Finals: The terrifying defense of the ancient shield!

"It's a different kind of equipment for taming beasts!"

At that moment, Wang Gang also looked at the shield on the platform with a surprised expression and exclaimed in a low voice.

Not only him, but Zhao Zhongyue, who was in the main seat on the left, was also shocked.

The two exchanged a knowing glance, both feeling a sense of感慨 (gǎnkǎi, mixed feelings).

If it weren't for Su Yuan, that oddball, Wei Hao would definitely have been the top leader in Tianyang City this year!

"Haha, Old Wang, what do you think of Wei Hao's exotic beast taming ability?"

Seeing Wang Gang's reaction, Liu Ren looked at him with delight and chuckled softly.

"You know the answer already, so you ask."

Upon hearing Liu Ren's words, Wang Gang suppressed the shock on his face and spoke calmly.

"Keep pretending, okay?"

"I want to see how Shi Qianying's two beasts will win against Wei Hao, who possesses two awakened sixth-tier beasts!"

Seeing Wang Gang's expression return to calm, and hearing his indifferent response.

Liu Ren thought to himself, and stopped talking to Wang Gang. Instead, he looked down at the high platform below.

Below, the battle between Shi Qianying and Wei Hao has begun.

"The Infernal Two-Headed Lion, the Fiery-Crowned Golden Eagle, it's up to you!"

"Their two beast tamers possess astonishing defensive capabilities. Do everything you can to threaten their beast tamers!"

Looking at the giant elephant-armored beast and the shield in front of Wei Hao, Shi Qianying cast a firm and trusting gaze at her two tamed beasts.

Shi Qianying only suggested attack targets to her two tamed beasts, without giving them any instructions on how to do it.

During this time, Shi Qianying also intensified her practical training, knowing that her two tamed beasts had their own judgment in battle.

The two beast tamers had a stronger fighting instinct than she, the beast tamer.

Now, facing a formidable foe, she simply lets her two tamed beasts fight based on their own combat instincts, instead of commanding them herself.

"roar--"

"唳——"

Upon hearing Shi Qianying's words, both the Purgatory Two-Headed Lion and the Fire-Crowned Golden Eagle let out a loud roar.

They immediately rushed towards Wei Hao on the opposite side of the platform.

As the two beasts charged forward, bursts of violent fiery energy erupted, and various fireballs rained down on Wei Hao.

"Heh, how naive!"

Despite the overwhelming barrage of attacks, Wei Hao remained unfazed and let out a cold snort.

The giant elephant-armored beast also roared loudly and charged towards the charging two-headed lion of purgatory.

The two clashed almost instantly, and the moment they made contact, the two-headed lion of the Purgatory, unleashing its full power, felt immense pressure.

They could only struggle against the giant elephant-armored beast.

Although the Purgatory Two-Headed Lion has reached the perfect three-star quality, at its second awakened level, it is no match for the excellent nine-star, sixth awakened elephant armor behemoth.

In particular, the elephant-armored behemoth is also an extremely skilled defensive beast, with thick hide and strong defense.

Although the flames of the Infernal Two-Headed Lion were powerful, they were not enough to cause much damage to the armored behemoth.

On the contrary, the giant elephant-armored beast, which was several times larger than the Infernal Two-Headed Lion, attacked with tremendous force, forcing the Infernal Two-Headed Lion to dodge instead of confronting it head-on.

At this rate, the defeat of the Infernal Two-Headed Lion is inevitable.

Meanwhile, Shi Qianying's tamed beast, the Fire-Crowned Golden Eagle, had already flown over Wei Hao.

Without any hesitation, a series of sharp and scorching attacks descended from the sky, crashing down on Wei Hao below.

hum! ! !

Just as these attacks were about to hit Wei Hao, the Ape Soul Ancient Shield flashed and landed on Wei Hao's head.

Then, an invisible barrier instantly unfolded, protecting Wei Hao completely within it.

Boom boom boom!!!

The Fire-Crowned Golden Eagle's attack followed closely, landing on the Ape Soul Ancient Shield and the barrier, causing a violent explosion.

The flames instantly engulfed the figures of the Ape Soul Ancient Shield and Wei Hao, and the rolling heat wave amazed the spectators on the outside.

"With such a fierce attack, won't Wei Hao, who's at the center of the flames, get hurt?"

"Don't worry, didn't you see that the referee in charge of this battle didn't make any move? He's a lord-level powerhouse. If there were any real danger, he would have stopped the match long ago."

"This Fire-Crowned Golden Eagle's attacks are incredibly powerful. It's only at the fourth awakening stage, yet it feels even stronger than my seventh-awakened Flame Wolf!"

"Hehe, this Fire-Crowned Golden Eagle is a high-quality beast of the Excellent Seven-Star rank, how can your Flame Wolf, which is only of the Excellent Three-Star rank, compare?"

"These are the geniuses of our Tianyang City. Compared to us, they are far superior."

……

The crowd watching around the square was buzzing with discussion, while on the high platform, the Fire-Crowned Golden Eagle's attack had ended.

When all the flames subsided, Wei Hao, protected in the middle by the Ape Soul Ancient Shield, was completely unharmed; not even a single hair on his head was disturbed.

"How is that possible!"

Seeing Wei Hao completely unharmed after the flames subsided, Shi Qianying's pretty face showed an expression of disbelief.

The Fire-Crowned Golden Eagle had just unleashed its full power in the attack, which was strong enough to kill most ferocious beasts below the seventh level of awakening.

But Wei Hao was completely unharmed.

Clearly, with that shield in place, even if her beast got close to the opponent, it wouldn't be able to break through the opponent's defenses.

This battle is no longer viable.

"The Fire-Crowned Golden Eagle is indeed a fine beast to tame. Shi Qianying, I admit that you are very strong, capable of being number one."

"What a pity you ran into me."

"Therefore, the honor of being the first Tianyang Core Player should be mine, and the reward should be mine too!"

"You'd better surrender, otherwise your two-headed lion from Purgatory might get hurt."

Across from him, Wei Hao crossed his arms and spoke with his usual arrogant expression.

Upon hearing this, a look of struggle flashed across Shi Qianying's face.

Seeing the two-headed lion of purgatory falling behind under the attack of the giant elephant-armored beast, she finally sighed and shouted:

"I give up!"

As soon as she spoke, Wei Hao also stopped the elephant-armored behemoth.

After the two beasts were separated, they were both put back into their respective beast-taming bracelets.

At the same time, the host raised the microphone and loudly announced that Wei Hao had won.

"It's finally over. I never expected that the honor of being the first core student of Tianyang City would fall on the shoulders of Tianyang No. 2 Middle School."

"Yes, his beast taming is too strong; they've all reached the sixth level of awakening!"

"This is all thanks to that exotic shield-bearing beast. It doesn't need any training; it can level up directly along with the beast tamer, saving Wei Hao a lot of effort and allowing him to focus on improving the level of the elephant-armored behemoth."

"No matter what, this is all due to Wei Hao's own strength. He truly deserves the title of the number one core member in Tianyang City."

"I watched the whole competition, and now I'm just waiting for the mayor to announce the rankings of all the core students in Tianyang City."

……

With the final battle results announced, all eyes turned to the VIP seat, focusing on Zhao Zhongyue.
