Chapter 37

This road is mine!

"Um, Sejuani, have you fed your Juvaski?"

"I fed it a little before we came out. This beast tends to stop working when it's full... What's wrong?"

"It keeps crying that it's hungry, and it's giving me a headache... Why don't you feed it a little more?"

Sejuani blinked, took a handful of dried beans from her pocket, and stuffed them into Juvask's mouth.

"Ah, now that you've had something to eat, you can shut up, right?"

Udir stroked Juvask's fur and said irritably.

Their group, including Urkas, Yorn, and Hela who came to help, had arrived at the port that Udyr had mentioned.

Of course, the looting was mainly done by Sejuani, while Urkas and others were called upon primarily to transport supplies and serve as witnesses.

After all, this was Sejuani's battle to establish her authority. Before she left, she gave strict orders that no one was allowed to help without her permission... She was going to handle it all by herself.

But something just didn't seem right to Herren...

"Udyr, is this the... merchant ship you were talking about?"

Herren looked at the "giant ship" docked in the harbor and was speechless for a moment.

This port looks like a small, temporary port. They found a relatively warm spot along the shore and built a foothold with a few planks.

And that ship... damn it, it's almost as big as this port.

Moreover, in Harren's imagination, they... no, Sejuani was probably going to face ordinary caravan guards.

But looking at the heads emerging from the deck from afar, and seeing their heavily armed and sharp appearance, they were clearly Noxus's regular army!

"Is there a problem? I often see people shipping goods from here."

"This doesn't look like a caravan... those on top are probably Noxian soldiers."

Upon hearing this, Udir made no comment.

"Oh... is there a difference?"

"..."

The Freljord version is outdated; Noxus is a militaristic empire, while Freljord is still stuck in the Clash of Clans version... Udyr isn't quite clear on the difference between ordinary guards and regular troops; he's probably just clearing them out...

What a load of rubbish!

"Udyr, the rumors are true, you've probably gone mad... You want to provoke the Noxian regular army? What's the difference between that and declaring war?"

"Declared war? Who declared war on them? Winter's Claw? Or Sejuani?"

"Forehead……"

Herren was stunned again, but after a moment of realization, he suddenly understood.

Yes, they're just a tribe... not some proper country, so what diplomatic disputes could they possibly have? At best, they're like the heroes of Liangshan.

Those who have nothing to lose are not afraid of those who have something to lose. What does it matter if we rob his birthday gifts?

The Noxians have no worries about food or clothing. Once they've earned enough resources to reach Mount Ornn... wouldn't that be wonderful?

Herren reflected on himself again, realizing he shouldn't have brought his mindset from high-level games to Iron rank... It's Clash of Clans, so just go for it.

"But... the regular army is definitely stronger."

"The stronger they are, the better. I'm actually afraid they'll be too weak... It would be best if they left me with a few scars so I can go back and brag about it."

Sejuani didn't care about Heron's slight concerns; on the contrary, she became even more eager to try.

The stronger the enemy, the more advantageous it is for Sejuani.

If you win, your reputation doubles; if you lose, it's still proof of your courage.

"Okay, I'm ready to go."

Sejuani picked up Thirst of Blood, tightened her Winter's Approach armor, and prepared to seize the birthday gifts.

"Hey, I'm telling you, you're not just planning to barge in like this, are you?"

"Heh, I'm not that stupid. I need to figure out their situation first... Don't worry, leave it to me."

Seeing that Sejuani was full of confidence, Heron said no more.

Soon, Sejuani, relying on her experience of hiding in the snow, quietly approached the giant ship. After searching for a while, she circled around to the other side, presumably looking for a suitable place to infiltrate.

But by then, she was already out of Herren and the others' sight.

Before Sejuani could cause any more trouble, Harren, Udyr, and the others could only wait quietly.

Heron glanced at Urkas and the others, even Udyr, but didn't seem too worried. Perhaps they had great faith in Sejuani's strength, or perhaps they didn't take the Noxians seriously.

Perhaps due to his preconceived notions from his previous life, Heron instinctively felt that Noxus equaled power and danger, so he was still somewhat uneasy.

He absentmindedly examined the giant ship, but after a while, his craftsman's spirit began to stir, and he couldn't help but start observing the ship's structure.

To say he understood it, he certainly didn't. He couldn't build ships, but he could still see the advanced shipbuilding technology of Noxus.

This ship seems perfectly capable of ocean voyages, and could even navigate the harsh icy waters of Freljord... Compared to Freljord, which is still stuck in the Viking longship tech tree, it's a league of difference in technology.

Herren looked around casually, but inadvertently noticed the flags hanging on the mast of the giant ship.

There were two flags. The one on top was one that Herren recognized; it was the Noxian symbol. But the ones below it were unfamiliar to Herren; they just looked somewhat familiar.

A four-pointed star with sharp edges and corners...

Herren had a strange sense of familiarity; he felt like he'd seen this logo somewhere before…

"Udyr, do you recognize that flag? It looks like a family crest?"

"Home what?"

"Um, I mean... something like our totem?"

"I don't know him. If you do, I'd be happy to humbly learn from him."

"If I remembered, why would I be asking you..."

When Herren found that he couldn't get any answers from Udyr, he put the little incident out of his mind.

……

……

The Noxian ship was eerily quiet, which made Sejuani's infiltration very difficult.

In her view, the period when the ship is anchored is a time for rest, and perhaps the people on board should relax their vigilance.

But she underestimated the Noxians' discipline. She waited outside the fence for a long time, only able to hear the footsteps of the patrolling guards, and not even a loud whisper.

But she was no pushover either. After a long while, she finally figured out the Noxian patrol routes, seized the opportunity, and climbed onto the deck.

After dodging several more sentries, Sejuani finally sneaked into what looked like a storage warehouse. She wanted to find out what was there first and whether it was worth robbing.

If not, she'll make a scene, smash things up, and then leave.

During this time, she did not run into anyone and did not give herself away in the slightest.

But what she didn't know was the Noxians' use of magic... The moment she stepped into the warehouse, an invisible barrier was triggered and sent a message to the bow of the ship.

At this moment, she was already dazzled by the many things in the warehouse.

The warehouse was full of dried meat, cheese, biscuits, and alcohol... In Noxus's eyes, these were emergency supplies, but in Sejuani's eyes, anything edible was a treasure!

She even had the urge to find a pocket to put it in... thankfully, she wasn't that greedy.

She then checked the other items in the warehouse, including minerals she had prepared to take from Freljord, as well as some trinkets that Sejuani had never seen before.

Perhaps Herren would like it...

Sejuani was certain that this raid would be incredibly lucrative...

After a quick inventory, Sejuani calmed herself down and prepared to go out to find an opportunity to take out a few soldiers.

But just then, she heard a low growl.

The roar sounded like a human, but it was too rough; it was more like some kind of large wild beast…

Sejuani looked in the direction the sound came from, only to see at the end of the warehouse a large iron gate wrapped in sheet metal and heavily locked.

Sejuani hesitated for a moment, but out of curiosity, unaware that she had already been exposed, she still approached the door.

The closer they got, the heavier the breathing became... There was something behind the door!
