, which lies between them, is 80 kilometers away from Tianyang City.

Even with a beast like Xiao Xuan, whose strength is comparable to that of an awakened beast, Su Yuan was able to travel on his behalf.

However, Xiao Xuan was not good at speed, and ferocious beasts would occasionally appear in the wild to block his way.

Therefore, it took Su Yuan two hours to reach the outer edge of the Molten Mountain Range.

Upon arriving at the outer edge of the Molten Mountains, Su Yuan clearly felt that the surrounding temperature had risen considerably.

Upon arriving at the outer edge of the Molten Mountains, Su Yuan looked up and saw a continuous range of mountain peaks stretching into the distance.

Some of the mountain peaks were still emitting billowing steam, and the air above the steaming volcanoes was slightly distorted.

The mountaintop was bathed in a crimson glow.

These are all volcanoes, and the red color on their summits is the color of magma from the crater reflecting into the surrounding air.

"This is the Lava Mountains. It's much more spectacular than what you see on TV."

On Xiao Xuan's back, Su Yuan looked at the scenery before him with a smile on his face.

Then, Su Yuan looked at Xiao Xuan again and said to it:

"Xiao Xuan, let's go and hunt down the ferocious beasts in the surrounding area."

"You are a water-attribute beast tamer, so you are well-suited to counter the fire-attribute beasts in this Molten Mountain Range."

"Huff, huff!"

Hearing Su Yuan's words, Xiao Xuan nodded obediently, and then strode ahead with Su Yuan to hunt ferocious beasts in the surrounding area of the Molten Fire Mountain Range.

Before long, Su Yuan and Xiao Xuan encountered the first ferocious beast on the outskirts of the Molten Fire Mountain Range.

"Xiao Xuan, take it down!"

Looking at the millstone-sized candle spider that appeared before him, Su Yuan smiled faintly and gave the order with ease.
